I finally had the time to put a little something together for morso DM use than player, as most of the time people have no idea what is currently going on with my events, besides those who have currently dealt with the Horde or Akadormi or General Thornius - Which would actually at least be quite a large amount of players. In telling the history of the Horde, how it came to be, and how the great war sparked, and how devistating it is to the current and surrounding lands and cities, will hopefully spark new amounts of roleplaying experiencies, or interest people into joining these simple-yet flourishing events that continue to keep going on. The Horde story is consistant, I ever plan on it ever coming to a ~Halt~ For the mere fact that people really do enjoy the events that its brung. Hopefully people will be able to add thier bits of roleplaying experiences and such, as long as its flame free of course.
I dont have enough time currently to write the story and such , but I'll start with Bio's on the Horde's Generals and other Important NPC's in the quests.
~General Guthma~
Guthma, perhaps one of the oldest scorns apon Amia and a eldar evil, is a massive Umberhulk beast of some intellegence. Normally most Umberhulks dont have more then -natural- instincts, but Guthma's intellegence has allowed him for speech, the ability to think for himself, and able to allow the understanding of more emotions - Mainly being rage and hatred. The lumbering Umberhulk stands at over 14 feet tall, being massive in size and not lacking any muscle at all. Instead of having the standard Umberhulk Shells on his outside, instead they have been replaced with steel plating, basically making him more of a walking fortress then a living creature.
When Guthma first appeared into the lands of amia, the very ancient times before almost all of the current characters who are around to this date. He was ruthless, heartless and a major thorn in many individuals back then. When not many knew of Guthma's intensions at this point, the very early state of the Axis Replublic hired Guthma as a General to deal with thier Lumber dispute with the ancient druids of amia. Though seeing Guthma's immense problems with rage and hatred, he was expelled from the Axis Republic before things became worse.
Even without the Axis Support, Guthma still gained support otherwise, the way he knew best - Through fear and brutality. Guthma easily gained many Goblin and Kobold followers in months of ~Forcing~ them to join into his small but growing army, and soon enough he waged immense wars on the eldar Druids of amia.
In causing this rucuss, Guthma's raging war on the Druids caused Catastrophic amounts of damage to the forest lands, destroying over 70% of Amia's forests that time, and leaving the areas unfertile for regrowth. Finally after the longing war with Guthma, the Ancient Druids of amia finally defeated the immense beast in a epic battle. Though the tale of his defeat did not mention he was actually ~Killed~.
Over 250 years had passed since that era of time since Guthma has now been spotted again. The beast has returned, and given a rank of General in the armies of the Horde. Now with the command of Horde forces and soldiers, Guthma once again seeks to finish his old and bitter hatred with the Druids of amia, but this time - Do the druids know of this old and ancient terror?
If it was not for Guthma's meddling in the past, the Skull Crags, Kobold cave area , Bramble woods, bloodmoons, and the swamps would still be a green foresty wild jungle of nature. He's caused immense and devastating amounts of damage to nature's lands, and intends of finishing off the remainder - This time with a much larger and orginized force.
~Akadormi - King of the Horde~
The main and largest reason why the Horde still exist to this date is because of this soul being, Akadormi is perhaps the spine and backbone of the entire formation of the Horde, and how it operates. As his name speaks, he rules the Horde under a monarchy, being the King of the entire masses. Originally from the distant lands off from the sword coast, Akadormi is a Fire Giant who was one of great strength in the far off lands, but not very noticable in icewindale.
When Thornius forsaw his own death just as Baal did in the times of Chaos, Thornius sought to find somebody to continue the Horde he had created, and found the perfect being to do such, he did. It was akadormi who Thornius led and guided to Amia, where he gave him ruling and ultimet power of the masses of the Horde. Since his arrival to Amia and leading the Horde, Akadormi constantly had Thornius at his side, which was a immense concern to many of the Hero's battling the Horde. To thier major worries was that Thornius was teaching Akadormi ways that no Mortal should know, or knowledge that one should have.
If not for Akadormi, Thornius's fall and the Horde's would be complete at the same time. When Thornius was finally defeated and sealed for all eternity at Mystra's grove, it was thought that the Horde itself would collapse. But because Thornius forsaw this; Akadormi already knew the emergency plan to rebuild what Thornius started - Greater then the original horde he hoped.
So after the loss of Thornius, Akadormi gathered the remainder of the pre-today Horde and went into hiding with them far in the Skull crag mountains for over a year - Also . . . a item that was overlooked by the Hero's who slayed Thornius was his Hellflame sword, which Akadormi quickly took after Thornius's defeat.
