I have no idea what head you are talking about. Some of them for an unknown reason are not seen in toolset, but you see them in Character creation. I don't know what to do about it. So it might be there, if its not, Im sorry. But I'm done.

The axis thing I tried to look into, but when I reexported the model the information on what texture to apply to it were gone. I have no idea how to fix that. So its necks that can be delt with with certain clothes, or we have flat white texturless heads.

I do not have the power to change the Varia parts of the Sidebar.

I actually edited that post twice to keep answer questions that were asked while I was posting the first one. <.<

All three in row does make it look like I was pissed or something :P

Excellent, many thanks Mahtan. This going to get tossed in the sidebar to replace the current headpack when Disco or Tormak can be dragged kicking and screaming to do it, or am I off in thinking this to be the final pack?
No Longer Applicable wrote:
Edit: Um, I just dumped the heads into my override, but when in character creation all the heads turn up with the wrong textures. They look like they have the textures from the new helm wearing heads for skin.

Edit Edit: Here's a picture.

Edit Edit Edit: It's not a CEP conflict either, just tested it with an empty hak folder. Also tested with an empty override folder except those heads, and it still does it. I'd say the models and referencing all the same texture...which is probably obvious now that I think about it xD

Either that, or when you uploaded the entire pack you uploaded some heads from CEP and it mixed with the textures.

Could someone else test out the full pack Maht uploaded as well. I want to make sure I'm not the only one having the issue.

Update: All the other head's work perfectly. It's just the human males heads which have this issue.

Update:

Weirdest thing ever, it works fine in the toolset, all the new heads show up perfectly. This is the damnedest thing...

I'm gonna assume that this is probably just a me issue...but damn this is odd.

Update...last one this night:

Can't fix it. Did a full clean install, and it still brings up the CEP face helms in character creator, then mixes the textures for the other new heads. No idea what's going on. If someone can enlighten me, I'd be thankful.

Yes that is some weird thing only in the Creator. Settign them in the ACM or with a DM it works fine. Nooo idea why those screw up and why the Toolset, creation screen, and in game handle heads differently.

I think it was jsut never made to have this many heads in the Creation screen is my guess. So it screws up. Another weird thing is toolset completely skips over some head numbers regardless of them being there. After seeing they can be properly set in game, I gave up on wondering what the problem was.

The real important thing is they can work in game and the ACM will actualyl cycle through -all- the heads. So if you have no clue what one you want because Toolset is stupid and skips over numbers, try viewing them there.

And to answer your wondering about the textures. Those are the "metal 1" and "metal 2" colors from you're clothes. Change the clothes and the head changes color too.

Ah, alright then. Explains some things. Thank you Mahtan. I don't have the Metal 1 & Metal 2 texture files. So not sure what's going on.

You probably already answered it, Maht, but do they overwrite heads on the Amian pack or do these ones have different numbers?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found the answer. ^^;

Its the colors off the clothes. The textures for it are like the dye pots. If say you had that head in game (Which should actually change you into a correct head) You could edit metal 1 and 2 on your armor and change the color of the head.

Those heads "textures" are dependant on the color of you're armor.

So why, when I installed this, are default NWN heads now messed up?

We came to the conclusion that bioware did a half arsed job at allowing custom heads to be intergrated as overrides. If your getting issues, blame bioware.

Another thing. This turns out it is not CEP friendly. I have no idea what heads CEP added and their numbers, but if you had CEP and was using a head from it. It could change. The chances are the head is still in the pack, just a different number now.

Sorry CEP users. I forgot that it actually adds heads that Amia's old head pack didn't mess with some how.

I thought our head pack in general is not friendly with CEP. This is including the Head Pack before this update.

Well someone pointed out that a head had changed on someone after installing it. It used to be the pretty boy head all the guys normally take. Now one is bald with an eye patch and the other is the same.

The only way that happens is there is a copy of the head. CEP added a copy of the teifling and the pretty boy head that I can remember. Anyone that had the CEP version will have the head break.

Not really sure how to fix that unless I went back and included the CEP heads. Which I think it is easier to fix those few peoples heads.

Also I have idea why only the heads from 50-63 want to cause problems. No matter what is there it wants to kill them from toolset and make them glitched up. Thats the heads in question in that screen shot. Toolset doesn't even let you look at them.

Yes Triple post but major break through. 50-63 are helmeted heads that were added in 1.69. They are there with no overrides.

But they are screwy. They are not selectable in toolset and anything that falls into that 50-63 head range is forced to suffer the metal textured heads. Simply remove those heads and boom fixed.

The heads in their place I am going to try to and move to a different place. If people really care about those models. They look like ones we already have by judging the model. I will look through them.

