Those of us that protect nature, that stalk the forests to gaurd against the unnatural; that tend to the strange disease and maladies; that guide those outside of Nature's domain to minimize thier impact, We share a bond with nature. We are planted in it's soil like seeds and rise up. Our roots keep us connected. We draw from it, and give back to it in turn. We are connected by that same bond to each other.

No matter what god, be it Malar or Silvanus, we can work together to protect nature. Though we do not agree, no matter the victor of our struggles, nature will always be shielded. Those who are not connected cannot understand this. Banites or Tempurans, Ilmaterans or Lovitarians, Correllians or Llothites.. It matters not. Where they go, and where they battle, it suffers. It pains the world they live in. It tears them apart. It tears thier world apart. Left to thier madness, civilization is apt to fall, and the victors rule over ruins.

In the spirit of our bond, a moot was called. A moot to call druids of all orders, and rangers of all callings together. A moot to discuss and unify our actions as to best tend to the land. In this moot a vote was called. By vast majority action was clearly decided. Let nature be. Let nature recover. Let life remain. And this trust, this unity, and this bond..

Was betrayed.

It was betrayed by the Archdruidess Malandria. It was betrayed by her lover. It was betrayed by an elven ranger named Eary. It was betrayed by a ranger of the Glade. They left from the moot before the tally was even fully marked. They went about the business of slaughtering the wolves that were voted to be saved and monitored. Each life they cut down, cut deeper into thier bonds with thier fellows and with us. Like those who are corrupted by "civilization" they have set out to destroy that which they vowed to protect.

Hubris born of self importance, Ignorance caused by lack of attendence, Betrayal of everything we stand for. Those that went against the concensus of the moot showed utter disdain to all that attended. They Decided that they alone were all that mattered. As they have cut thier bonds with us, they have seperated themselves from the land that we all have come to protect and embody.

The forest is not a park. The forest is not a garden for Winyan elves, nor is it part of thier domain to gaurd and slaughter those that they hunt. This forest is on the verge of death, and only by working together even with those we do not agree with can we restore life the grand organism that is the forest. Let there be Life. Let there be Death. Let there be balanced on scales and not a tug-of-war perpetuated by those enthralled by thier own seat of power.

I call for action against those that have spilled blood that needed not be spilled. All those in favor of finding just punishment against the former brethren whom cut thier bonds and still sully Nature should sign below. United we will show them the error of thier ways. United we will pray for the duir to acknowledge a circle of druids, rather than a set of arch druids whom ignore the responsibilities. Remove the Arch Druidess form power and ban her accomplices from the forest.

*the following poster, at least in its original incarnation of Earylduil's handwriting, isno longer present - being removed by Willow.*

Eary is later seen in absolute hysterics, before assigning a note below it in a simple scripture

You weren't betrayed by an Arch Druidess. Nor where you decieved by the gods. You were duped from the beginning by a mere elf with a bow, one who acted before your blinded eyes and remained unnoticed.

This was my doing, and proudly so. I dragged the others into it - both members of the Grove, and members of the Glade - and we solved a problem before it grew out of hand. Right before your eyes, at that, though I never claimed you all to be observant - whether towards people, or the land you claim to protect.

Irrespective of claims - the local wildlife was failing and faltering, and no amount of 'selective breeding' will save a creature of prey from a predator that severely outclasses it.

Your pathetic vote was nothing more than a childish play. A forum where many voices can speak in a short-sighted unison, with no reason, no true argument, and no point to be made - and be accepted as right. A broken system.

Of course, a call for action by a nameless man is always an amusing one. A man afraid of recourse, perhaps. The -natural- ecosystem of Amia Forest shall be restored, in a careful, logical manner.

A young man stood before the notice reading it silently. The various pelts and furs decorating his armor shifted and moved with each stroke that his hand placed atop the head of the dark wolf at his side. He brushed aside his auburn hair to peruse each line with his azure eyes until completion. His only reply to the written words was a low and feral growl. With a simple nudge to the side of the wolf's head he stalked back into the darkness of the woods, the canine close on his heels. He savored the smell of fresh blood on the air but disregarded it in another instant. They did not understand the Hunt.

A brown-skinned human can be seen reading the posters, standing by them for hours, just staring at them from behind his mask. After several hours, he shakes his head. "Bloody pointy ear idiot, he must be a Winyan. Leaving a Moot without a word, without explenation, to go against the will of those present is nothing more than a mockery.." He mutters to himself.

