Description(s) of involved: Blonde Elven female, wears all black clothing.
Description of events: First came into the Dale wearing a hood claiming to be a "Thief of Hugs." When asked to remove her hood she didn't seem to notice and ran after a crowd of people after they left the Dale. She returned, and when told to pull her hood down, she claimed her hair was messy. A friend of hers was quick to offer a hairband to fix the problem.
She returned to the Dale soon after and started talking with Captain Swift and myself. During this conversation she repeatedly claimed that she was evil and a thief, despite the fact that she was obviously not.
Militia reaction/other details: Told the offender to leave because she was "evil." Although very talkative, she complied on her final warning. On an added note, the elf seems to have the intellegence of a child. Do "not" use unessary force out of annoyance.

Description of events: An elf summoned a demon on Dale lands. These two bastards say it is their jurisdiction. Eventually just got them to leave. Jaocim quietly defended them the entire time.
Militia reaction/other details: Got them to leave with the summoner. I told them all to kindly find a reason not to return to the Dale. Jaocim asked if I meant him as well, and I told him that was his decision. I'm not going to be 'hospitable' to a traitor.

Attention All Dale Militia,
Due to the increase of hostile occurrences surrounding our territory, as well as the regular disturbances within the Dale, a call to the militia is being issued. Each of us swore to protect Bendir Dale and its inhabitants with our lives, and the declaration of war between the War Knights and the followers of Bane calls for our attention to defend our lands.
This is an order for all members of the militia to make their shifts frequent and attentive to keep our friends and loved ones protected from threats. You should give written notice to an officer of the militia if you take up a shift that was quiet and didn't require a report of any sort to be made (and if no officer saw you on duty at the time).
Note, this is NOT an order to take part in this war. Captain Swift and the Council are still talking over the Dale's official stance. Until and unless a position is decided, the militia will continue to defend our lands and people without getting officially involved. Banites are still banned and considered kill on sight on our lands, as always.

Since we have a brand new, shiny forum, I figured it's a good time to clean up things (specifically, our large numbers of ignored stickies). I just wanted to run it past the Bendir players first to see if anyone had strong objections or suggestions for this.
I plan to un-Sticky the Militia Roster, the Harley topic (since they have their own place in PC Stories for now), and the Bendir Bugle (which has been shut down anyway). I'd also planned to get a cleaner version of the Bendir Library thread so it's just links to hin-related books...or maybe to the new Library forum (not erasing the other posts, but splitting them) so the Stickies stay clean (more or less).
So, objections, comments, other topics you think should be Stickied? I'd like to actually clean things up no later than next Monday (April 12, 2010), so please tell me your thoughts/feelings before then.

I think splitting up the library and moving it to the library forum would be useful, although when I was looking through the big book of small folk there are some things in there that might be considered OOC information and so I'm not sure if it belongs in the library.

Name(s) of offender(s): Unknown Hin. Never met this one before. I got a brief look at him and a description from a human named Joolashka Jixx Nareth.
Description(s) of offender(s): Young Male Hin with short cropped light brown hair wearing commoners clothing.
Offense and location: Near the Carts along the main road outside the town gate. Accused a human male named Aabott Longarm of being a Banite. His companion, Miss Nareth, a Hoarite, took grave offense to this seemingly baseless accusation and began pursuing said Hin who had run off after making the accusation in the direction of Amia Forest. I explained to the aggrieved that this was Dale lands and our Laws would be upheld regardless of the race of the accused and explained that our jurisdiction extends beyond the town walls to the surrounding lands. Given the current "situation", such rash, inflammatory, and from my inquiry baseless, accusations risk immediate violence and bloodshed against the accused. The human male exhibited no Banite affiliations or tendencies and from my position the accusation seemed based purely on his selection of robe coloration. I did in fact hear the accusation spoken by said Hin as I approached the group, just before he ran off. The complainants also stated he was begging for "donations" for a "church" but I did not witness this.
Punishment: If apprehended I recommend a hard days work scrubbing bed pans and an extended time with a bar of soap in his filthy mouth to learn his lesson. He was not apprehended during my shift as he slipped into the Forest before I could ascertain whether the accusation was baseless or valid.
Other details: *a rough sketch of his face* //alert and sharp eyed militia meeting a "Roppi Balboa" may recognize him if they get a good look. Use your own judgement.

