Is it possible to make "Epic Traps" ? Becaus all ive seen in the Craft Trap Section are Deadly ones, as the strongest.

You'll never be able to craft epic traps because they're too strong. If you could craft them I'd force Disco to nerf them to worthlessness. Stacked sonics = 27475637575893856d6 sonic damage IN THE FACE.

I must say I've seen what a friend of mine does with those as a rogue, and am very glad that they can't be crafted.

Its not as if they couldn't be easily got though.

For something powerful are they unappreciated.

They're a great way to deal with epic bosses.

It's true.. the difference between crafting them and just sneaking out to one of the spots and "harvesting" two dozen of them is pretty damn small. As such I don't think Epic trap crafting would unbalance anything.

It turns a perfectly finite resource into infinite and invalidates the small market that some PCs have, actually getting the traps and sellnig them. No go, IMO.

Haha, this reminds me of the one time I was actually able to sell a trap. It was to a DM character who I guess felt pity for my fruitless choice of product, and he gave me a DC and some comforting words á là "I didn't really need the trap, I just saw you standing there being passed over for the last half hour". It was magical.

Funny, I see more than a few people buy traps, but...

*Cough*

Anyway, I agree that epic trap crafting is a bad thing. Although can we expand on the 'craft traps' a little? I only used the skill once and that was in Nesek so I had traps that DIDN'T kill any reckless adventuers, even if they were unbuffed mages (damn, that was bloody). Make some alarm traps or ones that dish out light. For example, there was that one on NWN 2, where when the trap was triggered a loud noise trigger went off.

Something with the sound and visual for Greater Thunderclap would be awesome for that.

I think Mago was referring to "too few rogues".
Which is a LIE! :P
I've seen plenty of epic rogues (and had my face splattered by a good few of them.) Believe me, theres no shortage.

Actually, having spells like Bigby's on traps is excessively overpowered.

Rogues are perhaps one of the most common classes on Amia. The only problem is that people use 2 levels of it to cheese out tumble, UMD and evasion.

Since most characters who emphasize on the rogue class in their build also have SD, they really don't need much loving with those insane stacks of skill points, sneak attacks, improved evasion, epic dodge and HiPS.

I think you'll find it's relatively common for a class.

I believe he is referring to just he visual effect:

Since he references me (and my suggestion was the sound and visual for Greater Thunderclap would make a great alarm trap, especially if it does the shake the screen thing).

Yeah, greater thunder clap would make a great alarm. Anyway, there are too few TRUE rogues is a good thing, I don't count these people who take 1-5 levels in it as true. Besides, this is less about rogues and more about traps. Remeber, other people like rangers use traps too. Currently, craft trap is near useless, so colour is what I am asking for, not epic traps or anything, just something useful.