He then adds below, adressed to Earylduil
"It is indeed a great disappointment that you could fall as low as to betray the trust of your fellow Wardens. How your actions affect the wildlife in the long run is uknown as of yet. What is certain however, is that what little respect you once commanded is gone, and your words as worthless as that of a lolthite darkling. Those present at the Moot would have respected the outcome of the vote, even if it had turned the other way. You however, have proven that you can not be trusted in the future, and any authority you claim to hold is void. You are a disgrace and a great disappointment. Pray then, that your actions were indeed right, or suffer the full guilt and blame should it fail.

As for your accomplices, I pass no judgement, nor do I wish for any of you to be barred from the forest on the reasons of following another. Regaining my, and others, trust will be no easy task however, if such does matter to you.

Earylduil is a city dweller, a former cordorian guard, and he has not been seen in the woods for decades. Yet here he comes, insulting the protectors who actually carry out their duties by being in the forest that he claims to protect yet never visits. A close friend of Ryriska Ve'heer, a tarkuulian councillor, a connection which the archdruidness ignores, just further proving her hypocricity, not caring for such unless the ''offender'' is not in her favor.

Malandria has once more proven she is no leader, for what leader dismisses the voices and opinions of those she claims to guide? When people refuse to dance by her tune, she craps on the unity that binds us and takes matters into her own hands. She could not as much as argue or explain herself, she did not even wait for the vote... basically making the moot a charade, a waste of everyone's time. She has decided for us in the past... she let the Winyans patroll our woods, yet was not around to deal with the consequences of her decision. She allowed the Kelemvorites to lord over us, bringing their beliefs and laws into the forest, going as much as passively watching as sister Eldainia was tortured and whipped for simply speaking her mind by the lunatic frost giant.

As much as it saddens me that a brother of our own ranks chose to betray his family, he did so willingly, deceiving the glade and his peers knowingly.

All four need to answer for the slaughter they committed, for stepping on the unity and bounds keeping the protectors together.

I fully support the ban of all four individuals, and the removal of Malandria from power.

Image

The archdruidness Malandria has not been a true leader for a long time. She is never in the forest she claims to protect, preferring to spend time under the sheets with her lover. She offers no guidance, no help, no information to the grove. Instead of leading, she does things on her own, not answering to anyone of the circle. She accepts no help, no companions, no advice. She does not work with the circle, acting alone, not answering to any. She refuses to grant trials, lessons, to guide, to lead. If she won't act as a leader, she should not be one.

I vote yes, she should be removed from office, and punished along with her accomplices.

~Jabari

*Somewhere along the trails of the central wood, a Roadwarden sighs quietly, looking down at his healing wolf bites with a smile.

A badger peeks out of it's hole, sniffing the air. Something is indeed different.

Despite the unrest amongst it's more cerebral inhabitants, things start to look a bit brighter in the forest *

Eary's response is simple, in response to the last two notices.

How do you manage to change the color of your writing directly in between messages? Do you carry an array of inks with you at all times?

Valas One and Valas Two, unite! And again you systematically attempt to single out, target, and harass the same people and present startlingly similar arguments!

It's uncanny. It's as though there's one voice coming through two mouths, in a futile attempt to add weight to the argument presented

You miss the point. What is the point of holding meetings, of having circles, a council, a grove if the archdruidness is just going to ignore it all and do as she pleases anyway? Malandria thinks she knows best and that she can rule the forest alone, that none else is important and that just her opinions matter. It is time we proved her wrong.

She can start her own grove of two... since that does seem to be how she runs the Oakmist Vale as it is.

A light, thin uncommon druid could be seen walking through the forest, mumbling about the obvious corruption of the druids of the grove. He would sign his name.

~ Markus

Another notice could be seen under it, from a completely different person as it seems.

Dear Mr. Writer, whomever posted this I would personally like to request a meeting with you, as it seems we share similar view points on this very same topic. I understand that you wish to remain in secret, as I likely would also if such measures came to the ones you are proposing. But nontheless I think a meeting should be held, I can be found in Winya, send a letter to the guards and they shall deliver it to me.

Thank you,

~ Winyan Councilor Kell Ap Morgan.

Nature knows not of politics, petty follies of friendship, nor these pathetic idealogies you speak of.

You can call me a traitor, and I shall bear the title with pride. You can label my actions as betrayal, and I shall embrace it with a smile.

