The City of Cordor is currently in an uproar after the events of the last eve! A swarm of drow overrun the Southern District, taking children hostages and demanding important people to join them.

Fifteen civilians were confirmed dead during the initial situation once blades and spells started working their way to the opponents.

Within the Long and the Short, the battle continued as fires began to burn the building from within. Numerous people, civilians and adventurers alike, fell to an elaborate array of traps and tricks, and another swarm of drow.

After all was said and done, eighteen civilians confirmed dead and thirty three injured, the night was deemed to be over.

.......Until fourty three civilians were found in Cordor's Sewers...
.................Dead.

Seventeen citizens of the Southern district are still unnaccounted for and have been added to the missing persons posters that are already cluttering the signs and walls of Cordor.

Skikudis Sargtlin, a mid ranking offical among the magthere acadamy of ultrinnan, had seen the devastation at the long and short, had personally seen another soldier, one of his soldiers, in the inn, bound and charged with murder.

The darkness of ultrinnan settled around him as he made way to the acadamy, his full plate straining against the movement of his limbs, anyone who saw him on his quickened path could tell he was very very angry. The door the the acadamy slammed shut as he passed through its entry way. Useing his key to the private chambers in the acadamy, the draada'quarthin quickly penned out a notice to all soldiers within the acadmy, stateing that should the Sargtlin decide to show his face in ultrinnan, he was to be confined to his quarters until further notice.

He sat back on the chair, quickly realise the kind of publicity this was bound to bring on ultrinnan, weither or not the city was actually involved. He slammed his gauntled fist on the table, sendiing papers scattering. He launched himself out of his chair and began to look for Vanguard captain Naelin, and to make his report to commander paz'kol as well as the other nessicary high-ranks in the city.

He didnt know much about the situation, but if someone was trying to frame ultrinnan, by the dark goddess, he would make sure the city was well prepaired for what ever came.

Wiggan walked through the forest, struggling from the 5th trip carrying bags of fruits, vegetables, meats, and basic toiletries she had acquired in the shops of Cordor. In her mind she wondered perhaps she did not get the best prices, either, but somehow felt that buying the supplies from the Northern Outskirts was fitting. She was thankful the Shrine was just around the corner. Everyone had gathered there, ready to go: Valkirya, Aniko, Madison, and Nienna . They went over the plan, which was simple, really, and set out for Cordor South.

...

A stillness of disquietude hung over the air of the City of Cordor that afternoon. One by one each helping hand emerged from the temple doors, assembling in the courtyard. A guard stood warily surveying the group of drow. They'd met Krin too on their trip in, and he was the last to arrive, and another one had joined as well, a young drow girl she did not recognize. The guard seemed that providing an escort was a good idea, and together they headed to the south of the city.

The eyes on them from groups of citizens burned with enmity. Wiggan could feel it. She wondered if perhaps this was such a good idea after all. And as they passed the tavern, burned to the ground, a feeling of dread came over her. She looked to her beloved Sister, as Valkirya too had the same uneasiness in her heart. They pressed on, as the guard led them to the inn, where the homeless and fatherless now were held up temporarily.

Once inside, their fear became backed by good reason. Scowls and whispers echoed through the crowded and cluttered inn. Wiggan could see the hopelessness and anger on their faces. She looked at her group... Who was that strange girl with them? She surveyed her carefully. She didn't have anything on her to indicate that she was even a Moondancer. And where was Nienna? Wiggan turned again, and whispered to Valkirya.

It would not do to go looking about for Nienna now. Not with the eyes of the victims and patrons there expressing such unwelcome sentiment.

"Get yer filthy face outa here!" came a cry from the corner. Their accompanying guard, and the rest of the group too, spun on their heels, but the one who spoke would not be known.

Wiggan stepped forward. Her explanation of why they were there did not go well. "Take yer poisoned meat to yer own people!" One of the victims said. In the end, they managed to get the goods to the supply room. And as they were leaving, a glass bottle, nearly empty of its beer, flew by Valkirya's head and smashed against the wall behind her.

The group hurried out, Wiggan trying to leave behind a sum of money to help with reconstruction, only to be accused of trying to bribe their accompanying guard. Things were deteriorating.

And where was that girl? She had disappeared. Outside Naienna was standing at the corner of the inn, looking sick and very upset. They made their way back north. The many feet could be heard on the cobblestones around the corner. Grumbles of revenge from an angry mob carried on the sultry air.

The guard stepped forward as the crowd of angry rioters turned the corner, placing himself and his sword between them and the drow. Wiggan slipped on her invisibility ring and tapped the shoulders of a few of her companions, new to the Shrine, not wishing them to get hurt in a fight. One rioter rushed forward. The hilt of the guard's sword was swift, knocking him out cleanly.

Imediately Wiggan's incantation of healing rang out over the afternoon wind, and though not really injured, even the lump on the rioter's head faded beneath the overly powerful spell. The rioters seemed to get the point: The guard would see the group to safety.

...

In the Shrine Nienna had related the story of how, just days prior, two drow males had asked for directions to the inn. Nienna had given it to them. She, not knowing their intent, had led them to their victims. How could she know? How heavy does the unwarranted guilt of suffering weigh on those caught up in acts of woe. They had been dressed in bright colors. Perhaps the tactics of Ultrinaan were beginning to evolve - perhaps they were trying to feign loyalty to the Dark Maiden. If it were not for their helms they may have succeeded.

As for the unknown drow girl, she had just simply disappeared.

*Jud can be heard telling of the attack to any who're interested, as he was there and helped stop the Llothites. When asked if any "dominated Eilistraeens", as claimed by the force's leader, were involved, he smirks and shakes his head, telling them that it was a poor attempt at distraction and trying to cause Jud some guilt for the deaths*

Sitting on a throne he had purchased, Gareb flips a coin repeatedly. The attack on Sotherrn Cordor had gotten to him. Though he wasnt sure why the action spurred him directly he knew that a certain pride had come to him as he took the district by storm.

This was his DISTRICT! his town... He stood from his chair and let the coin flicker and bounce.

Having heard ~all~ about the attack from Unulith who apparently 'saved the city', Aloe runs a few checks on Southern Cordor in a disguise as a dark-haired, tanned Elf. She checks most of the bars she's allowed into, and buys each patron a drink.

Then she wandered back to the Grove to think and look after the kids.

Valkirya can be seen on her faerie form flying around South Cordor once in a while, checking on the people, though keeping a distance so they won't get hostile when they see she's half-drow. She approaches the kids especifically, thinking they might be more inclined to accept a dark skinned faerie with snowy-white hair, than the adults.

Sometimes she plays games with them, others, she tells them tales where she carefully speaks of the Dark Maiden and her good followers in metaphors the children can understand.
