Races of Faerûn is the place to look, also look up on amiawiki, I think I wrote a bit down there as well.
Regardless, Evermeet is baiscally an elven paradise created by high magic though the cost of this great spell was horrible, though Evermeet is in many ways an elven Utopia where humans bare a few rare exceptions are not allowed to even look at.

When?
She was killed once, maybe even twice, in our timeline. Gareth Dragonsbane's crew killed her in the planes most recently, but she's since returned through the dragon king of Unther, Tchazzar (or whatever), killing all the other dragons that harbored her aspect and cominbed them all, which allowed her to gain foothold in the Realms again.
Or something. It's very confusing. Her history goes back a good while, though, and it's not quite clear when she's had an influence in the Realms and when she hasn't. But she's a multiworld deity, which means that being slain in and blocked from the Realms doesn't affect her manifestations in other worlds where she can try to enter the Realms again. I suppose. This is the bottom line of Ed's musings on the matter, IIRC.

Either way, she has returned in the recent years/decades, and her cult is growing in influence and numbers in Unther. She is primarily worshiped by humans, I reckon, despite what some sources say. Of course dragons, too, but her cult is specifically a human organization.

Wait,so in FR, is she or isn't she the sister of Bahamut?
I thought they had been fighting even before Unther, and Bahamut was Marduk or something.

That might be speculated. I don't know if Marduk and Tiamat were ever siblings, though. That's new to me.
But yes: Tiamat is originally an Untheric deity/monster that came with the rest. She killed Marduk. Bahamut has only appeared in the Realms very recently, and was originally probably just a dragon. Very confusing that, too, and lots of conflicting lore I think. Either way, Bahamut may be Marduk but there's no strong evidence to suggest it. Marduk is supposed to be dead if you ask WotC. I like to think it's him, though.

Sometimes i think the authors are just making things up to mess with us, not to advance the plot.

Tiamat was a real god, and both Greyhawk AND Forgotten Realms preempted the name. The Draconomicon doesn't outright say its Greyhawk, but it does mention Ehlonna and how Tiamat is from the Deities and Demigods book, which is most definitely Greyhawk. I think the Amian goddess is the two versions combined which is somewhat confusing.
Doesn't help that the Amia wiki is only the Greyhawk version, which mentions gods that are banned from Toril by Ao.

I doubt the designers are messing with us on purpose, but they indeed aren't always quite up to date on things. Understandable, I suppose, considering the sheer volume of Realmslore and the number of game designers and freelance authors who've worked on the Realms.
Tiamat in 3e Faiths & Pantheons came to be identified more as a dragon goddess, and the Untheric background was downplayed. Bahamut was pulled from obscurity into the forefront of Realmslore. Both this was in keeping with the core/Greyhawk Draconomicon but not with earlier Realmslore. While there may not have been outright contradictions, the whole flavor and idea seems to have changed between editions. But then, region-specific books are still quite conscious about Tiamat's role as a human goddess in Unther.
All in all, I'd chalk it up to designer desire to be closer to core D&D and/or ignorance of previous FR lore. The latter happens from time to time even to the best of Realms experts, I've noticed.

We do it quite a bit here as well .We use the more readily identifiable Core cosmology vs the Great Tree cosmology.

Funky question about Mythalforges.
The GP cost is meant to represent some sort of Arcane reagents being used in the Mythalling process, is that correct?

I typically took it is part arcane reagents cost, part fee that pays for the forge's maintenance and upkeep.
Could be wrong.

From what I understand about the strange history of tiamat she only died once the second time she was killed by those adventures it was an imposter one of her great grandchildren. Also I must agree that i think Marduk is an aspect of bahamut. That sacraficed himself to keep tiamat from killing some other untheric deity.

