Honestly that's the question. I know it's not really fancy or in-depth but I had an idea and it kind of hinges on not tacking things to the trees as though they were electrical poles. Also it called for people being able to see them as they passed through either the woods or in areas just before/after the woods.

This would be a board that is visible, easily checked without going into the Grove or near any cities that might be opposed to any faction or race chancing by and reading it.

Is there such a board (doesn't have to be physically visible at ALL) in those places?

Not that I can think of.. But your PC can always make one? If you need a manifestation in game, we've got sign widgets for sale. :)

heehee, I love you guys I do. But no if possible. Still...squirrels are better for secrets not news since they tend to bury things.

If anyone can recall mention of a board of this type already in existence, that would be great. Thank you Sig for the idea but the hope was that there was one already existing. I know I could purchase a message board but I didn't want to mess with the existing aesthetics of the forests by sticking one up.

^_^

Just an existing but largely imaginary board like the message board in the Glade, Grove, Winya, Bendir, Cordor, etc. Kind of like Air.

You can't see it, can't touch it but pretty much everyone breathing agrees "It's there". XD

If not one existing, can one be fashioned, again Purely IC Imaginary!

Nope, there is no message board in the forest, besides the one in the Oakmist Vale. Most people usually nail their posters to trees, or if you're a protector, I usually RP that I stick it to the tree with sap ;)

Im just curious; is the printing press invented in Amia? If not, there must be an army of scribes judging by all the notes, posters etc that are being huing up everywhere and allways replaced.

The printing press exists as modern technology in Forgotten Realms, so I'm sure Amia has it just fine.

The Amian Recorder runs prints, so I imagine it does.

A huge pile of animal dung. It's hard to miss, people will notice and it's 100% natural so the druids won't have a go at you for using it. *nodnod*

Galenson you're too funny for words. Though dung would make quite a statement. The reason I was asking is that I wanted to post things to encourage a few things.

1. RP between various factions.

2. Exploration into areas that had been found and likely little known.

3. lowbie quests given and rewards from my nature PC. DMs would only get involved if they wished or to pass out DCs. Trying to take something off of their plates since they have a ton on them already.

^_^ I'll put in full details about the plan soon but it would have been helped along hugely by a message board existing in the forest. Even if people just tacked messages on the back of an imaginary sign that was put up by the nearby town informing travelers that they were "Now entering the forest of -name-"

*shrugs* ...I hope this works...
