The mythal crafting chart has - in all of the boxes for damage resistance. How do you add damage resistance to armor?

No, it has a - in all the boxes except Divine.
So, you use a divine, or else you find an armor with a damage resist in a shop, or as loot, and use that as a base for mythalling,

OK but under the Powers section on the mythal crafting page it says:
Damage resistances: 15/- is two powers; 20/- and higher are four powers.
But the table for mythal crafting for damage resistance says:
Equippable Items Minor Lesser Intermediate Greater Flawless Perfect Divine
Damage Resistance 5/- - - - - - - Special
So does this mean that with a divine mythal you can choose from 5/- to 20/- or higher?

No. It means that the DR already ON the armor, takes up taht much power.
You have 4 powers on armor..
say you have 15/- fire resist on it.
that means you ahve 2 powers left, if you remove everything but that
so you can add.. say.. +2 con

ahh ok on that point, thanks
so the only damage resistance that can be put on an item using a mythal is 5/- and it takes a divine mythal to do that?

That's because unless you want to cheat at the bareknuckle brawl, they don't do much.

I'm personally a great fan of +1/5 DR from the Lesser. Saves you the gold that is normally spent in Misty Potions.

Doesn't misty give you 5/+3 though? And immunity to a few spells?

+5/5 DR requires a perfect mythal, not a divine.
Edit: NVM... you were talking about Resistance, not Reduction. then its a divine.

Level 1 spells, 10% conceal, but it's 5/+1 DR.

Ghostly Visage.
The instruction manual, ever-wrong as it pretty much is, does state 10/+2 DR. But Wikia is what I'd go by with 5/+1 DR.