You have the book The Grand History of the Realms, Iron. Go take a look. There are timelines there speaking about Tiamat.
I am too lazy to do it myself, otherwise I would make a post here about it. ^^;

Been trying to learn more lore on beholders, etc. so I can write up something on Tulip. Found some sources, aka FR wiki, D&D wiki, but couldn't find much on how they reproduce and live as groups other than some vague references to a great mother and it being horrific. Anyone know more than I can find?

I'm trying to figure out what a "Mimic" is ...you know, Like the chest at the pirate.
What are they? Why do they turn into furniture and stuff? Are they like boggarts in harry potter?
And foremost; Are they request material?

quoted from D&D wiki
Quote: The mimic appears in the Monster Manual (2000) for the game's third edition. In this edition, the mimic is given the aberration creature type. This book describes mimics as "strange and deadly creatures that can change their pigmentation and shape. They use this ability to lure hapless victims close enough to slay." This book notes that a weapon striking a mimic becomes stuck to the creature's thick, slimy adhesive, though the weapon can be pried off. In this edition, a mimic can assume the general shape of any object that fills roughly 150 cubic feet.[12] The mimic also appears in the revised Monster Manual (2003) for edition 3.5. This book notes that a mimic begins to crush any creature which becomes stuck to one of the mimic's psuedopods.[13]

There's a few furniture models available as skins. They're not PC material, but maybe summon material.
Love the fact that it says "psuedopods" in that quote, hehe.

Hum. I'm worried that the quote bacterie showed states that mimics are evil aligned...
That's troublesome for a Good aligned Toon.
Next question tho; is there any spells that would create life to ...well...furniture?

Probably, but it would not have sentience. magic brooms cleaning the halls by themselves are a classic in fantasy. Yet I wouldn't expect the broom to hold a conversation with me.
Mimics are not animated objects. They are a to some extent shapechangers who assume the appearance of chests full of loot to lure their next meal. Much like carnivorous plants.

Merrien:
On Beholders - The Great Mother is the Goddess of the Beholders, she's quite insane, and very dominate over her kin. Not much to be found on her, other then she's crazy, and controlling.
As for beholder reproduction, it is never explained. But, if you read more into them, you learn they are very xenophobic, to the point that if even the size on their central eye differs from another clan, they can be sworn enemies.
This leads me to think that the only what they reproduce is asexually, maybe smaller beholders bud off from the larger ones at a certain time, or if they lose an eye stalk, that stalk itself can grow into a new beholder, like a starfish. This would therefore create a beholder with the same make-up as the parent, so it could be accepted to the clan. Any beholders that show mutations are likely outcastes or killed.
That's my best guess, but I don't remember ever reading about how they reproduce, maybe that will help.

Animated Objects from the Monster Manual (3.5, admittedly) have 0 int. Keep in mind that your pet dog has 2-3 INT.
The ones from the Sorcerer's Apprentice might be a bit TOO smart.

Actually, IIRC, Beholders aren't asexual. In fact, their tongue doubles as a sexual organ. Now you know why Beldor has Luma lick people he doesn't particulary care for... Anyway, they reproduce sexually and have genders(not sure if they ever change though, imagine they could). Sexual reproduction is the basis of genetics, and thereby genetic traits that make some beholders look "different" from the rest of the clan. And of course, like you said, then they get kicked out and/or killed.
In addition, Beholders have what could be called a "split mind". Every beholder is schizophrenic in other words. They have two distinct "voices" in their head(body?) that fight for control, which causes Beholders as a race to naturally be jumpy, suspicious, paranoid, and all together xenophobic. Not every beholder is an exactly 50/50 split though and there are sometimes a personality that is more dominant than the other. I RPed this with Beldor's familiar, in which Beldor eventually was able to help his runty beholder surpress one of his personalities. He still refers to him as Luma-Shukal sometimes though, Luma(morti) being the dominant one, Shukal being the one supressed.
Edit: Also, there are "sane" beholders. They still have two different minds, but they act and share everything as one, so they're not distrusting of each other. Usually though, they are seen as crazy and different by the others though and get tossed out or killed with the rest of the different beholders.

