I was looking through ye old'e DMG for prices of things (previous topic, yoss im still working on it  ) and I just noticed that in pen paper its not RDD, its whatever colour/metal you feel like DD, now say if a person made an RDD could they choose (with DC's or something) something other than red? personally I like the sound of the blue and green variety, line of lightning, cone of corrosive acid respectively, has this been done before? is it mechanically possible to make the nessecary adaptions?
this isn't a request I am just rather interested in why NWN only has red, red dragons suck imo, black dragons now thats what im talking about  I think metals may overpower the balance factor as a PC

Good news, this is already implemented!
The capability came out with 1.69 and now you CAN choose from a wide variety of dragons from Copper to Shadow. I am not sure of the specifics on HOW you utilize the different dragons but I am sure someone will post soon that does.

Simpyl ask a DM in game, and we can set you to your desired color provided the RP is there for you actually being that color.

hm, well if i went DD with my current PC it would have to be lightning to fit the rp so far, thats very awesome that its doable, there are alot of classes that just wouldnt work from PnP

question, is it from the first lvl of RDD on, or do we have to wait and ask at lvl 10?

im going to guess that if I wanted to do a rust or battle dragon kin I would just go down whatever route is similar to that? or would I just have to go down the red dragon disciple road?

They each have their own Breath Weapon which comes at Level 3 so bugging the DMs for anything before 3 is kind of pointless. I am curious what would happen if someone got their traits at level 1, though, would they get the correct Breath Weapon and Wings automatically at 3 and 9?

No you bug us at lvl 1 RDD and then you don't ever need to again.
