How many languages are characters supposed to know and is it enforced by DMs? Last I heard it was Common/Undercommon + one per int mod. How does it work for races that have their own language? Do elves get Elven + Common + one per int mod?

All characters know how to speak Common. A dwarf, elf, gnome, half-elf, half-orc, or halfling also speaks a racial language, as appropriate. A character who has an Intelligence bonus at 1st level speaks other languages as well, one extra language per point of Intelligence bonus as a starting character.
Generally, (common/undercommon + racial + bonus languages) + base INT mod. I think it's accepted on Amia that every 5 ranks of Lore also allows you to "know a language."
DM's probably aren't going to delete your character for violations, but if you're a polyglot with low INT, it's going to look a bit odd.
I usually go with Common/Undercommon + racial + 1/INT mod. If I have left over skill points then I might 'buy' a language or two as well.

Common/Undercommon, any regional or species languages if your back story allows it, then one per int mod. You can also learn other languages.
If you qant to be shady though, remember that language rules out side of secret languages isn't really enforced at all and if questioned about how you know x language just be ready to have a reason, then the worst you get is a scowl as you transition from Terran to Drow to Ruathem to Sylvan effortlessly.
I see both get used interchangeably. The area name is officially "Nes'ek", per the module. You could chalk it up to regional dialect. Or typos. Like seeing Kohl and Khol.

At what level Dradon Disciple should I get a DM to set the colour? Do I need to have the changed abilities first or can a DM do that before I have the breath weapon and/or the wings?

At any point after taking your first DD level a DM is able to do it, I believe. So long as you meet the prerequisites for your chosen dragon, of course.

No, not 10, they usually do it at 3 when you get the breath weapon, since that's the first outward change. And by usually, that's when mine were changed, so that's all I know.
Next weird question: I know we have a thing about being 100% horse-free, but there are goblins with a worg-riding model in the bramble woods. Would it be possible to request a goblin ranger to be able to ride his dire wolf animal companion? I mean with a skinchanger that would, if I understand riding correctly, change the model to a wolf with a goblin tail. Or, as a different idea, a spider-rider?
And now, third question today, I feel like an idiot. Why did taking level 4 of RDD take away the AC I got from level 1? Shouldn't it only take away the AC I get at level 8 and 10?

Because Amia has altered the RDD class into DD. You received 2 AC at level 2 I think. It's at level 4 that they give a negative AC to balance it out.
Here's the changes to DD on Amia:
Draconic Armor This feat gives a maximum of +2 AC, rather than +4. Note that an epic RDD still receives the bonus +1 AC at level 15 and 20, meaning that a level 20 RDD would receive a bonus of +4 AC altogether.
Draconic Abilities This feat gives a maximum of +4 Strength, rather than +8.
Draconic Breath This ability allows the RDD to breathe a cone of energy, 20-feet long, dealing 1d10 damage per RDD level; Reflex Save DC 10 + RDD Level + Constitution modifier, for half damage. This may be used an unlimited amount of times per day, but has a cool-down between each use.
The base cool-down is 5 turns (or 300 seconds). For every 2 points into Constitution beyond 10, the cool-down is decreased by 10 seconds. For example, a Dragon Disciple with 20 Constitution has a cool-down of 250 seconds. A Dragon Disciple with 30 Constitution has a cool-down of 200 seconds. Note that it is the final Constitution after equipment and spells, not base Constitution.
Immunity to Fire Instead of a 100% immunity to fire, the RDD now receives a 50% immunity to the elemental type appropriate to their dragon color.
Yeah, I can see that. What confuses (and annoys) me, is that it does not say when you should gain how much AC. I currently do not have any extra AC from DD, and I am just wondering when/if I will get that AC with my planned build, or if the poorly described changes will screw me over. Would it be that difficult to write the AC progression in there? Or, in that line, just say that you get the STr bonuses at 2 and 4, instead of just saying "you get less"?

The notes sort of assume you know when RDD vanilla gives you your AC, which is as 1, 5, 8 and 10, and then 15 and 20. Amia takes AC away at 4 and 10, so between elvels 4 and 5 (not sure why.) you have a bit of time where you lose an AC and then go back up. That's why you're seeing the AC drop.
(If you ask me, it's a clever way to discourage people from taking just 4 RDD for the +4 STR, by making them no longer get the 1 AC at that level.)