Largely incorrect. I don't know where the "tongue is a dick" rumor started but it's not.
Direct quote. Lords of Madness, "Eye Tyrants", anatomy; reproductive system. I doubt there is any FR specific lore to supercede this.
The split minds bit is correct, though.

I think he meant an actuall Beholder race. "Beholderkin" refers to a slew of abberations that resemble beholders like the Eyeball familiar, not a hybrid or something.
I could see a Beholder mage(and with it, it's model) being a PC. They put out their central eye that manhandles magic so they can learn and cast arcane spells. The whole central eye thing is kinda too hax to put in the hands of a PC IMO, and that option avoids it. But of course, I am no DM.

Does sound like asexual reproduction, still with the tongue (and might I say: yaaaaaeeaarrggghhhh!) since it doesn't seem to talk about a sexual partner at all.
I am pretty sure there was a beholder PC ages ago, back when I played previously. I seem to recall that, though vaguely. Dunno if the powers that be want to do that or not, though.
I will try to incorporate the 2 minds into Tulip a bit, although he (I know he/she/it are a bit up in the air here now, but I think since they seem asexual, it wouldn't matter to Tulip what pronoun was used) is of the sane variety.
Thanks so much for the info! Very helpful.

okay i just finished reading those books about the war of the zulkirs in thay.
It occured to me that you don't hear much about sorcerers becoming liches. why not?
i mean after a sorcerer learns to control his magic and willing it into being isn't it possible for them to learn the one of the processes to becomming a lich(my take is there are many different ways of becoming one)?
another thought on that line is which (and this i purely conjecture) would be more powerful? i mean would a wizard who'm learned the art of spellcraft and then in turn learned of one of the ways to become a lich be?
What about a sorcer who'm after learning to control his innate magic decided he wanted to become a lich and did so one way or another.
Wouldn't that mean he is quite possible equally as learned as said wizard?
just something to chew on i want to hear your thoughts.

Wizards, sorcs, clerics and bards all meet the requirements for lichdome, since you were reading on Thay, and wizards being the dominate force there, there is no surprise they mention only one the most powerful liches in great detail.
I know there are npc liches of all 4 of the classes I mentioned, but I'm not home to reference anything.

I wonder, Must you be a sorcerer or Wizard to archive lichdoom?
I know there's bane-liches, and baelnorms...
But the most common class seems to be a spellcaster of HIGH power

Depends on the dogma. Do not confuse "Divine" with "Good" as is often done by some. Velsharoon is certainly a god that encourages undeath and its study. Kiaransalee is another god of undeath. There are pleny of deities and divine entities that promote undeath, both its creation and use by their servants, thus clerics get create undead, control/rebuke undead, control undead, etc.
I could see a few gods actually smiling on a cleric that extends their life on Toril so they can serve their deity and do its will for a longer time. The vast majority of them non-good aligned, however.

Clerics, wizards and sorcerers can all become liches. Bards should be able to as well, especially since Adepts are apparently able to, at least in Libris Mortis (I think).

A lich singing... Must sound horrible. I mean, the vocal cords are either dried up or have rotten...

But imagine if they play an instrument ... millennia to become a true master. Although you'd hope it's not a wind one.

Would be rather difficult for a Beholder to reproduce in the traditional sense, as they would kill each other on sight. Each Beholder thinks it is the perfect creation of the Great Mother

Horrible? Horribly awesome! That would make for the coolest Black Metal or Death Metal vocalist! [/OT]

Need info on Beholderkin; I've done the wiki-rounds and as yet have not found the creature I'm remembering. A small (5ft tall) bi-ped creature with two arms. It's torso is occupied by one central (benign) eye and a loose liped and toothy maw.
The cratures are supposed to be a tribal Underdark 'race' which favors spears as a weapon and stays the hell away from other beholders. What are they!?!
