Although I believe a Champion of Torm can be any non -evil.. a Champion of "someone else" would be considered Lawful if the deity is a lawful one? I was told that I should consider a Champion of "someone" as a cleric or 'Paladin' persay of said deity. I want to know what you all think.

vagueness FTW!

I believe that it is more of a question of which god they are a champion of, opposed to the class itself.

Do some research on a class known as "Divine Champion". This is basically what Champion of Torm was meant to be.

Ahh.. champions can only be for non-evil deities.

Take Blackguard and call yourself a Champion.

On NWN, only non-evils can be divine champions. Not sure DMly powers can alter it to allow evils.

Technically, you can be a LN Champion of Tiamat, though. You can't be Evil, but your patron could (if you remained within one step of its alignment).

Thanks so much for that Iron.. I was going to do that but I wasn't 100% sure about the alignment and the worshiping of a deity and the info on the site I could only find clerics alignments.

I'm not sure if that's a very good way to go about it, though: you get many abilities that are rather goodish, such as Smite Evil and Lay On Hands. It's possible, but not a very good representation of a cruel champion of Tiamat.

Purely build-wise, Cleric or Blackguard can both be role-played as champions of their god, and are typically more powerful than CoTs. So unless you have some clear vision why you want to role-play a LN Champion of Tiamat and use the CoT class for it, you might be better off with an alternative build.

I'd love if CoT could be fixed so it had no alignment restrictions and gave Smite Good or Smite Evil depending on alignment but apparently alignment restrictions on classes are an all or nothing deal.

I do have a build in mind and really the only reason is because I can get enough feats with CoT. I think though... I'm going to do it still but not a Champion of Tiamat just yet.

I think I'm going to redo with blackguard in mind and a different story. Maybe I'll put in a request to be a half dragon instead of being a dragon disciple...when I finish with my background story but I'm playing two characters right now...so it might be a bit. haha
