As some of you know, I've always had a love for Cordor, but I've only been on the server for maybe three years now. Although a lot has happened in just my short time there, I know an awful lot also went into making the City of Tolerance, the City of Water, the server's starter area, the Commonwealth, the corrupt place on A, whatever you want to call it, what it is today.
It has been on my mind, and the mind of a couple of other DMs, to maybe one day have a fairly comprehensive (and at least reasonably accurate) historical timeline as it applies to Cordor. So I'm just going to open this up to the playerbase: what do you remember going on in Cordor, affecting it and making it what it is? What is your timeline?
I know that there will be conflicting stories. Of course there will be. The DM Team has changed quite a lot over the years, and even when the DM Team doesn't change, "consistency" is a curious word. In addition, what you recall about an event may not be what someone else recalls about it. You may name it something different. You may have seen more about it than another person. Or you just might have gotten a different interpretation from a different DM.
If a good, genuine historical timeline for Cordor pops out of this, I'd be interested. Major events, minor events, whatever you recall in chronological order. Something usable might come out of it. Something that can be stuck in the Library above, with appropriate attributions.
Anyway, this thread is open to everyone. I'm curious about what comes out of it.
Well, the latest thing I personally remember is some dragon attacking the temple of Waukeen. No clue how that really happened, just portalled there and boom, there were 20 adventurers and the dragon was down asap. Can't remember many specifics or consequences of this event, but I can remember that much.
Happened around 2004 or 2005.
The other event was some flood that wiped the Northern Outskirts, no clue how that happened either. Was just there to save people with my character.
Occured in 2005 IMO.
And as the third, I don't remember how long ago this really happened, but there was some kind of an ooze mass murderer. Cordor was under strict surveillance and every passenger was checked for green eyes, dimly glowing eyes, which they recognized the ooze from. After devouring the victim, the ooze could transform into the one it ate.
Took place in year 2005.
The memories aren't plenty, as I wasn't too active back then. Neither did I have an account on the forums.

Well.... Since I came to the server I remember these happening.
1.) The Horde War: Both Cordor being attacked by the druids and having to be rebuilt into its present incarnation and a series of other events such as the militia recruiting and my paladin having an arguement with the general over letting Adventurers Join.
2.) Vodak: Remember that huge intelligent slime. Yes thats right, Vodak infesting Cordor sewers and creating an air of paranoia in some people, also branched off into other places such as Ultrinnan, and thanks to Krin, Amia woods until contained.
3.) The Drow Banning: Including the butcheries in south Cordor and the llothite Drow actually encouraging the whole thing so that Heretics would have less places to hide. That and since then Cordor has been less and less Tolerant all the time.
4.) The Black Flag: Although the Black Flag had always been there they were driven further underground when they killed several guardsmen and a Kill on sight order was issued for them.
5.) Kestral Enterprises: After some dispute Cordor declared war on Horatio enterprises and burnt or usurped all of Their properties on the isle. After some posturing and abortive strike backs, Kestral Enterprises fades back into Obscurity.
6.) The Expansion of the Guard At some point the guard expanded heavily including the mage guards and their latest edition, the ARM OF THE LAW. This is starting to make Cordor more and more a police state.
7.) The Black Caravan and Calimshite Navy With all the troubles of the Black Caravan going to war with the Eternal Order, Cordor make trade agreements with th Calimshite Navy, extending their docks and building warships for them. And this brings us too....
8.) The Present Day Well you know this.
Also Events which I don't remember, but I know happened in the time just before I came.
Council Dissolved: From what I know, Cordor had a council at one stage and it was dissolved to make away for that Duke we all Know and Love. Monty.
Failed Coup: Sharina and Hunar lead an attempted Coup against the Duke to try and restore the council. But it fails.
The Thayans The Thayans had been tradeing in Amia for a long time, but after they burnt down the Cordor Orphanage, the adventurors of Amia rose up and threw them from the isle. Those that weren't expelled, were cut down. Cordor has hated the Thayans ever since.
EDIT: I can write these up in more detail if you like at a later date. Bit Busy recently.

