As soon as Eir spots the Scimitar, he barely contains a squeel of joy. However, as he notices the "trade only" part, he seems to be on the verge of tears, and his shoulders slump as he walks away.

Jack thumbs over the notice while looking through the board, eyes lighting up at the thought of a new Rapier to his collection. The bold letters of "Trade only" quickly drain the slight attempt at joy from his face faster than one could deem possibly. After reading the notice thoroughly he stalks away quite distraught.
