So you are telling me that it's not IC for any character at all whatsoever to not have an issue with undead or demons. Is that what you're saying? Are you saying that EVERY character MUST have issue with demons and undead being summone,d otherwise it's OOC?
It's absurd. You're being absurd.

You didn't answer the question. I'm asking you to clarify your stance.
Summoning demons and undead, yes are kinda concerning things for anyone not being the summoner.

My character is a blue dragon disciple who purposefully held a tournament in a politically neutral ground that hates aggressive violence specifically to protect himself from backlash.
He doesn't care about undead or demons being used in a duel. Sorry. Is that OOC?

Is Amia always this huggy around necromancer and demonic beings as it been tonight?
depends on context.
at tonight's pvp thing specifically you got some known pvp slayers saying they will slay anyone who starts shit/breaks the rules (then that happened), and clearly didn't think summoning an undead was much of a problem, so most people just rolled with it and let the undead/demons hang out because they wanted to participate/spectate and the demons/undead weren't doing anything wrong, as per the tourny rules anyway.
just my 2 cents though. bring it up ic if you want, it's better discussed there. people have reasons.
The problem is, it is very ooc to ignore that some dude spawns the dead or demons. Do people understand that Lawful good, and any good..especially paladins and such...cannot just ignore it "cause ooc" or "some monk peace". What fucked up non evil monks allow this anyway?

No one is saying you "can't" do anything, but ICly on neutral grounds its not seemed favorable even if you're a Paladin / Lawful Good / e.t.c. But your character has to react how he'd normally do even if he's at a Neutral ground.
EDIT:
HoJo's On Amia to push people. See how far people are willing to go towards their alignment / god. It's quite fun to see how character's react when HoJo is in a neutral zone being provocative.
I still call this OOC. You can think what you want, but good and neutral just chilling around demon summoning pale masters is to me beyond reason.
Perhaps I played for to long on POTM. But this is really to me super weird way of viewing things.
Commie, What? Are you the player of one of the characters that ended up in this arguement icly?
And since when did Neutral grounds matter in the fight between evil and good? I presume if people "act as they normally do" They love to see succubi and undead shop in their shops then.

i mean, i have good characters, i just don't go to things like this ic because i know undead and demons will be there.
So treat good people who ignored it appropriately. Their reactions occurred and should be treated so.
Yes.
But the thing is.
I am not sure it was just out of ooc courtesy not starting a fight or an arguement or if it was out of IC "We don't give a frickled pickle about demons and undead, they are decent folks anyway".

Neutral Grounds:
Means neither Evil or Good, no matter what, /should/ fight. It's neutral, so everyone is invited. Your character can do whatever they want, doesn't defeat the purpose of a neutral ground.
Example:
A Paladin went to Salandran Temple to kill a Palemaster if he's a patient there. Your character will be, more than likely, banned / killed / e.t.c by DM ideaif he does that in Salandran's Temple. Because it's completely 100% Neutral, everyone is allowed.

I find that 100% silly. If Malcanthet and The demon prince himself would chill there with Tyr and The Nine Lords of Hell...I mean, that won't happen. Why do the monks in the first place find it okay to spawn chaotic aligned monsters?

Man, start fights all you want. I had plans for things going down, that's why my opening statement at the event included a PvP warnin: "If you kill an opponent ICly and do lethal damage to them and kill them, I will immediately hostile and right click you." I expected fights breaking out. It's just the nature of the setting. Neutral grounds don't guarantee neutrality, it's just nice insurance.

is it spitting in disgust and storming off as so-called do-gooders hang out with undead? sure. is it pulling a sword and fighting the undead guy? sure.
do what you would do. if it's a fight it's a fight.
I have a hard time taking the lack luster reactions to demon spawners as something else than OOC or a very "careless" or even evil standard of the characters on this server.
Clearly I am in the wrong here since most people think this is alright. I haven't played permanently again on Amia for long so mayhaps things are not working how I think they should be. It is nothing personal, I was just not sure how to take this whole ordeal. I had super fun but I just questioned some parts I found a bit off.

Budly.. Let me try and put it this way.
- Unless you see NPC Guards standing around, don't attack on Neutral grounds.
This is a big one, unless the DMs give you permission you can't attack anyone on neutral grounds.
- Some neutral grounds have blind spots, where your character might get away with a hostile action. If your character /would/ act in aggression towards a particular character, then rp it. Do it. That's what your character would do.
Just because it was neutral ground doesn't mean you can't pvp. It's a moral thing, not pvping on neutral grounds. But you're talking about Undead / Palemaster / Demons e.t.c... So what's morality got to do with it? Most evil PCs will attempt to push your character to breaking the mortal understanding of neutrality just to dishonor your character.
And I brought up Salandran Temple because that's a pretty big Neutrality area. The Salandran people are bound by faith (Yes, their god's dogma) to heal / offer aid to everyone. That means Demonic-Necromancers-Palemasters-e.t.c..

i think you should look at this event as a good ic motivation to get people to adhere to higher moral standards.
i think it's 100% ic and you should react ic as you are here, frustrated and questioning why people acted or didn't act.
So neutral points are some kind of OOC zone where you need DM permission to start a fight? Im not quite sure I understand.
I come from a server with much more evil present than here, but where evil also would be smited and tossed into a dungeon upon first sight. "Neutral temple? Well iadul, the garda cares not" and into the dungeon you go. This might be my problem, to adjust. And why I question the whole "ignore the demon" mentality.