January 2006, the king of Wyrmhold Drak'law Emberblaze got into an argument with the Weave Knight chief Gagis Silvarna outside Haur's, attacked him with wails and subsequently was killed by Raziel. Drak'law then sent half a dozen Wyrmhold dragons for major carnage. (30+ dead PCs between gates and law pillars)
Didn't create a lot of consequences but I think everyone had fun and Wyrmhold attacking Cordor has some inherent notability.
Sometime in 2005, the Black Flag made its first public appearance by setting fire to the old Council Building and running through the streets with molotov c0cktails, shouting "Black Flag! Black Flag!"
I do remember a rather big flood before the earthquake and rebuilt. The whole outskirts were under water and people PC and NPC had to be evacuated.
My forum "age" is lying. I played Amia quite a while already before I decided to register in the forum... for some reason I didn't like forums back then... no clue why <.< I think I finally convinced myself to make an account when I had a request
Joined: 26 May 2006 Location: Down Under, calculating your demise with blunt expressions.
-The construction of Jack's pillar (it was a wonderous event for me!) after the completion of Architect Treborius' work.
-The great Plague that struck Cordor. (easily 2005 when it happened) After the plague was eradicted, the plague shelter became an orphanage.
-The original Temple in Cordor was the Temple of Torm under Haulfest. He left early 2006 and was replaced by Tristana of Waukeen just before the great earthquake. Haulfest used to charge gp for healing before the fountains were added.
-The Thayvian massacre (when the Thayvian system swapped to the MCS. I can't remember if that was 2006 or 2007)
-Damien Clauth's bombing of South Cordor (December 2006/January 2007)
-The opening of the Weary Wanderer (2006 after Cordor's reconstruction) followed by the closing and the re-opening of the Nomad (late 2007).
-The great tavern Raid early 2007. The Cordor Guard present (Phenwick La'mont, Jack Galenson, Zeritul Windleaf and NPCs Phillip Geyers with help from Kald and Trent Blake) stormed the Weary Wanderer and arrested the entire Black Flag organisation and their former boss Gareb Vasante for torturing a Cordor Guard. Though she wasn't present at the time, former guard captain Gillaria Avares got all the credit at the award ceremony that happened several hours after.
-The attack on Cordor's northern outskirts by the Horde early 2006. This happened before the big attack on the Shrine of Eilistraee. (I only remember that day coz I got killed in the friendly fire several times)
-The conversion of Gabilgathol's brewery from an Inn to a beer garden late 2007/early 2008.
But I can't think of anything now that's a real impact on the city save the most present day. >.<
Bombing of the City Hall Although I don't remember a culprit ever caught, or what was taken being announced. Fall 2008.
Tavern Kidnappings A new brew was tried out in the Nomad, and any who drank it fell unconcious, soon kidnapped by pirate slavers! A heroic effort from younger folk who'd been taken to save everyone including an elderly man and a pregnant woman. All Cordor saw though was a sea vessle roaring into the docks for a head-on collision to Cordor Central near the Moribund ferry. Late Fall 2008
Mutants in the Sewers A few bodies floated up into the city burned and mauled [which had been attracting carrion birds and a few seagulls]. The guard blocked off the sewers when a child's body surfaced and returned to the mother. Weston Carter, Vesad Realur, and Rras Rrari went into the sewers by permission to see what could be found. That expidition cleared out most of the mutants as best could be told; at least one that escaped to live but never returned. Early Winter 2008
[[The times are a very rough guess as I don't have notes anywhere that give me a timeline idea. But I know that would be in order of events.]]

I'd be interested to see what versions of the drow tower story still float around.
It was where Cordor is now. They built it to serve as a base of operations to fight the elven settlements on Amia (apparently elves were the primary inhabitants at some point). They went to attack the elves somewhere, only to find them gone, and meanwhile a bunch of bladesingers attacked the tower and tore it down. It collapsed into the ground, and Udos Dro'Xun was built on the spot, Cordor right above it. That's pretty much the version I heard IC years ago. My memory might be failing me.

Are we talking just the history of Amian Cordor or do we wanna go back to pre-Amian Arileth Cordor Yossarin?
Yes, I'm interested even in what people may remember from pre-Amia Arelith.

