Is it possible to get the hak files in TGA format? It seems this has been the reason for all the new stuff being completely white to me, since my computer is too poop to be able to handle the DDS files.

I'd say give it more time to find out if it's viable.

Changing the file's format isn't going to help you.In fact, it will make it worse since the game is looking for .hak files not .tga. A different format (the correct format no less .hak) isn't going to be what's causing your problems.

TGA files and DDS are completely different.

DDS contain mipmap information, as well as image information for surfaces and textures for direct-x.

TGA files cannot support that. TGA is basically used as a texture wrap.

If anything this suggests you need to update/check your directx installs for corruption.

I think you can actually export dds as tga and put the resulting files in override. Which tilesets give you issues?

Sometimes the Hak bugs and when you re-log in after a reset all your hak items will be white.

Exit the game, re-enter it, should fix it.

On another slightly related note.
Disco, would you let me create some new textures for some of those sheilds? Some have really nice models, but the textures are god aweful. Espically near the end with the wooden/brick ones and the aweful metallic border on them.

Which reminds me...

Some of the new armor pieces, sometimes, when you craft them, when you are done you cannot move your characters with the keyboard commands, only the mouse.

It fixes itself by logging out and then relogging, though.

Just thought you should know. I know of at least one more person that had the same problem.

Thank you for every ones input.

I tried the DirectX thingy and updated it, but to no gain.

Right now it is only textures from the new hak that are appearing all white to me. The reason I suggested TGA was because I did the override fix for the 1.69 update to fix those textures, and thought this may work the same way.

Well, if you give a few specific things that don't show up I can mail you a few tga versions.

Okay, ummmm, the walls, ceiling, and floors inside the new temple. All the large shield models after the the black kite with a yellow line through it.

The sky, the earth, my legs, my head, my arms xD

I'm seeing a pattern here. Something tells me that the HAK you downloaded was corrupted. Don't use any download manager programs to download it and try again. Also download only the .Rar version.