*With a bright flash of blue and green fire that engulfs her, she shifts into her silver wyrmling form. With a strong flap of her wings she flys up to the top of town hall and looks around. Satisfied that the view gives her a very good look of not just all of the town, but above the gate and nearby areas, she makes her perch. Watching out over the dale until she finds she needs to sleep, at which she stays up top of the hall staying in her wrymling form.*

Upon noticing the heightened level of alert //though likely not seeing the actual post as she's not militia// in the Dale, Marigold Hill turns to her nearby hawk and mutters in hin: "Though I'm new here and not militia, I think we should stick a bit more nearby and see if we can help out!"
The small druid taps her staff to the ground and registers a room at the Hin Inn once more.

Description of events: Seen battling in the hills to the south, near the orc lands. One especially powerful shapeshifter killed and wounded several of the combatants before moving off to the south. Some of the casualties were brought into the Dale for healing.
Militia reaction/other details: I took up station in battle dress near the town gates and prepared to defend the folk. One armoured human who acted as if in charge was asked to stand down his fighters while in Dale lands. He complied.

Perhaps, but the only reason there are so many stickies is because the Militia has so many. Some of those could be combined together.

Nina's militia badge and a letter addressed to Kina are left on the Captain's desk. The letter is sealed with Nina's crest: A Gold Dragon and a Red Dragon at odds with one another in the form of a flame. Quote: Swift,
I don't believe I'll be able to handle another outburst of Elves ignoring our sovereignty. As such, for my own sanity, and with a heavy heart, I am stepping down from my post. I am unsure for how long this will be, but I cannot abide Elven arrogance in our lands any longer. At some point last night, Grin and Rikku were seen leading a large green-and-black spider to the Dale graveyard. The spider was carrying a corpse of another giant spider. The living spider unshifted to display Blade and the corpse was incinerated in the graveyard.
Much later, an exhausted-looking Blade lead Rikku back to the Hinn Inn and proceeded to get privately drunk.
Blade remains in the Dale and regularly around, though she remains quieter than normal (though quicker to defend specific hin).

With Lieutenant Planewalker Swift's permission, a rough hammock (made of what looks like spiderweb) is left in the upper branches of the tree next to Kibs' hut. The white material of the hammock is easily noticeable, but besides an occasional movement in the shadows (except for those who are most sharp-eyed), nothing can be seen.

Rikku defiantly notices the hammock and after a brief fly over to see what's up, she returns to her perch on top of town hall. Throughout the day the silver wyrmling will glance in the direction of the webs, nodding occasionally to any shadow that seems to move around in them.

A lone flier is put up inside the Town Hall, seemingly with the intent it be open to all
For The Public Knowledge:
Frin, former priestess of Urogalan, defected to Bane at some point in recent history. She revealed this when she betrayed two hin and friends of the Dale along with her Banite allies. I conducted a private investigation, eventually finding her and getting her to confess to all her crimes. We met once more fifty paces from the gates of Bendir Dale and did battle. After her defeat, she was captured, relocated out of Dale jurisdiction, interrogated, given a chance to surrender and executed when she refused. She's been given proper burial and funeral somewhere out in the wilderness. I will not say where for many reasons. May she be enlightened to the error of her ways.

For a few days now, headless bodies can be seen floating down the river, or just piles of dust, but most recently, the intact bodies of Vashart, a Aasimir, and a couple days after Set Thel'hur, a wood elf can be seen floating by the river near Bendir Dale.

Any bodies (or parts of bodies) found in or near the river or Crag borders are to be taken to the Salandran Temple so they can be properly healed and either raised or buried.
No militia are to go into the Crags alone. If you must go there, travel with at least two militia or citizens who are highly experienced in their field of study.
Banites are still--and will remain--kill on sight if any cross onto our land.