And yeah, chronological order of events (as best as can be remembered) is all I'm really interested in. The distance of time between them is largely irrelevant, since time (backwards and forwards) moves at the speed of plot.
The Horde war was an on-going thing, which finally came right up to the gates of Cordor. The undead army of the Axis Empire defended the areas north of Cordor, and on one occasion the Emperor (or at least his spokesman) visited Cordor itself. I may even have a screenshot of that.
The expulsion of the Thayvians after the burning of the orphanage. I remember Alanna being involved in this one. I think she, Chi, Torin & Vyashir were ennobled either as a result of this or shortly after.
The destruction of Cordor by earthquake, when the entire city collapsed into a pit at the same time that it was attacked from the north by a horde (not a Horde, though, I dont think ) of lycans. I believe several gods were involved. I'm going through my log now to reconstruct the events. Afterward, Xavi (~8th level at the time, I think) went with Yoss & several others to Sigil after paying Tristana to open a portal from the temple of Waukeen. There, Yoss acquired a Lyre of Building (I think it was) which he played for two days straight to reconstruct the city.
I remember another attack from the sea, with a foreign navy (or pirates?) bombarding the city. I dont remember if it was part of the same event as the earthquake or if it led up to it, but I recall Jiharu being there as well as most of the epics at the time.
Drow snatching people out of south Cordor for sacrifices. When this happened to Xavi's wife for the second or third time she finally petitioned the Duke to ban Lolthites. She later proposes a ban of the Banites (a petition was later launched by Sated Elkhart), but it was never enacted.
---------------
Here's some of the destruction of Cordor:
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] as if by whim alone, no simple bustling and blowing and darkening of the sky, the clouds over the city of cordor go from clear to black in mere momments, heavy, angry thunder heads which belch lighting like great daggers, heavy sleet and snow begining to fall upon
*ice storms hit Cordor square*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] the sea's seem to respond to the carress of the storms, glowing green briefly as lighting strikes the water, causing the normally clear waters to turn black as pitch, great waves crashing upon the shores, screaming winds causing them to howl*
*Xavi & her later-to-be-wife Lina woke up to find the Nomad shaking and people crying to get outside. Earthquakes shook the ground repeatedly. They ran downstairs. Huge black clouds filled the sky quickly and ice fell.*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] as if a great lidded eye opened in the sky, at the center of the storm the clouds part, revealing a moon shaded as red as blood. Around the countryside, the woods, near cordor even, a howling more brutal and gruttural then any known by man goes up*
*Then a great big eye opened in the clouds and a howling came from outside the city. People ran inside shouting that werewolves were attacking.*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] as the wolves close around the towns the commoners are herded into their respective leaders places of dwelling, guarded firmly against the creatures of the night*
*Alanna, Torin, Mariha, Mynna, Valafein and others defend against the attack from the north.*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] the city of cordor locks and bars its gate, it'd be hopeful that anyone trapped outside knew magic, because the guards are only firing upon anyone who's trying to brreak in, unsure if they are wolf or man*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] Salandrians begin to filter into the city under guise of greater sanctuary, bringing the injured into the city where they will be safe, treating infected bites*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] The werewolves continue their savage assault. oddly, whenever anyone enters a city proper they cease, making no attempt to pursue
*Xavi holds Lina tightly, watching the (now normal) clouds spill rain and hail on the city, listening to the sounds of battle outside*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] resistance still seeming to exist within pockets, stranger, lumpen shapes rise from the werewolves ranks. Wolf ogre's, a rare form of werewolf infected with lycanthropy, their huge claws rending the flesh of those of those who resist and stand to face them overlong*
*The city has been severely damaged, with corpses and collapsed buildings here and there*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] the final pockets of resistance eventually fall back or are forced from the outskirts of cordor, even as the city continues to rumble, the ground looking almost unstable at this point as the sea level, though still wild and storming, seems to slowly be lowering.*
*the ground continues to shake from time to time*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] the lycans and their beastial alies, however, seem to not be -trying- to break the wall, though token boulders and arrows are hurled and shot respectivly, no attempts to break it, tunnel under it or climb over it are made, prehapse the guardsmen crossbows are discouraging them, though this seems dislikely*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] as one, they begin to chant, a horrid grutual voiced littany. Repeating over and over the names of the god of rage, of Malar, of Talos and Umberelee..and oddly, the name "Nyantherlotep' is added to this rhyme, when its mentioned they seem to foam at the mouth, their red eyes glowing all the deeper*
DM Straz : [Shout] Pieces of stone and facade fall from the buildings of Cordor as violent tremors shake the city. Those in the streets need to constantly duck for cover amid the chaos.
