It would be nice if party members could you know, at least check to see if you're dying and not yet dead, before charging off. One healing kit costs thirty to forty times less than what it would take to buy a raise scroll.

Anyway, if I were you and I've already confirmed that they're not gonna pay, (be it ICly or OOCly, they're that inconsiderate) I'd desecrate their corpses in so many ways that evilness allows me to do so before I revive them, letting them revel at the scent of my(character's) piss then blame it on the them blasted trolls. Of course, if you wanna get all lawful, use actual troll piss instead of yours.

I freely admit to being enough of a git that I'll avoid dead weight in my levelling groups unless they sing for their supper in terms of fun RP, or cough up the pennies for their Raise scrolls.

That means if you are ICly a little bastard that I love to hate, then I'll OOCly be glad to raise you and I'll make up some excuse to do so ingame, but if you're a say-nothing, do-nothing party leech then you can sod off.

To me, this depends on your personality and how serious you take the game. Its like would you stop to give some money to a beggar on the street when you stop at a red light. I mean, I would always raise a char if they lying dead on the ground. I don't demand back money or favor back since my char is not like that. I haven't play an evil char, so i don't really know how they act. But you never know, maybe when you die anywhere, that same person saw you will raise you either it for IC or OOC reason. Thats between the two of you. If you have to keep raising the same person or running out of money and you don't feel like it, you can make up some excuse for it. One example would be go back to the nearest town and ask for help and such. This would just create some more rp for you if you are bored.
Even though i haven't had this issue in a party yet. If they die more than once, i would actually go ahead and tell them to stay back in both IC and OOC to prevent further troubles. I would always give back gold or raise scroll back if i am being raise which is really rare. But i always want fairness toward other, even though its not toward me. You just will never know in life.

Complete hijack: I don't give money to beggars on the street. Instead I put my small change in this great big container of protein shake from my powerlifting days, and when it's full I take it to one of those machines that converts small change to more convenient cash. If you're taking the money yourself, it charges 9%, but if it's a donation to charity, they do it for free, which is fundamentally cool.

Anyway, it took me six years to fill up this tub, and the fecking thing weighed a tonne. That's by my standards, and even though I'm not training any more, I'm still strong as an ox. So I waddle down to the supermarket that has this change converter machine, and choose Comic Relief, which is a big fat charity in the UK that comedians support, for my donation. This puts a great big honking red nose logo on the screen of the machine, so everyone can see I'm being a nice guy and giving money to charidee.

Except for the security guard, who hovered around the general area of the change converter like I'm some kind of thief. I had so much money in the tub that it took the machine about quarter of an hour to process it all, and from the way they guy was looking at me, you'd think I'd chosen the Support Child Rapists Charity or something. Fat bastard even followed me round the shop once I'd finished putting the money in.

Anyway, it was 178 quid. I do admit I was tempted to stop giving it to charity and keep it for myself, since the machine gives you a running tally as it counts it, but that was six years of not feeling bad for walking past homeless guys, so meh.

Anyway, moral of the story: giving money to charity makes you feel like a nice guy, and the security guard in the Gorgie Road Sainsbury in Embra is a feckin idiot.

Oh yeah, Uce. I know what you mean. I used to do that back in the day. Apparently they take 5% of what i save in my big container after the machine count, so it kind of sucks. Oh well, they use that money to pay their electric bills anyway.

so the moral of the story here is that if you have your own machine, you should use it. But just make sure you pay for your electric bill but not for your gas money to get there. Unless you walk of course.

I always take my change bucket to the bank. They don't charge any kind of fee to convert the money into bills. Might be worth checking with your local banks to see if they'll do that for you.