Call this a dumb question (or call ME dumb, whatever. Wouldn't be the first time!), but:
Say, someone had a new character, and they were XX alignment or served XX god, but no one knew yet, and they went into a place that has either an IC posting of "Don't let people of XX alignment or XX group in Y area," or is simply known OOCly as the anti-XX area, and the character goes there, is it metagaming? (If so, then I did a whoops.)
Assuming your deity allows it too you can just lie or even wear holy symbols of a different God. God's who have domains like trickery or deciet ic have no issue with you saying you worship kelemvor and acting like a really really bad Doomguide dispensing incorrect advice on death for example.

One way I've heard and seen it roleplayed was that a Dragon Disciple "molts" their scales incrementally. In a similar manner to how a reptile has to shed its skin when it grows larger, a DD might have to shed their old scales when gaining STR and CON. Losing AC at certain levels was indeed a way to discourage certain dipping, AFAIK, but that is a possible way it can be explained IC.

alright i'll place this in General forum guessing i'm in the right place. There are about seven players now active in the underdark for a few weeks now, not to exclude the surface players that are now taking up residence in the ud. We well I would like to know if it is fine for us to start conducting raids to the surface and if there is a dm who is interested in checking in on us laying out the do's and don'ts of such raids. I am of the mind that the frozen far is is built for such raids we'll be screen shotting things and posting them in the ud forums. Would be nice though if someone would give us some oversight. We aren't trying to go full bore as of yet just ready to get more active.

Quick question, are y'all based out of Nec'perya? Just wondering cause I hadn't heard there was anything going on in the UD and I know at least one char that would be interested on what's happening.

To the DM's - Is it possible to request a leto feat change to fix a mechanical bug in the NWN engine preventing a build
In this instance I was attempting to make a 28Druid/1Fighter/1Rogue build with Dragonshape. With 18 starting Wisdom Dragon shape requires five greater wisdom feats + the Dragonshape feat itself, meaning all Epic + all bonus epic Druid feats need to be taken towards Dragonshape. All fine and dandy. The issue arises attempting to take your 28th Druid level at level 30, giving you a bonus Druid feat and a Epic feat on the same level.
And now we get to the issue. Grabbing "Greater Wisdom V" does not update your characters total Wisdom (from 29 to 30) before finalizing the feat selections, thus preventing you from taking Dragon shape, despite the fact you -should- have 30 Wisdom. You also must take Dragonshape on a Druid (or Shifter) level, meaning there is no order in which I take the levels that makes this build possible.
Is it possible to request a LETO feat change in this instance, switching out a random filler feat for Dragonshape?
On a side note - the reason this doesn't happen for skill requirements towards Epic Spells is due to the Skill selection window being before the Feat window.
Honestly that bug broke my shifter since I attempted to go out of my way to take 30 wisdom to get it and at level 30 encountered the same issue as you. This would be a great stance by the team if possible, but so far as I know it would have to be done through the database, which is not so easy.
I don't know if amia's dm tools are different, but from personal experience you cannot leto feats from the DM client, only stats like str, dex, con, ect. You can't add or remove feats unless amia has a special DM client tool for it.
Now one workaround that could totally be done is for a DM to leto your Wisdom score to 30 at the level before you would take Dragonshape via dm_setSTAT commands, and then require that you take the great wisdom feat and dragonshape afterward at level 30, and then leto your wisdom down from 31 to 30. That seems a bit iffy, but as long as the character is edited to their correct stat it should be entirely legitimate.
And again, this is a workaround for a bug in the NWN engine, not a way to cheat to get something you normally can't. It really is just a broken mechanic that needs fixing.