Deneir : [Shout] The front half of the Clothing Shoppe sinks into the earth without comment, but accompanied by a rather henious cruching sound one can only hope wasn't the inhabitants.
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] There is...what could be called a scream, in another land. A sort of heavy unbearable noise of stone upon stone cracking and breaking, the streets, so damaged from the magical battles of the thays, were and tear of everyday life, the sewers below and caves below them, shudder once, then shatter like glass, breaking into themselves, and again, and again
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] And with no more dramaticisim then that, cordor folds in twain, the city near sliding sideways as stone, building and man alike plummet into the abyss below.
*Xavi and Lina are trapped in tunnels below the ruined city. They hook up with some other civilians (PCs & NPCs) and run into Griff Arnemen, who has been captured by a Derro clan known as the Hugefeet. They manage to free him and with his help and the guidance of a goblin named Emisewsa Emamgea to eventually fight their way out of the tunnels.*
Yossarin: ....and I knew this was coming, but what could I do about it? The kobold tried to warn everyone. All of the signs were there. The old drow city. The dark water...
Hil'rash: What a pity! I lost so much money today! We had a large variety of items for those of a more arcane persuasion until the roof came down. Blasted earthquakes! I managed to salvage some baubles from the wreckage... care to take a look?
Yossarin: *Wanders around in a terrible daze*
Yossarin: I just don't know what to do. There's no word of the Duke and Duchess. Cordor is in shambles. Trade is halted. The lines of communication are as broken as the city.
Ana'Rahma Fuma'Vhid: I suppose you'll have to suck it up , look for them, and reestablish trade?
Valas: And this is only the beginning...
Xaviera Xuider Xee: what's that, Valas? what do you mean?
Yossarin: He means that this is an open door for a "horde" of other problems.
Yossarin: Cordor has been the sole trade outlet for the combined Amian and Republican forces. In fact, its been a major supplier of goods all across the island. But now, we're going to have to rely upon other locations. Like Forrstakkr and their Trade Fedeartion.
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] throughout the day many people come from the caves, some head's hung in shame, others with triumph.*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] As the sun sets the Duke, flanked by his law knights, escrots the many children and elderly who had fallen through the pit.*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout] He moves to the ruins of his palace, and stands atop them after surveying the devestation, bringing his staff to his neck. his voice is amplified so it can be heard throughout the city, a rich baritoine many bards would kill to possess*
(DM)Dee Emm : [Shout]"My people!" he cries,"What we have felt this day none should ever feel. Though we thankfully suffered few casulties, EVEN ONE! is to much! I cannot, no, will not! abide by such a travesty, And I blame only myself. Yes, I, Motgomory d'Cordor, am to blame for this, for I entrusted to much to luck, I did not heed warning signs, I did not think as I should when terror came to us. But we are blessed with heros. Men and women, monster and man, commoner and adventure alike! They must be praised for their selfessness in this averisty! But I am only a single man. And I must thank many, a task which seems almost as impossible as this horror that has befallen us But good people, my friends, rest assured this will not occur again! never agail will Cordor fall! never again will you come so close to tragedy! I will rebuild our city as a pearl,a jewel among any. And I will not do it in 100, nor 10, nor even a year. Nor even a week! By week ends, my friend, I will rebuild this city greater then it ever was! If even my life must be given, I shall give it! And all of you who trudged through mud and darkness, all of you whom risked all for the meek, you will be honored! and remembered!" He pauses a momment, taking a breath."Remembered till the end of time if I have anything to say of it! Rest as well as you are able. Keep yourselves safe...and at weeks end, if any magic I do possess it willbe turned unto this city in its fullest extent!" *With that, he hangs his head lowly, retreating into the ruins of his office, guards moving around the building. The office magically locks itself, and all seems to go calm again*
Yossarin: The Duke and Duchess - or at least the Duke, by my information - is safe. 200 citizens were lost.
Mariha Feral: SO I see... I was injured in the fighting and just came too outside of town. I guess the lycantrhopes were driven off or retreated, but... this is terrible.
Yossarin: It is. I only wish I had had the foresight to prevent it, knowing what I did about its potential to occur. But I cannot change that. What's done is done. Soon, I shall travel in search of a certain instrument I know that can help the Duke bring this city back to life in the week that he wants it to... *Taps a ruby red fingernail against a black chin* I may have to travel as far as Sigil to get my hands on it.
Yossarin: One of the more ancient of the arcane instruments, crafted by a cantomancer, like myself, ages and ages ago. An instrument used by the best among bards to bulwark their bastions against armadas, and to help rebuild them in mere days after a disastrous attack. Some of the greatest and longest lasting civilizations boasted claim to the instrument. Perhaps it might help explain why so many ancient Netherese cities sruvived as long as they did in a vioelnt world.
Mariha Feral: sounds like that'd be a very useful device, right about now
Yossarin: Which is exactly why I am going to find it. I may be one of the few in Amia with the talent to wield it.