Yes, they are all copies. Those that did download, just kill the Male human heads 50-63 and you will be fixed.

You want the files named pmh0_head050 all the way to 63 deleted. That will correct the creation screen mystery issue.

I am reuploading them with this problem fixed.

Everything is fixed. Bad links have been removed. The only ones to download on are on the first page.

Note:
If you did download this already, The 50-63 heads will still be there even if you re-download. You need to manually go in an remove them.

Again that is:
The files named pmh0_head050 all the way to 63, delete those and you are fixed.

When I stick these in my Override folder; it genetared 4 more folders of what heads [female/male, human/elf]

Do I need to move the files -out- of those folders into the override alone?

I'm asking because I can't tell if I got new heads working or not. It's been so long since I mucked with a character that I don't know what differences to look for. [Ironicly I made a PC within the last week and already forgot what's the oldies and what should be new!]

No subfolders, stick them all straight into override AFAIK. Well, I did and all mine work, so I'm assuming we're supposed to.

Yeah I did crap compression job the first time. The new one can just be decompressed directly to the override.

Oi, this is interesting. Remove pmh0_head041 and all the heads disappear from the character creation. Remove any before that and all the heads are there.

Also I got this error in my AR_Error.log file.

Names Differ: pmh0_head041..setsupermodel pmh0_head041 NULL pmh0_head041

Head 41 is the hooded head from the original Amia head pack. So whatever error you are getting should of always been there. No idea. Do the hooded heads work for you?

When I remove it, no, however, the other new heads all disappear as soon as I remove head 41 from the pack also.

Redownlaod the old Amia headpack and just replace head 41 and see if that does anything. I haven't had any issues.

It will create a new folder using the default line of installation. So my thinking is that if your smart enough to install your NWN in another area then the default area, you are smart enough to move those files to where NWN is located.

Alternatively, include the option of an EXE or ZIP download. Most people do that.

Yes it is. Everything has been fixed. The only people that had an error with heads switching are those with CEP and using a head from higher numbers in CEP. Which have been fixed. There werent many.

*Cough*

I'm still having issues. Though I'm 100% sure it's an isolated issue. My computer, NWN and other shit are all screwing up. Thinking of just reinstalling everything and installing XP.

Are you getting problems where the whole area turns solid-white by chance, or even players?

EDIT: Also the whole game closing down by itself, sometimes without even an error report?

I have no idea what it is. I have three computers here will Vista 32 bit, XP Pro and Vista 64 and all three could not make the error you are getting. I have no idea what is going on on your side.

Tell me how the new install treats you. I do know you have alot of Overrides, It is possible your appearance 2da got edited in some of your downloads. I know mine has in the past and I got errors.

Just to expand on that...
If you used a headpack you thought was awesome and it did include some Appearance 2da edits for them to appear exactly how the author wanted, you can get errors later when you install heads over those ones without setting the appearance 2da back to normal. Amia's heads have no 2da edits and thus doesn't include on in the download.

What the Appearance 2da does is the tell the game what file names and sizes are defualt. Any files that share those exact names in the override folder will take the default spot in game.

So Head Pack on NWN vault has a Head 41 for humans set to appear on a larger scale and is set to read a file named pmh2_head041. But Amia's head pack head 41 is called pmh0_head041. The names do not match and so you get an error.

But as to why for you, you have all the custom heads rely on head 41 being there makes no sence to me. If head 41 is gone, you jsut have a NULL head in game. It shouldn't remove them all.

A 'simple' remedy could to make two batch files. One for Amia and one for the rest of NWN. Each starts NWN itself after and it renames 2 folders, like this:

Amia NWN.bat:
-Rename \Override to \Override_NWN
-Rename \Override_Amia to \Override
-Start nwnmain.exe with proper commands (and chatlog backup?)

General NWN.bat:
-Rename \Override to \Override_Amia
-Rename \Override_NWN to \Override
-Start nwnmain.exe (and chatlog backup?)

Place those .bat files on your desktop or whereever you start nwn from right now and you have two override configurations at your disposal.

That way you can start an override for Amia without anything else in it than teh head pack and slowly add stuff that you only want to use here.

Mind that it isn't the right code, btw. It's just the steps the .bat should take.

 We should have monsters called .bat in the UD.

My point exactly...god himself is confused I think.

Okay. So my eyes started crossing after about a page and a half. Let me see if I got this right.

The additional heads are completely done, and the links for those are on the first page in the first post, yes?

Yes. Even included and EXE that will install itself. Or you can download the RAR for the entire Amia head pack or just the new ones I added.

Looking at the instructions for that tool... doesn't support any of the files we need it for.
