What is the requirement (monk levels) to purchase from here? I need to improve my gear but they wont give me the time of day.

And is i legit to pay someone to shop here for you?

As far as I know you are at the wrong monk place if you want to get gear.

Umm, Ruhn Monastery has some nice stuff for monks. I see a lot of monks use it.

That said, I seriously have no idea what the pre reqs are. I've seen chaotic non monks shop there. My CG monk6/fighter 8/WM 16 can shop there. My LE fighter/wiz/PM could shop there. I've seen a level 20 LN monk unable to shop there. It might be worth looking into.

Bards can access the shop too, I remember one Amian old timer saying that there was some lore behind this. ICly, which DM could I ask to possess the dwarf so I could ask for the story?

I don't think there is any lore for the seemingly random shop access, to be 100% honest. I'd be downright surprised if there is.

Ahh.. that restriction, forgot about that one. I guess it was added to promote people taking more than one monk level before the class was 'redistributed'. If there's any lore it's probably from the Arelith days. Seems that Brog did see some action, judging a few remarks I found in convos.

Ah ha. That does make sense.

Symmetry is clearly the best helmet in the module.

That would be the Thieves Hood or Spectral Vision, depending on your trade, but yus, the Symmetry rocketh bells.

Helms in general are wank, though. Everyone back in the day just used Thay and there's been no recompense.

You can't beat Thay kit period, and my only solace is that Torin would have abstained from using it out of principle, so I'm not "missing anything."
