We always welcome new recruits, who have any array of skills, to join our cause. All we ask is that you are passionate and loyal. Dawnbringer Dora Mekkemun of Mulhorandi origin (which is obvious by the looks of her) spots the missive while travelling through Cordor. She halts, lays her huge, warm ebon hand upon the poster and sighs to herself. After a while of contemplation, she tacks a folded note to the poster.

"An 'army' almost always does more harm than good, brother or sister. Hope will make them lay their weapons down and discontinue their necromancy.

After a short conversation with Father Redweth she continues on her way out of the city again.

Furthermore to clarify, the term "shadows" is a metaphorical device in this context to describe a condition whereby the person or persons in question are shielded from "light". The "light" of course in this example is Lathanders teachings and values. In the physical world, oftentimes conditions of light are prevalent, then a change occurs that brings the subject into shadow as a precursor to a drift into complete darkness. Such is the same at times with the conditions of ones mentality and spiritual demeanor.

The term "shadows" therefore should not be construed in a literal fashion as describing our efforts to rid the world of a particular form of undeath but rather to combat the creeping slow march into darkness, both physical and spiritual, that arises from a persons drift from the "light" stemming from the embrace of ignorance, greed, malice, cruelty, envy, anger, conceit, jealously and sloth.

We will be planning an active and energetic force for good on the isle in keeping with Lathander's teachings. This quote from the Wiki entry is particularly descriptive:

Dear sister of the light,

It seems alot of people are confused in what we are about. The golden army is not just dedicated to banishing the undead, this is part of our everyday lives. For those who need any clarification I will be here, in the chapel, this coming week (saturday 0100 GMT til 0400 GMT). I did not call for this army to fight the just the undead. I have been given a vision by Lathander and sent to this isle to stop this catastrophe from occuring. To have you on this quest would be a great asset sister. Who knows the evil that we are seeking maybe these Tiamat followers you speak of, but as of yet we are uncertain and are just preparing to "enhance the glow of the morning sun" so to speak.
If you have any queries please meet with me and I will explain all that I can at this point in time.

I submit to the group that further investigation of this "Flight" is in order. Whether or not it represents the coming darkness Dawnbringer Dzumbra has envisioned cannot be determined through inaction. Brothers and sisters,

Due to the confusion with what we are all about I have decided to put the detials of what the army of light is about.

Faction Name: Golden army (Army of light)

Faction Creed/Oath: To enhance the rays of the morning lord, expelling all evil that casts shadows over the land. (NOT JUST UNDEAD)

This army was not started to cause trouble but as a request of Lathander to keep the peace. I was given a vision of the future, and all I saw was death, destruction and darkness. No light, no hope, nothing. This army has been brought about by myself to stop this catastrophe from happening and bring about the Deliverence we all know of.

As always if you are interested please leave a message or contact me in person. I can normally be found in this chapel unless I am out on holy orders.

It will make explaining our gatherings easier to the Cordor Guardsmen if they take an acute interest in us. I would humbly suggest that having our papers of registration handy for situations such as these would be a wise move. This could also give us the chance to reach out to other like-minded organisations.

Terrible News! Most Terrible News!

Today, upon a pilgrimage to the village of Nes'ek in Ankh'Remun, I witness a most horrible event. At the conclusion of my usual dawn devotions, I looked up, expecting to see the first rays of light kiss the horizon, however

THE VERY SUN ITSELF WAS OBSCURED

As soon as the sun refused to rise, the undead of the nearby tomb burst their hold, as the seals on the magical lock that has held them there weakened. The very desert CRAWLS with all manner of undead, vampires, mummies, ghosts and spirits, refusing to rest in their barrows!

Needless to say even the settlement of the fiercome Bedine people has been decimated, the huts and houses set ablaze and ghouls walk the streets in a cruel mockery of their once dynamic settlement.

More frightening is the brazen attack upon the Village of Nes'ek, home to a temple to our Lord Lathander, and protector of the innocents within. The guards were able to repel the first wave of the attack, but I fear there will be more, and in greater numbers very soon.