Would it be possible on request to go the ~ModWIS 1 way using the ingame DM debug menu then and grabbing a filler feat of the DM's choice instead? Something useless like a non-used skill focus feat, or the custom feat (Dont think you can take this in epic levels if I recall). This is an engine bug that only really effects the already super restricted Dragonshape feat (in the sense of a massive feat investment) and maybe in some rare cases Dev crit or Epic dodge (Unlikely due to the Odd stat requirement instead of even)
Nope. not possible, sorry. Great (stat) feats explicitly don't apply until the level is finished. Dev Crit, Epic Dodge, Great Smite, everyone has to work around this limitation.

it's why the + wisdom races are essentially mandatory if you want to make a good dragon shifter. That extra wisdom bonus literally turns into a free epic spell focus and an epic spell.
One of the many things I wish I knew when I started; the build I was given didn't work. Didnt find out until level 30 either.
Quick question, are y'all based out of Nec'perya? Just wondering cause I hadn't heard there was anything going on in the UD and I know at least one char that would be interested on what's happening.
a mixture of all the ud races and i think dragon heads to but we are working out of L'Obsul. any drow business is on them. this is an inclusive thing here.

If I may take the liberty of adding to oshizo2's reply...
The hope is to spawn factions from the core 'trade' alliance. One of these factions should, hopefully, be a lolthite house operating out of Nec'perya. Another possibility, as well, is a strong orog clan and so forth. It really depends on the type of characters that show up and the ability of a 'leader' to form their sub-faction.
So, in a sense, we have united with the hope of creating greater division...
And we have members that have their eye on power and glory in Nec'perya, xas.

How much difference are there between 18-20/x2 and 19-20/x2 weapons when requesting custom one with Dream Coins?(Strenght of Massive Crit or Vamp Reg for example) I also saw Low-light vision and Darkvision on the list of things you can request, but do ether of these feats actually work when gained from items?
+5 ab +4 enh special on hit (blind/daze/stun) OR vamp regen OR a stat point OR keen +damage
or just +5 enhancement cause that's 4 powers
either way remember the table
Quote:
All armor class bonuses: +1 to +4 are one power; 5+ are two powers. Damage resistances: 15/- is two powers; 20/- and higher are four powers. Enhancement 5+ is four powers. Abilities cost powers equal to their modifier (ie: Str +2 costs 2 powers). Malign powers don't count towards power limit on an item. Permanent freedom is two powers. Personalization doesn't count towards your power limit on an item. Regeneration is 1 + 1 power per modifier. For example, +1 Regeneration is worth two powers while +3 Regeneration is worth four powers. Specific saving throw bonuses: +1 to +3 are one power; 4+ are two powers. Universal saving throw bonuses: +2 is two powers; 3+ are four powers. Use limitations and temporary powers don't count towards your power limit on an item. Visual effects don't count towards your power limit on an item.
1 handers have 4 slots. which is why the +5ab +4enh is popular. with a dc request items you generally get to break the mythal limit by one.
I thought Attack Bonus and Enhancement Bonus were the same on a weapon and you should only have one or the other...Doh! Have i been making a big Boo Boo for over a decade? LOL
They do not stack per se. Meaning +5 atack and +4 enhance won't give you +9 attack but +5 still.
The reason people use +5 attack and +4 enhancement is because +4 enhancement gives you +4 attack and +4 damage. +5 attack however gives you +1 additional attack and is a crucial one because +5 will go through stoneskin and premonition. However if you leave it with +5 attack only you miss out on the extra damage enhancement gives you.
Yeah as ama said ppl do it because plus five ab and plus four enh is two powers vs four, but counts as plus five for Dr penetration, and you only lose one dmg, which you can make up with a plus dmg enchant, and still have a slot left for whatever.
I'm drawing a blank on what spells give you access to +Spot. I know True Seeing is +10 and Clair/Clair is +10, but what else is there that a cleric can get? I know about spot gear and the feats SF/ESF: Spot, Alertness, just not sure on the spells.

I've been thinking about a concept for a character, but I want to know if it makes IC sense.
Bear with me.
Sun Elven (possibly moon, not 100% here), grew up in Shadowdale among the retired adventurers.
Some paladin levels, lost of divine champion levels...
How out of line would it be to make this character worship Red Knight?
I generally like to make things "out of the ordinary", so no offense to our Winyan Elves, but... in this instance, the Seldarine doesn't interest me nearly as much.
Not all Winyan elfs follow Seldarine. There has been a Councilor who was a paladin of Torm even. Dont see why people would get upset if your char happens to follow another deity than one in the Seldarine.
Out of the norm is fine, if you can make it work. Sometimes out of the norm is the norm. Elfs are rather open bunch, sun elfs usually less than moon elfs though. Wood elfs even worship some forest spirits than Seldarine directly.
