I will totally remember this. tehe, well said.

Oh and yes, either option is a mechanical block, one just requires another style of kindergarten rule ;)

Put the arena into a different area. Fights in the cellar, perhaps?

No-PvP generally stinks though.

You misunderstand me. The fact that players make me spend my time on this annoys me enough to go for the simplest solution possible, especially if that solution includes instant death.

I like that solution, though.
Metagame the guards, and the guards own you.

And yes, there shouldn't need to be dev time wasted on that, but there is always someone who will be testing the boundaries (which is a nuisance).

Awe you only say that cause your the romantic who loves the idea of capital punishment for simply getting into a fist fight ;)

Correction:

Guard: "Killing a pedestrian in the middle of Wiltun!?"
Guard2: "Death penalty I say"
Person: "But we were just kidding around-"
Guard: "Ahh... you mean like... you killed this person, and that's what you call 'kidding around'?"
Person: "Umm.... yes?"
Guard: "*looks at character sheet* Look! He isn't even CE!?"
Guard2: "Off with his head!"

Oh, I understand exactly why Disco's system is there, and ideally we wouldn't need it. But it does its job, it functions. I'll survive.

First I have to say lol, that was a great come-back :)

I know why it's there too...so suggested some, well 'more realistic, yet requires some time' sort of things, but yes in the end it is pvp baby-sitting the kindergartners who ignore the guards of the playground.

I'll survive, if I don't assault a pedestrain that is... ;)

I had no idea this script even existed. Amazing what problems come pre-solved by not being a twunt.

The only reason I know about it is because someone decided they wanted to show us and get themselves killed by it for a laugh.

My suspicions were confirmed as I was reading over this thread, but I noticed the lack of pvp in Wiltun and knew something was up, there's far too many 'twunts' about...I suppose I find myself agreeing now, the 'problem' is an ooc one mostly, so it got a quick mostly ooc solution, I suppose that's the bottom line.

"Off with the metagammers' heads!"

A lesson for life there, methinks.....

If only some didn't people so steadfastly refuse to learn it.

Twunt...

I like it. Great way of getting around the censorship of twat and cunt without losing the spirit of either.

It's amazing how many swear words have been coined (like feck and feth) for the sole purpose of getting around filters.

But Ruce is right - unless you're doing something stupid that you shouldn't be doing it won't affect you at all unless you're being attacked by someone who is, then you get to laugh your head off).

True, but it makes "laughing your head off" a bit weird, considering the fact that your head probably is already "off".

Feth is actually a 'curse' from Dan Abnett's Gaunt's Ghosts series of Warhammer 40,000 novels. Feck wasn't coined for beating filters, either.

Twunt, however, is a masterful amalgamation.

Filters and other censoring of swear words. A lot of novels don't use actual cusses because it is frowned upon.
