There is one live dragon I know off and one well alive something but very far from pure dragon state to my knowledge.

Ohh, a dragon question! I like this! There are a few dragons and "dragon-like beings" Imperator is probably the most famous across Amia. In life he was a super, super old Silver Dragon given the "Platinum" honorific. He was slain in the very publicized battle of Wyrmhold against Infernus, a massive Red and the leader of the Dark Flight of Tiamat. He is still "alive" as a guardian spirit and currently resides in Kohlingen. This sort of information would be very generla and could easily be learned by most any Amian who wanted to learn. Morningdew and Rockhopper and names that those familiar and living in Kohlingen might know about, but have not been seen for a very long time. The old Oakmist Vale would also be familiar with Rockhopper. Rockhopper is a Copper and Morningdew is a Brass. There is also Windreaper, an insane Blue who has turned CE from his old alignment LE due to his stay in the Abyss. He is absolutely insane and there are rumors he is sustained solely by the sort of hateful flow of energy that permeates the Abyss itself. There is also the Scientific Dragon who lives in Forrstakkr. I'm not sure how much of Forrstakkr knows about dear Rosalinde. That would be Disco's territory. There is also a Skeletal Dragon.... somewhere....

There was a green in Forest of Despair; Forest Gloom; killed in the purge of Dragons and what not by the Defenders of Kohlingen years ago; if I recall correctly.

The Green (that one anyways) never made it to Kohl. She was killed by Infernus because she refused to work with them. The Blue in the desert, the boss one PCs could fight, was named Baulg. He never made it either, because Stormwhisper, the actual Blue in the Dark Flight, killed him for being insubordinate. viewtopic.php?f=38&t=18061

thats alot to take in, ok, I wrote a rough list of whats been said, and the currently alive dragons are: Rockhopper (Copper) and Morningdew (Brass) Windy (??) Windreaper the crazy one (Blue, seams like a relevant choice) The skeletal one I do have one idea though it will require dm's, the aformentioned dragon eggs in the spires, if the passage of time has not removed them from the current story. just found an amazing link: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/dragonTrue.htm , according to that both rockhopper and morningdew are CG alignment, and I remember blues are nuts from the 1st ed manuals

If your character is a new arrival to the island, the only dragon he could reasonably learn about is Imperator or Windreaper.

new arrival but the brother lives in cordor, on the rivers anyways, and i dont see why the father, digging for a rare ore wouldnt have come across said dragon...i think i can work with that starting to despise kobolds aswell so the rp is playing well. level 5 now also. another lore springs to mind, someone IC made it clear as to the origins of the sewer zombies, and ooc, a certain "useless" chest on a beach springs to mind, pirates of the carribean much

On Roadwardens: What is publicly known about them? I didn't find anything on the wiki, nor in the libraries in game I have visited. I get as much as that they watch the roads and try to keep them clear of dangers, but anything else? And how are theyr organised? And most importantly; can a PC become a Roadwarden?

the blue one tomak, i know nothing about skeletal dragons, and the metallics are not likely to merc a miner off for no reason.
.....there are road guards now? how much they get payed cause i just died on a pretty well used path, last thing i saw was that linguist dude surrounded by kobolds.
sounds like a good way to RP an armed escort squad for some lucky minted character, you wanna be a roadwarden like that, make a faction and bamb, 100,000 crowns a trip O_o or not, i suppose it would depend on destination and risk. still, more fun than paying the npcs for a magic instantaneous trip. imo.

I believe the Roadwardens are followers of Shaundakul. And, they don't get paid for performing their duties. Instead they get the gratitude of their god for protecting paths of exploration for others.

There's only a little bit known about the Roadwardens. I'd get some DM help IG to talk to them if I were you. Might be cool. Also, a few PC's have had a decent amount of contact with some of them so asking around would be good too.

I don't quite know if this goes here but I didn't want to make a whole new topic for it. Is Lurue supported by the deity system/worshippable ingame? I see her on the Deity Rings list but not the Idols list so I wanted to make sure. If she is, does she grant spells to druids? And if she's not.. why?

Nope, no Lurue idol or deity system support, unfortunately. None of the servants of Silvanus and his daughters (Mielikki & Eldath) are supported with the deity system. You can still worship any of them though. Lurue does indeed support Druids. ::nods:: She's very close to Mielikki and Nobanion, being Mielikki's exclusive mount and sharing a love for beasts with Nobanion.

