Just to confirm, Aertheca (a 10 hak server) server shut down recently and some of those new players I've encouraged to set up on Amia. I think I've seen two or three at least move to Amia.
I've noticed that we've not had the same leaving/quit rate we were getting only a few months back so those older player who have had enough, have now left.
There are lots of new faces over the previous few months that I've not seen before but due to the loss from earlier times, we're not yet on a recovery?
However, in regards to HAKs, the fact is, the more you have, the less players you get but it does have less griefers and hackers and it also does attract quality, rather than quantity, if they can work out whether or not its worth joining in the first place.
The 10 Hak downloads + CEP they had for Aertheca, killed Aertheca off I think. So one small HAK is probably okay, more is likely to drive potential new players away.

Which reminds me, once I get the time(hopefully after this week), I'll see if I can put a blurb post about us on the Bioware forums. Just giving people an overview of the server and telling folk that may know us we've gone HAK. Likely will attract some folk to the forum, and as well a few that will download the HAKs and try us out.
Anyone who has more free time than an engineering college student(read: a lot of people), feel free to beat me to the punch on this one, though.

You should indeed do such a thing. Don't forget the Amia entry on the Vault. Nice reviews do attract people.

I had a huge morass of slavering RP lovers ready to join but they all wanted to be ninjas....(sulk).

O, but I didn't take the usual katanas away? You can still be a toy boy in black pyjamas.

There's no shield colour option. Didn't even know it exists.
Most weapons come in the usual 4 colour variations.
I've seen the colour thing done on CEP servers, but can't find the individual hak so eh.
So any chance the appropriate matching pieces for feet and hands will be added at a later date?

Nopes, it would involve a lot of changes and a lot of work.

By the by; the new HAKs are great and it would appear that good new players are still coming in. Also, sulky older players are still returning.
EDIT: We have pimp hats but no kimono!

That hat with the big feather is *everywhere*...
It is pretty cool, but it's almost already cliche.

Latest fashion trend to hit Amia. . . .possibly affecting the giant chicken population with all the feather plucking. But then, if it's the mean chickens that eat the cows outside of Cordor, kudos.
But trends are trends! And fashion is fashion! No matter how tired you get of seeing skinny jeans.