Over the year and months of hiding with his now defeated Horde, Akadormi now sought to rebuild the crumbling empire, and he quickly did with great sucess. Going to almost all the surrounding beings in the land, telling them of how he could save thier kinds and bring them out of hiding after so many years of Cordorian "hunting parties" Butchering thier people, Akadormi easily gained support through the masses - Such as the Hobgoblins, Goblins, Kobolds, Orcs, Ogres, Minataurs, Gnolls and even the Fire Giants who dwelled in brogenstine. Soon enough Akadormi had such immense amounts of support, he soon planned on bringing the Horde out of hiding. And it is because of Akadormi that the Horde is such a massive and immense variety of diffrent beings and monsters.
Over the time spent learning from Thornius's teachings, Akadormi became more and more corrupt under the path of Thornius - Learning how to summon Thornii faction members for aid, how to wield Thornius's Hellblade flamesword, and also was taught about the 3 powerful Artifacts Thornius had left for Akadormi to gather after his death. He also granted him high powers, his strength immensly was increased, even Akadormi's appearance was changing from a fire Giant to more of a immense figure of power.
Now leading the Horde under a steel grip and having un-wavering followers to his command, Akadormi sees the human and humanoid races the same through Thornius's eyes - They must clearly be exterminated. As a fire Giant, his passion burns for the humanoid races, and was easily convinced by THornius the only true path to getting rid of the human problem was to exterminate. For too long the humans had control over amia, and for too long the Cordorian adventerur's had thier "Hunting Parties" slaughter the Horde's diffrent types of races and beings. It was time to push the filthy humanoids into cowering, the hunters would become the hunted in Akadormi's eyes.
Not many have even seen the mighty King himself, and few have lived to tell the tale, he is incrediably well trained with Thornius's Hellflame blade, and has incredible strength - much more then the average Fire Giant. Also with a much higher intellegence then the others, Akadormi easily learned the teachings from Thornius in quick time. To this point in time, Akadormi still commands and rules the Horde itself, and makes the final word on any judgement in the Horde's forces. His defeat cannot be a easy path, and he will not rest until the entire Humanoid races are exterminated.
~High Priest Ssslo'or~
One that hasent been known commonly through the Great War by the humanoid races, High Priest Ssslo'or has stayed unnoticed in the eyes and ears of the humanoid people. While the names of Guthma and Akadormi are morso spread known across Amia, Ssslo'or has kept a low profile among that, while he is highly known in the Horde.
Placed in charge of religion, battle planning and in charge of the Yuan Ti faction of the Horde, Ssslo'or is a elder Yuan Ti with great intellegence and thinking ability. His plans do not always get commenced, but when Ssslo'or places a battle plan down to start, it has always suceeded - The Mystra Purge was his greatest success. While keeping a eye out for any remainder Mystra Worshippers, Ssslo'or also keeps to his own agenda of bringing the teachings of sseth into the lands of amia, to his Yuan Ti brethern.
Racist, sexist and a twisted being, Ssslo'or sees the human race as a complete waste of space and poses no use in the world, not even as slaves. Extermination would be the best in his eyes, and such is the reason why he has a liking for the Horde's Extermination policy. Also having sexist opinions about females, seeing as females are only as breeding machines, and nothing more. If necissary, he will deploy females into Suicide missions where he would care less if they fell in battle.
In charge of keeping religion in a powerfull state in the Horde, he spreads the belief of Sseth among the Yuan Ti, while the rest of the Horde he teaches the teachings of Thornius. Those are the two and only religions and teachings in the Horde society - Thornii and Sseth. While knowing deadly and powerful magical arts, it seems Ssslo'or poses a great and dangerouse threat in the Great War against the Humanoids, as he has been watching the bigger targets and the great hero's of cordor, he knows how they tick, how they can fall, and how they can never get back up.
~General Flarion~
Besides from King Akadormi, General Flarion was the only other being that is known to have good and close relations to the ancient terror Thornius.
Flarion is a immensly powerful Elemental being of ancient times, more intellegent then the avergage elemental - much more. Flarion is a twisted and corrupted elemental being, corrupted by the hands of Thornius. In the old ages when Thornius waged battles in the Blood wars, he sought to have a General who did not have devil blood - who would have a better mind in the rules of warfare. So he created his own subordinant. Flarion is a modified and twisted Elemental being, and was used in the Blood wars to command Thornius's legions when he waged war at the gates of heaven for centuries. He was granted great intellegence, and Thronius gave him many teachings in the rules of warfare and how to crush the enemy.
Now pledging allegiance to Akadormi, the hier of Thornius, General Flarion has posed a immense threat to the human race. With his fire abilities, and morso the worry - he can teleport his Fire elementals through any flame , like a portal. With that ability as his playing card, his presence can be in almost all locations at all times, as Fire tends to be commonly used apon amia.
With horde and Elemental forces under his command to deploy, Flarion has posed a great threat to the humanoid people of amia in the Great War.