For as you all will find in due time - this action was wise, founded, and effective. And I will never allow the childish delegations of youthful 'meetings' to hinder my pursuit of this forest's safety.

By the way, I'm not a city dweller. Anarouch Desert, a world far more harsh and fragile than this. Please, get your facts straight, Valas 1.

We have erred in the past, by attempting to take on Mylthar on our own, without the consent and assistance of the other protectors. Our mistake has had dire consequences... During our trial, Malandria gave her word to the council that such would not happen again, that she would not go out and act alone without the approval of her peers. She spoke of regretting the fact that she did not consult and enlist the aid of the protectors, claiming it was her mistake. Yet here she did just that, she has learned nothing.

You live in cordor, claim yourself a citizen, you were a member of the adventuring guard. You have not been seen around the forest for a long time, making the city your home. It does not matter where you hail from, but what you have become.

You do not deny your close friendship with Ryriska, interacting with her regulary, something I have been accused of repeatedly.

You're hardly one to talk about lessons unlearned, anti-hero.

Apparently doesn't feel the need to sign, given his handwriting by now is quite easy to recognize from his other posts.

By the way. I'll admit to my friendship with Ryriska. Openly. She's an ally held at arm's distance.

However, unlike you - I never tried getting into her pants. You really are a horny little devil, aren't you?

A shame your previous wives speak so lowly of your skill in bed, else you might just have had her, too!

Come on, Valas, what are you trying to prove? Your words are meaningless to me, they fall upon nothing more than an ear's attention piqued in amusement. You're a child, grasping at straws, wanting so badly tobe right, to be loved, to be a hero, and to be able to draw a final blow against someone youhate.

You're a desperate little child, and honestly..

It's the most entertaining display I've ever been witness to.

With Love
Earylduil

A werewolf walks over, growling and tears down all the notices in anger. It freezes them all and shatters them on the floor. It walks off growling at any who gets close, in warning, and outright savagely attacking anyone that dares to approach it.

I have lived in the forest for a very long time now.

Never have I seen the one who calls himself Earylduil.

Why does he have a voice in these matters, when he was not there before, during or after, but only appears when he feels like it? By his own admission he lives in the Anarouch Desert, a place thousands of miles away.

What is he doing here?

Why does he think he has a say?

The wolves were a problem. They were attacking and killing often, and in large numbers. Inside their burrow, some of the wolves present were bigger and stronger than some of the bears in brog.

And their numbers were above sixty, when I lost count.
And all of you say they weren't a threat?

I'm no ranger, but I'm smart enough to know that when a large pack of wolves suddenly move in, so shortly after all the deer got slaughtered by another wolf.. something's wrong.

And now apparently, the Duir is healing, after they got removed. So it was a good call, and a fast one. People complained the grove don't do anything, now they did. The rest of you did nothing for a long time..

What's done is done. Don't cry over spilt milk, and be happy the cubs of the pack were brought to other packs, where they won't grow up to be so bloodthirsty and menacing.

I don't even get why everyone is so upset over the wolves.. I haven't seen -one- Ranger or Druid, complain or protect the bears of Brogendenstein, Forstakkr or the forest of Dispair.. Hells, I've even seen most of the people that have written here, help kill the wolves that moved out and attacked..

Oh and for those that don't SEE him.. doesn't mean he's not there. Eary's sneaky. You don't always see me when I'm there either. Doesn't mean someone aren't there. And I've seen Eary in the forest plenty of times over the last few days and weeks.

When no one could see the problems the wolves brings, when no one listens to us when we try to tell you they are slowly killing the forest, when no one does -anything- at all about it, something needed to be done.
What we did was right, and I do not regret it one bit. My duty is to nature, and to this forest first and foremost, and if my fellow druids refuse to solve the problems we have created ourselves, then I will do it myself, and with those who share my oppinion.

All deer in the forest, slaughtered. Most other animals, slaughtered. By these wolves you wanted to stay.
You spoke of a breeding program to bring the deer and other animals back into the forest, but they would only be exterminated once more by the vicious wolves.
They had no place in this forest. They were too aggressive.

Now, the forest will slowly heal. Local wolves will take back their place in the forest, and other animals will be able to return.
You say we are corrupt, when all we did was something that was long overdue. Restoring the Balance, or atleast, the first step of doing that.

You will all see that what we did was right.

The "right" thing does not need acclaim.

