*A simple, crude sign has been placed in the Amian Frontier, inscribed with a short and concise message that reads;*

"As long as the City of Cordor offers refugee to the heretic, criminal and traitor which is Katsumi Aers, effectively allowing her to escape the righteous punishment and reprecussions which will be inflicted upon her due to her crimes and betrayal... I, Lord Darthion Illys, Dread Inquisitor of Bane, will murder anyone who travels to or from the City of Cordor.

The Black Hand has grown tired of the City's leniency towards criminals and vile chaotic beasts, and will now take grim and highly unfortunate measures to ensure that Order can be maintained.

Katsumi was given the oppportunity to redeem herself, by paying a forgiving debt to the Church of Bane, but has now seemingly decided to act against this kind offer of redemption.

Until Katsumi either pays her debt, or the City of Cordor throws the whore out, innocents who try to visit or leave the City of Cordor will be murdered on sight.

A letter joins the sign, tacked up by a shadowy figure.

I don't go to Cordor. You leave them alone.

I'll give you two million to leave off. That's all you're going to see for a long, long time if you don't drop the price; I simply can't afford more, and no one but my Master has offered to aid me.

Hearing the gossip in the street, and thinking that the Carters Guild and the Guard have no doubt already heard of this threat to travel on the roads, Xaviera nevertheless makes the suggestion that perhaps a unit of Cordor's elite forces might find this a useful training exercise.