Most frightening is the Morning Stone itself. My Brothers, IT FADES!

The Preistess estimates that within the tenday, it will have lost all of it's celestial illumination. At this point, she theorises that the final lock on the tomb of Ankh'remun will be blasted asuder and the evil contained within will be free to seek it's revenge upon the people of Nes'ek.

Prophet Dzumbra, is this not the very Darkness that you predicted?

Prophet, with your permission, I call a meeting for a War Council of the Knights of Light Immediately. Please advise a time and location.

As I have taken the responsibility of commander in the field of the Army of Light with the blessings of the Prophet, please see Father Redweth for your sealed packet of orders. These orders shall stand until the Prophet sends word or the war council is convened.

Until then also, spread word to our allies as quickly and effectively as possible - we shall need our Brothers and Sisters in arms, the Knights of the Triad and the Eternal Order before this is over, I can assure you. I would encourage reasoning, common sense and wisdom over pride and strict adherence to unbending rituals and rules since this is the way of the Morning Lord.

Garath then requests of Father Redweth copies to be made in triplicate and dispatched for the confidential and urgent attention of Sharina Fryar, Grand Master of the Ravensword Regiment of the Eternal Order and Sir Yaston Sylgerand the Knight of the Triad. A copy is kept for the Prophet Dzumbra with Father Redweth, with instructions that he deliver it to him immediately upon sight.*

To the People Involved in all of This.

This, being defined as the really big pile of crap and oh crap and more crap currently involving Nesk'h, many millions of undead, some really scary looking liches, an even scarier looking giant-lady, and her attendants, and seemingly every evil organisation on the island.

Fiddlemoxzillious, registered and notarised Barrister at Law, and with permits to read law in Cordor, would like to volunteer his services thus:

In the area of the Accusation, leveled by the Kelemvorites towards several organisations (all of which are unregistered). We would like to assist in witnesses coming forwards with physical proof and eyewitness accounts to verify the statements, and thus condemn the City of Tarkuul in the eyes of the public.

In the area of Law, we would like to participate in the foundation of a Law Court of Amia, whereby such accusations can be properly dealt with, in an atmosphere of rule, order and law, without having to reduce ourselves to slogans and political mish-mash.

In the area of the Undead, kindly take note that Fiddlemoxzillious has no aspirations of becoming one, would like to die at 99, and likes young, attactive females of both halfling and human persuasion, which, in hindsight, does not have much to do with the undead.

Al'Karjanti is seen casting Ultravision, True Seeing, Light and other helpful spells upon all Nesek Defenders until his supply is exhausted.

He then takes up a position on the right side of the Temple doorway in Nesek with two full quivers of arrows and sets his Celestial in a guarding position at his flank. From this position he lets fly arrows of various types including some specially blessed shafts that sometimes blast an undead intruder to bits. He maintains this posture for some length of time before letting loose some destructive divine spellcraft at any remaining intruders before shuffling off in exhaustion back to the Cordor Chapel for some much needed rest and recuperation.

If you wish to see yourself evidence of an evil threat within Toril that takes away, to use your words, 'the dawned warm rays of tomorrow', please forward yourself to the village of Nes'ek in the Ankh'remun desert, accessable through the Mountain Town of Guldorland.

We sincerely welcome your aid with the wounded, but unless we do not raise our blades in defence of this village, the isle of Amia and our faith, I fear that inevitably, there will be more wounded then we could ever have anticipated.

Made guard rounds in the city of Ne'Sek. All was dark and quiet. Seemed to be an incident in the Temple. Several Triadic Knights and others were gathered around an unconscious pair. I came in at the end and could not sort things out. I'm sure one of the Triad will give a report soon.

//I find around Midday Autralian time corresponds well with US nights (9-11pm ish) or late Australian time (11pm) corresponds to US mornings (9am). well to to capture most of our faction base. Remember that they're a day behind us too, so Sunday is the best bet - if we hold it on a Saturday, Australian time, most people in the US would either be studying or working.

I propose a meeting at Sunday 12pm, EST (Sydney Time).
