On the face of the rocky cliff before the enterance to the Lemur Monastery there appears to be a message charred into the very stone, as if someone had etched the lettering with some ray of searing energy. The aura left by it would not be of a noticably good or evil persuation though...
It Reads (In Roman-esque Lettering):
Horsemen.
Vacate.
Now.
(An 8-pointed star below the words)

The cursed prismatic dragon, a resident of Lemur Monastery, was wary of the signs as soon as they appeared.
With every passing day, he renewed and intensified his training, ready to a battle if it ever came to that.

'Ludius speaks aloud'
Wow how rude the common folk are becoming. Asking us to leave our own land?
He is either a fool or a thug.
'Ludius burns a little smear of lettering underneath'
"We shall not. And if you value your life comply with us"

Ky who occasionally climb the crags spots this poor rock. Tilting her head slightly in mind curiosity as she read the words out loud before she raises her left hand. A quick shuddering of spellcomponents later and some finger wiggling later the following can be read underneath the existing messages:
Bubbles was here!
She then takes a step back snickering at her own handywork before continuing on.
The words are glowing in what can be identified as pink faeriefire, the faeriefire would fade after a few days or with a mordenkiens disjunction but the words themselves are just as charred into the stone as the other letters.

A sign is driven into the ground by a bulky but hunched robed figure with only the power of a gloved-fist-strike. It is seen then wandering away t'wards the south after placing it in front of the cliff where the 'art' had been left, upon it says, into the carved petrified-wooden sign, strange tri-toed marks visible in the thick mud.
The Ponyboys lick the filth from Bane's boots like mum's pudding after every meal. I'd watch my young son's and keep me dresses tied up off the laundry outside, they're wone to lift them both for their perverse fancies!
-A dragon's head wreathed in flame, not unlike a signet-seal is also impressed upon where one would assume a signature to be.

There would come a series of loud crackling noises from the over this hills. Anyone who would thereafter visit the same cliffside would find all the previous inscriptions, including the original one removed, or rather clawed out of the rock with bare hands. Bare human hands.
One more inscription is burned into the now jagged stone surface:
Your End Is Near, Horsemen.
Death Awaits You.
I Await You.
(This time, the same 8-pointed star is left, but it glows with a continuous indigo radience...)

Barty upon seeing this adds a disclaimer.
"Dear Horse folk.
The views of this fellow with a penchant for scribbling are not held by the entirety of the crouching lemur citizenry
Regards
Ol'Bart"

*Another new parchment has been stuck to the stone with the message*
"The 'Horsemen' lack sufficient meaty cowbells hanging between their non-horse mounted thighs.
As such, the Skull Crags has nothing to worry about as far as concerns the 'Horsemens' claimed presence.
At the same time, should the 'Horsemen' without the horses evidently grow a pair, the Lemur itself wouldn't have anything noteworthy to put up against them.
Rather stale."

Belladonna on one of her trips through tose snowy peaks reads the notices and sighs, she grips her handaxes tighter as she peers through the sight obscuring veil of snow. SHe can feel the trouble brewing but goes about her patrols as normal.

*Hafur arrives to the Lemure monastery to discuss the various monk orders and philosphies with Panthalo and sees the notes.*
Horsemen!? *laughs* The gods must've smoked some funny herbs when they created them. *laughs* We'll just place some snakes arround the monastery to drive them off *laughs* Will I need a saddle if I want to ride one? *falls to the ground laughing*

In one of his usual visits to the monastery, Sammael, intending to have some nice talking with his monk pals, notices all the inscriptions at the stone and comments, drunk as always:
"What the *HIC*! These people is thinking it's a damn tavern's wall? They should stop *HIC* all this warning, begin some killing and let the monastery in peace! Well, back to the ale now... *long sip*"

Thunder. Trumpeting sounds. A cacaphony of thunder and blasting of a horn are heard echoing throughout the Monastery grounds and evirons.
A fearsome, if not deafening, bellow of war could be heard a few moments after to anyone within the viscinity of the Skull Crags.
"COWARDS!!!!!!!!!!"
Everything that was not inscribed into the rock seems to have been blown away, ripped down, or oddly turned to charred ash and soot.
The Star insignia glows brighter. . .

Xuemei passes the rock and stops, then peers at it.
"Who the hell would write on a rock?"
Then she shrugs and with a wicked grin sets a hand upon the rock and forms her own message deep within it's facade...
"Whoever loves, go to hell. I want to break Sune's ribs with a club and deform her hips. If she can break my tender heart why can't I hit her over the head?"
She then runs away before she's noticed.

The attempt at a poem is clawed out of the rock in much the same way the other inscriptions were. Bloodsmears abound around the rock now...

Amidst all the threatening, the monks of the Crouching Lemur continue their lives. Life is a hardship, a mountain to be climbed and an obstacle to be conquered. This is merely one more danger on the path. To stay the course and remain calm and centered through conflict is the way to find inner peace. Move not to or from conflict, but carefully traverse it as it comes your way.

Upon an excursion to the surface, an obsidian beauty happens upon the stone. Running her long and delicate fingers down the stone she examines the star then leaves with two others of her kind. A day later the stone and the ground around it is somehow covered in some sort of tacky red substance that can only be what it looks like.
The meaning is unclear, the intent is obvious - someone tried to drown out the glowing star sigil with several coats of blood.

//The below is assuming that the wall is of rock/stone, more than sand/earth. ^^;
//Also, DMs, feel free to declare this action void, if you think it needs appropriate RP in game.
Seeing all the writings remaining, Daos gets out of the Monastery one certain day with his halfdragon child. Both bring with them a bucket of water and pieces of clothing. Together, they start cleaning the blood. Once they are finished, they use grass and moisten earth to cover the carvings.
When they are done, they go back to the Monastery. For some time, sounds of hammer clashing with wood can be heard coming from the entrance, just by the well.
Hours later, Daos comes out carrying a small board. His child, a shovel. The kid digs out two holes, while Daos encourages him to keep his breathing even, and learn to use his strength.
When the holes seems deep enough, the kid buries the board. The following message is written in the following languages: draconic, drow, elven, common.
"Leave any messages you might have, in this board. Preferably in some sort of material that will be destroyed by the weather even if blown away by the wind. Too much blood already smear this land. Let that be enough to taint these lands without the addition of more trash."