Name(s) of involved: Roppi, Mynna, Peter Meadowlark
Descriptions(s) of involved: Hin, Taller (female), Hin. They are all known persons here.
Description of events:On entering the town square I noted that Roppi was dripping wet from head to toe. On investigation it was reported that he was thrown into the well by the taller known as Mynna. This act was witnessed by Peter Meadowlark. It was further reported by Peter that Roppi's crude and inconsiderate behaviour toward the visitor prompted the incident. Roppi contends he only said "hello". Subsequent investigation yielded the knowledge that Roppi is either a con artist, pathological liar, or simply too dimwitted to know reality from fantasy.
Militia reaction/other details:
Actions already taken:
- I cast a Divine Blessing upon the well water to remove any taint.
- A stern warning administered to Roppi not to let his loose tongue cause incidents in the square that might result in damage to the well.
- I searched for Mynna in the vicinity but was unable to locate her.
Actions needed:
Mynna should be admonished and instructed to, in the event of future need, only throw Roppi directly into the creek or river, never into the well.

I'm not in the Militia, but leaving this note for any interested parties as a civic duty to the Dale.
Name(s) of involved: Mage named "Tyd" (?), Godo the Goblin, unknown hooded and cloaked male taller-humansized, unknown kobold, unknown cloaked elven-sized woman
Description(s) of involved: Mage had a flaming scythe; male taller was in grey hood and cloak, elven sized woman called him "Tyd" which is how I got his name; she was wearing dark hood and cloak as well; because I was struck down too, I'm a bit hazy on the other details other than what I gleaned after I was raised.
Description of events: This mage the others called Tyd had a large pink dragon with him and in the midst of fighting the goblin. male taller, and kobold, did summon a powerful firey magic spell //hellball// up the hill outside the gates of the Dale, striking down myself, another hin named Hortus (spelling?), as well as a few other taller passersby. Thankfully, someone raised and healed our bodies.
Militia reaction/other details: Johanna Hardingdale came in at the end of the events so can vouch for my story as well. I asked the mage to take the dragon and the spells farther from the village. He only complied after being very defensive and asking if I knew who he was, and asking if I was commanding him, and after he struck down a male taller in a hooded outfit I had seen with the kobold earlier that day, saying that he was now "done." I would like to point out that it was not "Tyd" who raised me and the other fallen, but someone who came along later. I'm not sure exactly who did it. Again, after such a powerful knocking out, my mind is fuzzy on details other than these given, but thought the militia should know what happened.

The Amia Forest is being threatened again. The Banites have claimed it as Banes domain and have brought war to the protectors of the Forest. This means that our Hin lands of Bendir Dale are now twice surrounded by Banites if they are to win this fight. We can't allow this. For the good of Bendir Dale and for the Good of the Forest. The Forest is free, not to be owned by anyone. The Forest Father, Silvanus wills is and the Green Sister, Sheela Peryroyl wills it, as do the many true faiths of nature. The Banites have gone too far, yet again. They will feel the wrath of nature for it. Let's make them feel the wrath of the Hinfolk as well. For the Mother, for the Green Sister, for our race!

Although sparse of late, being absorbed in his meditation at the monastery, after the appearance of the note Ukre can now regularly be found on recon patrol around the Dale or aiding the militia drillmaster in training the troops.

A familiar Lycanthrope walks into the Dale, leaving a massive tree and a Dire Wolf outside of the town, with a sad face and a burnt, and partly eaten, body of Peter Meadowlark. She unshifts and hands him over to Jayek so that he can perhaps be saved by a cleric. Willow would sprinkle holy water on the corpse before leaving again. She would however tell Jayek that it was the Banites who did it.

We are being dragged into a war that is not ours, but our town and the innocents here might soon come under threat because of it. To this end, I ask for all citizen and resident opinions regarding war with the Banites.
You have five days to submit your opinions either under this notice or in a note penned to me. Then the Council and officers of the Dale militia will meet to discuss what action should be taken. We will do everything in our power to keep the innocents safe and to do the right thing for the Dale.
