I recently decided to reinstall my NWN2 game and it brought back fond memories of Amia to me (in NWN1 of course). I have to say that out of all of the online realms I have played in, Amia has been by far the most memorable and enjoyable. Even though I don't really have time for it any more I've always looked back on it warmly.
In any case, remembering Amia made me want to come back to the forums and see how things have changed. If I still had NWN installed I'd probably want to log in as well, though my character most likely has been deleted/archived by now.
Speaking of which, does anyone remember Grimm Bearhand?
I remember the name, if not the character! Welcome back (to the forums)!

I'm actually really tempted to come back, though that would require a lot more installing and downloading and waiting just so I could return with the character I had way back when.
Ah, screw it. *gets out his old NWN disks*
Anyone remember who I have to bother to get my character(s) back from the archive? (If they are even still there)
Check out the "How to run NWN with Vista" topic in the BioWare forums, I guess?
Oh, the issue isn't that... it's that my HOTU disk is scratched and not working, and the patches don't automatically download anymore, so I've had to download a ton of stuff and find someone else's disk to use.
I think I'm almost done at last (the better part of a day later), but you never know!
Also, I remember you. I think it was you, anyway, who did a rather interesting little mini event that I was kind of the centre of (involving the Mylock temple).
It involved about 5 of us.... I was being clever and used a polymorph spell to reach an area that couldn't be walked to, and all went well until I tried to get back and realized I didn't have any more polymorph dust. Following which I ended up in a ravine, and then one of my group members and I accidentally popped up all alone in the Mylock boss's room and had to take on a whole horde of them on our own (fortunately the others arrived and saved us).
Ah, good times!
There were crystals involved after we beat them all down, too.
