I moved to another country, bought a new copy of NWN. I installed it, and logged onto Amia. I entered my old username and when i connected to the server with my old character it says your CD key does not match this character and I got booted. How do I fix this? Because Im not gonna get my old CD keys. I don know where they are, but since when can i not connect to my account on a different computer/game copy? Ridicilous. It hasnt been this way as far as i recall.

It's to prevent your account from being hijacked, but it's a simple matter to correct. What is your account name?

Why is a measure that we have taken on your behalf to prevent your account from being manipulated and manhandled ridiculous? Especially when fixing it is as easy as asking a DM?

Mock me as you wish for my spelling, but you should know Im only learning the English language, and im quite happy with my progress. Its alright then, I was just really surprised that I couldnt use my character. 'as easy as asking a DM' ? Well It did take me 3 days to use my characters again. That was a pain.It boots you so quickly that you cant read what the server is saying. Only later i realised i can screen shot it, and when I did, only then I found out what to do. I mean when I have free time and I wanna play, I wanna play. I dont want to have to go register on the forums, wait for them to accept my account, then writeabout my problem and wait for a reply, then wait for a DM to fix it.. I know how Im sounding, like such a douchebag... but Im just being honest, how I felt about it. Its only my opinion, and Im not complaining. Now that I know why, and how everything is, I believe the pros outweight the cons but when you dont know what is going on for a few days it isnt great =/ Maybe the boot could wait a few seconds longer so people could read the message first?

Suppose this is an aside now, but it wasn't mocking; I was just poking fun. I maintain the belief that people for whom english is a second language tend to know more about the language than native speakers--you are doing quite well and are proof of that.

I'm just occasionally silly is all :P

Actually, I liked the comment. Always wondered what the actual spelling of that word is, and now I know it.

Its the same why native english speakers don't write a capital I when regering to themself, and non natives do.

You still misspell it, though. 8)