You're metagaming guards if you pvp infront of them, knowing they'd stop you or capture you, and you do it anyways because the DMs aren't on to RP them.
And, lol, the Salandran Temple is based off a god named Salandra. She is just like llmater, except a bit different. The servants are bound, by faith, to aid everyone. Unless they're pretty much fighting the Salandran people, by honor / oath / e.t.c they can't refuse aiding anyone. If you got a issue with a God's dogma, talk to the DMs.

Oh I missunderstood. But thats what I said in the other thread where people wanted guards and NPCs not to be blocking RP...Im really getting confused at this server. Wardens are not guards I guess but still.
I just wanted to get an understanding of wtf happended and as ironic as it sounds, I really don't want to have a ooc fight. We keep a decent level of respect here. I just think I would eventually be pretty frustrated if I just keep adding these missunderstandings, being stacked. I have quite the temperament and this community seen it, so has POTM. But im tired of ooc drama. I just got a bit suprised at lack luster reactions to evil doing compared to what im used to.

Why did people not openly act is such a multi-faceted question with countless potentials for responses based on the individual, situation, etc. I really think you could have a good time going to people and learning why they did something.
Some might not have known there were undead, some might've been afraid to act, some might've just been biding their time, etc, etc, etc. It's really endless! You could really springboard off this ICly and interact/learn a lot about the various PCs.

yeah the ooc stuff with guards and npc's was about people doing really really unacceptable things while standing literally on top of guards, along with giving out "reminders" that you can't respond to the actions because it's "metagaming npc's."
and that's not what was happening today, nor was that 'ok.'

To the rest, Im still a bit unused how things work here these days...I guess it needs some adjusting from my side.
Either way its 04:05 AM so I should rush to rest before the sun rises! Good night folks.

Doesnt matter, is the point. It happened IC. People either had their reasons (or did not) and will either suffer for it or explain why they tolerated it at a neutral place where woulda been punished for acting out.
This. I'm fully expecting some sort of fallout with some people when word gets around Rico had a private word with HoJo. Rico does hate Undead, a lot, but there is a very, very important reason he took the time to discuss it with HoJo.
Budly, I understand your OOC concerns, Paladins, goodly Clerics and Druids /should/ have some issue with there being undead at the event, but you do not know if they muttered under their breath how disgusting they are, if they are not reacting to not cause an issue or maybe they're in the midst of some serious alignment-changing RP.
There's also a lot of assumption that a lot of the people at the event were Good. In fact, there was only but a PC or two that I could safely say was good, and even then I know one is NG, so it does not surprise me they were diplomatic in the situation.
All in all:

Yeah I get that. I just found it odd how Budly ended up seemingly fighting for good in this place. Gaining both Good and Lawful points for defending Krins body and helping out with fighting the Necromancer, even if the later gave no points.

I can explain, but you could have easily got this explained IC and if it was Budly's choice not to find out that's fine, but you took all of it OOC, even ingame.
Krin has rubbed many people up the wrong way, even a lot of people at the event codoned his actions at the event, so it's no surprise a lot of people did not aid him when PCs assaulted him.
HoJo abuses neutral ground and goads people in to striking first, giving him moral superiority. You seemed to have a lot of backlash OOC when he was "raised" even though Libris made it very clear it was for him being picked up by Krin, and not him actually being raised.
My overall concern was not how your PC acted IC, but how you acted OOC. The vast amount of PCs there who disagreed with Krin's actions probably found it entertaining to watch. Try separating your OOC and IC self in future, there was 0 need for it to get ugly on an OOC level. If you do not understand why a certain PC who would, for example, claim to be good and fight evil but helps a Necromancer out, instead of exploding OOC about it, either inquire IC or if you feel that interaction is something your PC wouldn't do, just assume on an OOC level there is just RP for the interaction.

Saving evil as good should render you fallen or getting evil points. I find it very awkward that people who are classes who are Paladins and Clerics of good gods are allowing evil to stroll around like this. That is just how I view it. Perhaps there was no paladins or clerics. My only OOC came at the end when I thought people ignored our RP of burning the corpse of HoJo, by just "pulling him out of there". I am not always sure IC is IC but fueled with OOC thoughts and feelings aswell, this is why I tend to question things with a // comment when I find it unfiting.

That's a VERY subjective and limited view on how good should act. I would explain it, but all previous attempts saying the same thing seem to not be getting through to you.
All I'll say is, I'd value saving Evil and converting them to Good would be gaining more "good points" than killing someone.
If you feel that someone's action towards their good god's codes is being broken, inform a DM with a PM. Keep in mind, if a Paladin is rediculously outnumbered or outmatched, they will not lose any "good points" by choosing not to create conflict ESPECIALLY on neutral ground.

