The following notice would be written in under-common.

We, "The Alliance Council", seek to promote the formation of trade alliances within the city of L'obsul.

We invite all drow, orog, duergar, svirfneblin, kobold, goblin, or any other industrious resident of the city of L'obsul to join us in this endeavor.

Our organization was founded, in part, to act as a body where clans, merchant houses, factions, and independents may gather to form alliances of necessity based upon trade and commerce.

We are currently seeking the membership of Artisans, Resource Gathers, Merchants, and anyone with goods and services they wish to barter.

The next meeting is scheduled 5 cycles from the posting of this notice. Henceforth, meetings shall take place every 7 cycles within the Hall of Negotiations.

//[ooc]: Every Wednesday, somewhere between 10-11 PM EST. If a pc has a pressing need to attend a particular meeting, but the player has a schedule conflict, arrangements can be made.

Please, feel free to post any questions you might have concerning this endeaver below this notice.

Barfryn Orlyurden
Representative of "The Alliance Council"

//[OOC]: We are launching a grassroots player based initiative. The goal is to promote roleplay within the UD and spark peoples imaginations...

//[OOC]: Many different approaches have been tried in the past, the most common being the formation of solitary "houses" or "clans" that operate in secrecy but soon find themselves lacking an opposition to scheme and intrigue against. Their story runs dry. Eventually the players, disappointed, move onto other pursuits that they hope will bring the rp they had desired. But they seem to carry a sense of "If only..." about them. Seem familiar?

We are trying a different approach that we hope will build prestige and story lines for our characters and spark the imagination. If we do this well enough, perhaps we will capture the imagination of the staff and get the support we are trying to 'earn'. Failing that, we are at least having a lot of fun with it right now.

Want intrigue and conflict? Come attend a meeting of a 'trade' alliance (we are thinking Wednesdays, though we seem to play every night..) that is comprised of Lolthite priestesses, Vhaeraunites, Orogs, Goblins, and more who have formed a shaky 'trade' alliance with the hope of furthering their own individual ambitions... but, out of necessity, must rely on potentially unreliable allies. What could go wrong? Let us find out together...

A small masked man, wearing white and light blue, glowing lenses to his goggles, a human frame and a staff over his shoulder and buckler on his left arm eyes the posting. He leaves with out a comment then returns from his lab moments later with parchment to pin up to the foot of the posting.

Quote:
Barfryn,

I humbly invite you to my laboratory where you are offered the chance to discuss the alliance in more detail. I will await your response, or knock.

A certain elven being takes note of these notices. Though clad if dark and heavy armor, the helmed figure is likely female. For a few moments, some thought occurs behind her covered face culminating with a slight nod. Eventually she departs into the Deeper Dark.

The notices would be refreshed, the most prominent change being the addition of a time and place.

A Large orog walks up and reads the notice *snorts*. Pens his own message on the notice.

Come Trade, Craft be Useful to the city.

then signs in bold letters: Durzo Glen