The 'right' thing is not deciding how you want nature to be. Our decisions have /NEVER/ told Nature what to do, and where we are is proof of that; be it druids over-protecting, or druids outrightly slaughtering, EACH extreme is wrong. You're wrong for doing it, and time will prove nothing but how much blood can shed.
Ania.

The Duir and the Forest seem to disagree.

And its their opinion that matters on the matter.

I will do anything to restore and uphold the balance. My life is dedicated to nature and my goddess. I only lead those who wish to be led, I force noone to follow me. Those who joined my actions and agreed with what had to be done, did so willingly. Aside of that, I was not alone but another archdruid also accompanied us to do what was the right thing to do.

The duir and my goddess may judge me if I was wrong.

The young hunter passes by these notices as they are left with each new written argument between the protectors of the forest. Allowing his lips to contort into the slightest of grins he whispers underneath the confines of his helm. "This is why.." He keeps a stark, blue eye on the large canine walking beside him, comfort in each heavy step the wolf places upon the ground.

*places a single note*

The deer were dead before the wolves came. Those who had been there from the beginning would know such.

The Duir was sick before the wolves came. Those who had been there from the beginning would know such.

The wolves had been moved away from the roads until the den's could be found so they could be moved not slaughtered. It was slaughter of the deer that caused the Duir to sicken. This slaughter will likely kill it fully.

Once more, may the Father forgive.

Upon hearing of this, Arilia simply stares ahead in disbelief. She then growls and mumbles to herself. "This is unforgivable..."

*Arielle reads it all when she arrives from her camping trip into the wilderness and sits shocked with the news*

I thought we would remove them and take them home. Why kill innocent creatures?

If the pack of wolves moved into the forest, it means that something was wrong with their territory. By, studying and fixing the problem on the wolves home and bringing them back into it, the problem could have being solved without killing nature's creatures.

I thought druids were able to pacifically handle animals, why kill what you can make follow you into protection?

I think the decision of decimating sixty wolves was poor and against all that I believe to be my work as a druid. We are here to protect, not to destroy. Not to get the easy way out. Honestly, it makes me think twice if the Grove is indeed the right place for me to learn druidism.

The grove handled an enemy, killing and invading their territory. A hostile pack, invading on the grove's pack and family.

The grove handled the problem, quick and clean, after too much time was given in my opinion.

We take care of our pack. If that means some strays are mad at us for it, then I say let them. This forest is where we live, where we hunt, where we procreate, where we have our children. And all of you blame us all for killing creatures that threaten that, just because they're animals?

I'd kill a bastard adventurer without blinking if he were doing what the wolves did. And I'd kill any one of those wolves myself, if I were around to get the chance.

Anyone don't like how the problem was dealt with, they can blow it out their rectal potholes. The wonder of nature, is that diplomacy means jack all. And when hostile packs trespass, they better leave or suffer the consequences. And if pack members of the grove had a problem with it, then I say either suck it up and agree that it was done, or find yourself another pack. Arguing about it internally does nothing but make me want to break noses.

*Elana sighs sadly at all the notices put up, and puts up another one*

Sometimes, to protect nature, you need to kill. It's not our job to save every living creature. It's our job to make sure the Balance is kept. With all these wolves around, it was not.
I did not enjoy what we did, but it needed to be done.

The wolves were far too many and far too aggressive to safely move from the forest. Extreme meassures had to be taken.

And you must all have noticed that the forest is slowly changing for the better with the wolves gone.

*Arielle reads the note left by Davril and grunts*

So, now animals that are not part of the small ecosystem around the Grove are not deserving of being helped and protected? So lets kill all creatures that don't belong here, lets burn them all and give a damn for nature, because the only thing that matters are the small piece of land around our home?

Honestly sir you are mistaken, when I became a druid it is for love for the land, for nature, for all creatures. Mielikki is a God that protects more than the area below your nose.

I honestly think that if a better excuse for the slaughter of sixty wolves are not given, it is only a question of druids becoming butchers.

Arielle Nullen.

A second note was attached

Dear Elana, if you say so, I will believe on your words. But, a part of the dogma of Mielikki says:

... and to punish and frustrate those who hunt for sport (not food) and who practice cruelties upon wild creatures....

And that sister was what you all just did. It could be difficult to remove all of them, but with enough help of animal handlers it could have being done.

I hope, honestly, it never more come to pass.

If this is truly your opinion, then I don't think there is much left to be said. Nature isn't all fluffy, cuddle animals. Nature also means death and fight sometimes. We did not enjoy this... but it had to be done or we would soon have a second forest of dispair.
