"Thanks Darthion you ol' bean, that Tormite squirmed a bit but I showed him."

It had secret rooms in the back which weren't public access either. ask Frey about it, he'll tell you the stories.

the first major plotline i was involved in was the Drow poisoning of Cordor.
Jhaou was working undercover for the Guard, allowing herself to be taken as
a slave, only to sneak out later with a sample of the poison. Metalien senior
was her 'handler' and even he was a young man back then.. Good times ^^

My historical timelines are boring because I'm too lazy to give an outline, and my mind is fuzzy on some details. But offhand it's roughly

Cordor Founded, Run by Duke-Dudes -> Montgomery takes control -> Cordor makes mutual agreements with AXIS regarding mercantile deals -> Duke is found to be evil clone, slain, First Council put up -> Adventuring Guard established with the original Councillors at the head along with rowan Peters ->Cordor strains under the weight of devils as Councilwoman Jiharu struggles with the Keepers, and saves Cordor by dooming Zanshibon -> A trio of large scale 'revolts' occur largely one after another, all attempts by the revolters to implant themselves into the government and replace the Council -> Amidst the final revolt, the real Duke returns and take his place, abolishing the Council by executive command and returning to rule -> "Cordor is Boring For A Long Time Government wise" -> Minor revolt attempt to assassinate the Duke -> Thayan Crisis/'Orphanage Incident' -> Mystra's Tower sets up in Cordor -> Alleged attempt but Cults of the Furies sends Cordor careening into the Underdark -> Rebuilding finished by Montgomery and Yossarin -> Cordor expands to become "The Jewel of Amia" -> Cordor sits by fairly safely as Wyrmhold Prophecy plays out, no real change to political climate or city climate -> Cordor/Wharftown tensions flare briefly as Cordor takes control of Wharftown for about a month in the wake of nobility and political struggles. Cordor leaves amicably and the Duke profusely apologizes for the intrusion. -> Cordor enjoys a period of peace and quiet -> Struggles with the Black Flag flare up here and there -> Shutdown of several shady clubs in Cordor, including the Gentleman's Club, the Merchant's Social Club, and the Chamberpot -> Cordor's leading advisors band together to form the Third Council and charge the Duke on corruption charges, leading to his resignation from the office -> Cordorian Commonwealth established -> Large scale political reform -> Terrorists Mynna and Yurioji attack the prison, slaying the Duke and esteemed Adventuring Guard Diane Verrault among countless other innocents in the process -> Talosian cults and storms attack Cordor, prompting Councilman Reyes to personally defend the city with the Weathershroud -> Rebuilding and revision of Cordor's Northern Outskirts -> Today.

Nope, it was quite literally a Horde of orcs, elementals and other monsters run by Sinqnew to conquer the world like Hordes do.

I never really followed it much because back then I never logged in the correct timezone for it. Only took part in it three times when the Horde attacked Cordor, the Shrine and when Sinqnew was bored and decided to spawn a Horde ambush in the Mylock ruins for the party I was in. I think there was something like a triple alliance between Cordor, the Axis and Neverwinter to fight the Horde... but that was a long time ago. Before new Cordor definately.

No, the horde at one time, was a collection of monster that got fed up with over hunting of there homes by PC's. Originally they joined together to show the other races what it was like/stop it, but some where along the lines the cause became pervesed by a demon or a lich(?). The result was mass attacks on all the home cities of PC races. From Human, to elf to dwarf to drow.

Then the same thing happened again at some point, and a demon called general thornious took over leading the horde. This time the races allied to create a rival army, and battle insued again between the horde and the allied forces. Other stuff happened, Cordor got attacked a number of times, Thornious was eventually defeated, and the horde crumpled apart eventually.

During the end of the second horde war Cordor was sacked and had to be rebuilt I believe.

I was off and on during that entire event.
