This is an official warning to those whom it concerns. I doubt many of them read the forums a whole lot, so victims and those without overly trigger-happy PvP attitude, feel free to pass the message along to griefers you spot.

We have many DMs who are rather upset at the trend of RP-less PvP happening daily. Yesterday, there was two cases within 10 minutes, for example. It takes DM time and attention away from the things we'd rather be doing, and it disrupts good roleplay.

There will be harsher penalties for those players who fail to polish their PvP actions. We're talking removals from the game for undefined time, not excluding permanent removal.

Most of those who read the forums have an idea of what "ample roleplay" means, so I won't define it too much here (hint: it's more than just a few lines of threats, unless the parties have agreed to an aggression pact, or there is some other very heavy reason for quick attacking, such as entering a hostile factional area or, say, a known criminal entering a city from which they are banned. DMs may give other reasons for acceptable quick PvP, if necessary).

What you can do to help us, is keep reporting incidents as soon after they happen (if no DM online at the time), so that we know who are doing this.

Thanks.

Speaking of which, I am probably blind, but I couldn't find the thread that Disco made explaining the new PvP system, and where the staff also spoke about the rules.

after threatening to kill someone who was about to go hunting my fellow brokentooth's w/ my gob char, they proceeded to attack the 1st spawn as you enter goblin territory. I then shifted into a minotaur to be more menacing :) and was unable to use the PvP widget. Could I still beat the guy into a pulp?

You can set people to hostile using the Player List, as well, actually, which I generally do instead of using the widget.

What if you are, say, an assassin? and you are paid to kill a certain person, as it is your job.
I mean, of course the employer would have to have a legitimate reason for wanting the person dead, but can you just appear from the shadows and smack them down wich yo pimp hand?

Which reminds me, When someone is murdered etc. by another person, how are they supposed to act when they get re spawned at the temple?