Everyone already said most of the things I saw like the Orphanage being burned down by the Red Wizards and such. I guess the only real thing that I can add that sticks out to me but that probably wasn't thaaaat big of a deal and probably won't deserve being in the time line is this:
Some time in November, I believe it was, a few PC's in the Nomad were kidnapped by Pirates who had built trap doors into the floors of the Inn. It resulted with them waking up in a ship that was a no magic zone. To make a long story short, they took down their captors and the ship caught fire. They were able to steer their way toward Cordor but because it was foggy, they didn't see the city until it was too late and they slammed into Cordor Central and came real short of slamming right into the orphanage. Cordor Central was closed down for a while as a Dwarven crew repaired the bridge and cleared the debris.
Of the people on board, that I can remember, there was: Tu'jol (Me), Addie (Hatred), Jasmyne (Bumblebee) and Emily (Zeal).
There was some sort of shield or something under the island in Cordor square that protected the city against lightning, or Talos, or some such. At one point, the pavement in the center of the square was blown open and the item revealed. Some people went down into the sewers/tunnels and fixed it up. I was on the surface in the square but not part of what happened below, so not really sure.

Here is a few things I remember happening in Cordor.
1) Ais the lich terrorizing Cordor with his various antics and creatures.
2) The Horde wars
3) Attack of clockwork golems from a forgotten source
4) The Red Wizard banishment/riots after they burned down the orphanage.
5) The destruction and rebuilding of Cordor after the city came under severe assault from the disciples of Malar.
6) A mysterious drow vampire terrorizes the night soon after reconstruction
7) The ooze Vodak threatens Cordor through the city's sewer infrastructure
8.) Kestrel Enterprises and the Roddyist Riots bring chaos to the slums of Cordor (Damien Clauth bombing etc.)
9) The Flight of Wrymhold casts a shadow over Cordor (Not sure if Cordor was involved at all. I didn't get a chance to become involved with the plot)
10) After increasing pressure from the city's rampant crime problem, the Cordorian Guard stages a coup to take over Cordor's government. The Provisional Council is formed. Duke Montgomery is placed on public trial until his untimely death during a Cordor prison bombing.
11) The Calimshan Armada arrives off the shores of Cordor after escalating problems due to the arrival of the Black Caravan

Are we leaving out the Portal Rod change? Thats basic infrastructure right there being massively altered.
Oh, in Cordor Market hall, the main NPC vendor [wow, I forgot the name!] was arrested for failure to pay taxed up to a half-million I believe.
Corruption in the Guard.
Greymist [I think??] was a guard found guilty of undead summoning or necromatic use, and agressive assaults of citizens or adventurers after causing the fights himself. Not sure on this stuff at all.
Arm of Law has shown up. No idea the plot with that though, just was suddenly.
==
I was OOCly told about Milly the Papergirl once being accused of being a demon. [[way before my time]]
-=-=-
Well, just trying to add anything I can remember mostly since it can help jog memories. I think all major events I'd know of are covered now.

