How to sit in a Tent...yes rly...amazing. >.>

Figured it out all by myself too. :P

Three cheers n' such. and now out of the kindness of my heart. I'm sharing with all of you forum readers.

Step One:
Place rug/chair ect where you wish tent to eventually go. Need a suitable emote useable object placed inside. (like a chair)

Step Two: Once ready to place tent, having the useable ability selected for the tent, hover mouse just behind or in front of sit-able object (chair)(depending where you wish tent to go)

Step Three: Place the tent where you wish it to be AND .5-1 second later Right Click On Sitable/layable Object (i.e. Chair) to bring up the radial menu, then after tent is placed you simply click the Use object button which is on the radial menu. Your character then sits on the object, which is now inside the tent.

Step Four: Enjoy!

Hint: If you get up out of the tent/chair it won't let you go back in without re-doing the above steps, so leave chair only if done with being inside tent.

This works because there is a slight delay from the moment the tent object is used, to when the tent is actually placed, which gives you a second or so to right click on the object you wish to sit on.

Now, let's find some tents which characters with broad characters can sit within.

I thought stuff like that was abuse, as it's abusing the delay in Amia's scripts and object placement, to get places you normally can't be. Which is why I've not used an of those tricks, and shy away from them like they are the devil(and not amian devils, but the "real" one!)

Id be more scared of the Amia devil, or Devils i should say, the real one is a fictional character that cant hurt me at all, the Amia ones can hurt my charaters by tearing them a new one.

I think this is the kind of abuse that is ignored

But better to have a verdict on then to ignore.

I think the impressed DM team is enough, but if you want it official, I'm not going to object (especially since I keep asking for that sort of thing).

Using a plc to make it appear as if you're sitting inside a tent is hardly abuse. It would be if you used PLCs to do game breaking stuff. Using a stool to make it appear as if you're in the tent doesnt break stuff, right?

Whacking Crowsterf with a chair isnt classed as abuse either. :D

Asking about rules again, huh? Yes, it is hereby -forbidden- to sit in any tent, under any circumstances. ;)

Might offend the tent gods? lmao

ICly you can sit in a tent, OOCly game mechanics prevent you from doing such, I found an ooc way to defeat the ooc issue. People could always sit in tents, being able to mechanically now be able to sit in them is just awesome, it adds to the scene of realism.

"Oh you found a glitch to counter the other glitch" ....yay! :D

People sitting in tents, ICly or OOCly, will lose 10 levels on first offense, 4 week ban on second and perma on third. DON'T DO IT!

too bad the bedrolls don't have a click-able sitting/fall prone ability built onto them, would be cool to abuse that in the same way lol

I wonder if you can spawn the tent next to you and and then use the emote menu to lie down? And if you wiggle around until you end up overlapping another character, you could spawn the tent and both lie down at the same time...

You can make a bench that three people can sit on. Spawn two stools with a stool's width between them and then spawn a bench in the gap so that it overlaps the stools. It's obvious when people arent sitting in the end spots, but otherwise it looks pretty good.