I get that, very much so. I just found the neutral monk (lawful beings, Demons, chaotic beings) zone a weird place to see people summon undead, demons and such. As I told you, back on the other server I played on, there would not be much neutral spots like this. I can also lift forward known killer (monks) chilling in Bendir Dale. There is many things I can point on. I can grasp it, I also said I was going to bed and not looking to continue this and get on the bad side of you folks.
EDIT: And also, I find it weird monks allow such brutal fights in their training area where people in the audience died under the matches. Death becomes a trivial thing cause of so many clerics although.

Well, your HoJo is undead, unsaveable to many. Im not sure a Kelevmor Paladin would try to "save your soul". And Budly is Chaotic Good. Better dish out and destroy than try to be the "good'er" person and "make good". I think people to often view good as a dumb, naive force that need to convert and spare evil to save them. Good can be served with justice and brutality aswell. You do not enter The Abyss with treats for the demons.
There is more stories of good falling than redeemed evil, which I find utterly boring. But redeemed evil is so uncomon I say it is almost useless to aim for it in most perspectives. But that is for another discussion.

Unless I missed something (and I've stalked him quite a bit on the forums), I'm pretty sure HoJo is not undead. A Pale Master is not undead, just like a 20 RDD is not a dragon. Also, yes, death is trivial. That, for the most part, is reflected into the setting. Murder is (usually) not a "we will imprison you for life/bounty hunt dead or alive style". Usually, it is a ban from the places that character or his friends has influence in. People have also realised that with HoJo. One of my few interactions with him was when he crashed a party, burnt down a house, and got killed. Wharftown di not let him be soulbound. If anything, I'd say that was OOC, but just killing/not killing him? Doesn't matter. He got rez'd the next day. After getting chopped into pieces. People don't care about death. Why should they? The chances of someone running into your body is pretty high. That's also what makes death important, in a way. If someone really dies, because perma-death, people are sad, rather than just: Oh, another person died to Brog Orcs. RIP him.
Also, if I got context right, it was against the rules to attack other people there. CG might attack a known evil then, but a Pally? Honor says he is allowed to be there and you are not allowed to do anything. I'm not sure what my Pally would hae done, but certainly not attack HoJo there.

That is the thing, when death become trivial, why bother with anything then? Death is one strong catalyst for living beings to fight for survival and evolve and learn tricks. If that means nothing, there is no reason to progress. A friend read in an RP setting once, explaining why humans can overcome so much weird things is cause they fear death and have such short lives that they are forced to push themself further. I presume you can say the same but opposite of elves who can spend a hundred years just mastering the lute. While a human is forced to learn that while he do other things. Death is a tool for development. If people die over and over it become trivial, when they finally die...well how do you explain it?
Also, I read around the forum to many levels in Pale Master and you cannot reverse the effects. You pretty much stop having heart beats and your organs slowly just die.
This conversation is really going out of hand and twisting into something else than just these events. Should we just stop now? Cause we can talk forever. I get it, things work different here.

I didn't realize perma-death was something people wanted of my character. - I hope I haven't caused any individual issues OOCly because I don't want to PK my character, at least not right now.

- Palemaster's aren't Undead, they're as close to Undead as a mortal can get (Without physically achieving it) - Palemaster's can die, easily, either from life span (Old age), or other means. - Palemaster's take on the "power" of Undead, per-say, so they can gain physical boost in their metaphysical being for combat / other advantages for life.

You can't reverse the effect(Edit: With enough levels taken), that is correct. But Pale Masters still are very much alive and will still die due to old age, of hunger or disease. One could argue that they are very close to undeath with a foot inside the door, but they are definitely alive.

- There was Roleplay behind HoJo being raised. - You play a character that is banned from 99% of the server and tell me how "fun" it is. - I'll PK HoJo if you want. I didn't realize perma-death was something people wanted of my character. - I hope I haven't caused any individual issues OOCly because I don't want to PK my character, at least not right now.
I have nothing at all against you! I really hope you do not feel being the one pointed out here! I mostly honestly just point at the overall nonchalance of the undead and demons I noticed. I might be wrong, I haven't been active for super long again.
Perma death is a picky thing, which evil often is the victim of, atleast evil tend to die brutally cause of their actions. But that is not really what I was talking about.

No, I get it. But this conversation has drawn out for quite a few post.
Summary of this conversation would be;
- Do what your character would do. - Don't do something infront of guards that'll stop you. - Go IG, ICly, and start pointing out the faults of characters. (Not players, but their characters). I've done it, many people have. Neutral Ground is neutral, no one is saying you physically "can't" do anything there, unless its in a guarded area and you'd need a DM for it. - Otherwise, have fun!

I can buy it, still find these "neutral areas" bit weird, feels like some MMO mechanic. Need to get used to that.

I mean, you dont need to ICly respect neutral areas. It is just people ICly trying to do it, after all (with respects to guards, etc)

But that fighting zone had not a single guard. Who upholds the neutrality?

nobody, just the pc's.
it was just some shit we said. iirc there is no such thing as a mechanically neutral area.
Huh, I see then.