~Thornius - " The Higharchy "~
Perhaps the largest threat to ever face the lands of amia itself, General Thornius - 74th General of the Legions of Hell. The Immense and powerful Devil General is ancient in years, and has large amounts of influence in the regions of hell. His name is known across the Hells, his name is even known across the mortal planes apon Amia. He was the largest and most dangerouse threat ever to rise in the lands.
General Thornius in the earlier times of the universe led constant battles in the blood war, victories piling to his side. But as the centuries past on . . . Thornius grew more impatient with the other Generals, as he didnt truly see the Abyss forces as the real threat. . .
Thornius's eyes were set on the Gates of Heaven, to collapse and utterly wipe out the planes of the heavens. Angels were the true enemies in his eyes, not demons. With sucess after sucess in the blood wars, Thornius's influence in the hells was increasing , his armies were growing. Soon enough, Thornius declared his armies and divisions thier own faction of Hell, the Legions of Thornii. Still loyal to the forces of Hell, Thornius now begun to head towards the enemy he saw as the true goal of his conquest.
Soon enough he begun to wage war apon the planes of heaven, destroying several Celestial worlds in his wake. Finally the seventh celestial world he had confronted, he begun waging war apon. The Celestial Queen apon the world knew immediatly something had to be done to stop the General or they would reach thier goal in extinguishing the planes of heaven. In a desprete attempt, the Queen and followers carefully constructed and built a mighty shield of defense and justice, a Holy Shield in which to defy Thornius's will and destruction. Thornius himself wielded weapons of immense power - His Hellflame Sword of the Thornii legions. This sword was created and forged by the Twisted ones themselves, serving under Thornius's will.
Finally the final battle occured on the Celestial world in where Thornius and the Queen went into combat, but what neither knew was what would happen when Thornius's sword and the Queen's shield were to meet - And it did happen. When it occured, a immense explosion erupted and destroyed the entire Celestial world, along with the queen - but her sacrifice was not lost. Thornius's body was destroyed, and his essence was trapped in the now empty plane - his essence was trapped in a empty prison. His soldiers and armies were destroyed, thier souls being trapped in giant crystals for thousands of years in the planes of hell.
Over 8600 Years had passed since that occurance, until the date in which the story of Thornius's location was discovered by Third High General Mirkov. In secrecy, Mirkov believed the victory in the Axis Republic was to bring forth a perfect General . . and Already mirkov had constructed a perfect mechanical suit in which to do this purpose - His problem was he needed a fuel source so powerful enough to fuel the suit. He learnt the location of Thornius's essence, and released the Devil's essence into the suit, to be trapped within the suit like a Geenie in its bottle, to server under the Emperors command. But Mirkov did not exactly ~Tell~ The Emperor a Devil was being used in the suit.
Soon enough, it was discovered, and Mirkov's mind was comletley wiped out and was to never again be allowed to think free will without some sort of monitiring. As for Thornius, the Devil knew his releasement was at hand - and tricked a woman by the name of Lady Jiharu to dsetroy his suit.
In which she thought he was destroyed, it was only a trick, she destroyed the suit in which had Thornius sealed and containted within. He was then finally free after 8600 years, and obtained his ancient body and true form. Thornius soon enough begun to gather influence and his lost military power quickly back.
In a even worse occurance later on, Chaos Priests begun a ritual in the forests of amia in secrecy, believing they could release thier chaos gods into the mortal world, they created a ritual. Though as chaos does - it did not work as they intended - the ritual instead opened a small gateway to hell. Quickly though , a Druid by the name of Kakashi quickly destroyed the portal , hoping that no devils came out. But one did.
It was Thornius himself, and now was walking on the soil of mortal man. He now had the ability to plane hop from Mortal planes back to hell on whim. And with that ability, Thornius begun to influence the lands of amia , and it is BECAUSE of Thornius, the Horde was formed. Finding groups of hobgoblins apon thier own , Thornius quickly rounded them up together, banning them under one flag, and telling them the times of human hunters was coming to a end, it was time for the Races to strike back against the Human foes. They saw Thornius as a god and savior, and blindly followed him. Soon enough, Hobgoblin masses were reported, and this was the First stage of the horde. They begun waging non stopping warfare with Cordor and the Druid grove.
Worried about how increansing Thornius's wicked presence was, all of the humans in the lands banned together to form a elite group in which to try and stop General Thornius.
The Battle was immense, and was consisted of all of the greatest hero's in the land - the Battle raged as they lured General Thornius into a epic fight. Thier weapons did nothing, many fell to the General himself as he was immensly powerful. but thier plan went through, and Lady Floriane fired a specialized Arrow imbued with a powerful soul crystral at its head, the arrow striked in Thornius's Right eye, sealing the Devil inside.
That was Thornius's fall, but it was believed that his presence was to finally end in amia, but it only worsened in his death - The Horde is stronger then ever, and they now worship Thornius as a God in his death, they believe he is a higharchy and savior, the true God of the Horde.