This one was a Horde event, if memory serves. I remember being there, but I don't remember what exactly happened. >.<

People behind the revolution:
Gagis Silvarna, Cordor Guard Hunar Iroff, Cordor Guard Thilidar Villder, Cordor Guard Helinä, Cordor Guard Dippel, the legendary shifter Uberuce, bard of the Tower of Mystra Earylduil Zyustrain, Former Cordor Guard, Druid of the Grove The Druids of the Grove The Shadowflames The Defenders of Kohlingen The Town of Bendir Dale (Yes, quite a few of us)
Members of the new council:
Gagis Silvarna, representing Cordor and the Guard Earylduil Zyustrain, representing the Grove Someone from Shadowflames Sharina Milla Fryar, representing Kohlingen Someone from Bendir Dale Additions after the main revolution
Goal: To create an effective, fast and corruption free leadership to Cordor
Details: The Guard and the council will be separate. The guards can jail and fine but not judge any further whereas the council can judge and set laws but not jail nor enforce otherwise. The councillors are under all of the laws they set for all and also the laws they hopefully set for their own work.
council will not elect the guard captain or otherwise interfere with his work. A new captain is elected by the guards themselves if the former one retires or is voted out with the majority of 3/4.
The council is formed to have one representative of all important factions active in Cordor. One councillor can only hold one seat and successors are chosen by the factions at question. No faction hostile to Cordor or too far from Cordor's influence may have a seat.
The council must asseble at a given day every week and holds enough power to make decisions if 2/3 of the councillors are present. A councillor can be voted out if all of the other councillors agree on the vote.
The council sets the laws and is responsible for developing the city. (we might need a dev char like Bustier to IC:ly represent merchants in council but most of all OOC:ly discuss possible changes to module.)
The number of councillors will probably be much higher later on but currently only the most reliable people have been contacted and allied with.
Thanks to the Mythal the revolution will be held with no bloodshed. The Duke has broken no law nor is evil and thus he will only be taken down from the work he has proven to be incompetent in.

Reading these old stories about the Duke, I think it's quite funny that some people wanted him back into power, considering how eager some of the same people were to depose him in the first place.
While it's hard to get an unbiased IC description of the past, from an OOC standpoint I'm glad the old bastard is dead.
I also remember about 500 bombings. I doubt there's any building in Cordor that hasn't been victim of terrorism.
I don't think The Nomad was ever bombed. It just collapsed in the quakes.
Well, I know the Library was bombed, and the Temple (multiple times, I think). The Nomad had a irate dragon inside once, I guess that counts as terrorism.
Ooh, there was once a Spelljammer event! I remember it striking Winya, but I'm not sure if it was in Cordor too. Needle-like spaceships with kobolds flying them, or am I completely wrong?
Spelljammer is cool!

My memory comes and go's but reading this has brought back some great times. The flood that was pre amia earthquake, caused by Ray Rodgers and I have forgotton the other characters name.
Basically after some amount of bullying goblins at low levels, a damn was built it gradually caused a rise in the water levels. Ray and his friend came across the damn and decided it would be great fun to tear it down.
The result was a flood of the northern outskirts, and both PC's almost drowned. The friend of Ray Turned himself in and everyone was distracted by the earthquake.

The thay,
When removed from cordor and various corpses littered the ground (pre earthquake) I remember a kobold cult of some sort which was worshipers of Vodak(ancient god of death and decay from times they walked amoung us) Trying to cause his return along with the other 2 gods(who's name I forget, one is related to crown of thorns however. They where refered to in the plot as the 3 gods of death).
The Kyuss worms when placed in a thayan corpse would create a demi lich. These kobolds where also believed to be linked to the ogre/lycan attacks on the winyan shrine.
Around 2005, there where numerous attacks in cordor by underdark critters. Massive swarms of them coming from over the walls behind the torm temple.
There is also alot more cramed in my head but after 8 hours traveling I cannot think . Cordor has had so many half arsed plots that never came to anything, I am not too sure how much you really want to know. The seven deadly sin items that scarlet possess spring to mind.
Cyric slew Bane then Bhaal, Kelemvor tried to slay Myrkul, both occuring during The Time of Troubles.
Myrkul possessed "The Crown of Thornes" and fled. Bane returned through one of his offsprings bodies. Bhaal wasn't so lucky, as all of his offspring killed one another. Myrkul is still floating around as the Crown of Thornes, any wearer of it slowly becomes a Lich, gaining Lich-like qualities.