The deity system doesn't determine what you can worship, at all. It's the other way around: what you worship determines what's included in the deity system. There are perhaps a hundred or more deities in Forgotten Realms, monster pantheons and demigods included, so there's no point in including them all. More are added when PCs worship them and the players ask for an idol. Forgotten Realms deities of the appropriate timeline (3e, the 1370s) are all canon on Amia, plus Salandra (and the saint Nabessa, but I'm not sure if she supports Divine Champions or such, and you'd certainly need to ultimately worship her own master deity).

This was already answered here, but I still wish to know more about it.
Moonweed, said to be used to prevent unwanted pregnancy in the realms.
Gers mentioned that a NPC in Cordor has that info on a random scripted convo and that he used it once IC when surprising a couple that were in a very... well... hot moment.
Do any of you know if there is an actual official source of information about this Moonweed and how it works?
I tried Candlekeep forums but.. boy... Ed Greenwood's threads have at least 80 pages each and I am too lazy to look all of them up for this information.
Shame on me, I know, but I need this information for the PnP campaign I am playing. It is not related to my RP on Amia.

No idea, nothing came up on Google.
There is, however, a herb that disables hard-ons and any lust men would feel. That's pretty much the opposite of what you're asking, I guess, but it should do the job well enough. >_> It's in Swords of Eveningstar, one of the first chapters.

Well, the scripted convo is something like "I got some moonweed from the old witch in the forest, and the next morning her parents never even knew!" or something like that. So I'd assume it operates like a morning-after pill. Beyond that, I'd ask Disco. I think he did the scripted convos.

Moonweed just sounds like a generic fantasy contraceptive to me. I did try to look it up in detail a while ago, but couldn't find information anywhere.

There isn't anything in BoEF about Moonweed. They do mention a distillation of herbs that are 95% efficient at stopping pregnancy for 4d6+6 days, and a triple dose acts as an abortive. You also need to make a fortitude save against a piddling amount of damage if you use it as an abortive. But I'd be very careful about using anything in that book tbh. And I couldn't find anything about Moonweed in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting.

Damnit...
My DM will have to trust my word, then. xD
She did say it might be a chance the stupid tea will fail. That campaign is going to get interesting very soon.

I don't think I saw it asked or answered, but out of curiosity, just how much control over their appearance do shifters get over their own form as well as the ones they change into (as in minor color variations, etc. - not pimping out the dire tiger form with gold-plated teeth and spinners)?
I'm assuming the DC/rp reward wands and such cover it, but since there's no real DnD equivalent, I'm not sure what to go off of for it.

A Shifter can control the basic variable characteristics of a form it take, as long as they fall within natural, normal parameters.
Example, a Shifter can shapechange into a fat or skinny human if he wishes, but cannot change into an unnaturally strong one. Likewise he may choose whether his canine form has long fur, or short fur; but cannot give it extra legs. Etcetera.

Example, a Shifter can shapechange into a fat or skinny human if he wishes, but cannot change into an unnaturally strong one. Likewise he may choose whether his canine form has long fur, or short fur; but cannot give it extra legs. Etcetera. But what about driders then? They've got Eight legs.

Nine or ten legs however, not so much. Two heads are natural to the Ettin. Three or four heads however, not so much. Basically, if it's natural to the creature, yes. Otherwise, no. Get it?

I would imagine you could shift into a nine-legged drider if you'd actually seen a mutation like that, though.
I think it boils down to what you've seen: you can't just change into whatever arbitrary form you wish, it has to be a real creature you have some idea of.

What kinds of recreational substances are used in the underdark, other than alcohol?
Is there a class component to any of them, like crack versus powder cocaine?

LOL I imagine there are sorts of "magical" fungi being a cave. some random finds, though these are varient 3.5 items apparently. Quote: Archon Mushroom
Description: The Archon Mushroom tends to grow on ignored stores of grains or rice which are not kept suitably dry. It is a spotless white capped mushroom, that is dried and eaten most commonly by druids and clerics for its benefits. Eating one dose of the mushrooms quickly is a full round action, but the effects do not begin until about 5 minutes later. Eating the mushrooms gives one a sense of unity and understanding with spiritual or divine matters, but also tends to result in dizziness. They are typically sold in single doses for 1gp each. Benefit: +1d4 Wis for one hour. Cost: -1d4 Dex for two hours. and Pipe: 5sp Teapot: 1gp Pouch: 2sp Teacup: 2sp for non PnP'ers, sp is silver. I imagine ze shesha would be 2-5 gp and beyond this I have no comment couldn't find underdark specific information.

Actually, most sorts of substances stronger than alcohol are probably heavily frowned upon in Llothite culture. It'd be for a very simple reason: a drugged and befuddled drow is very likely a dead drow, as soon as a rival (or someone wishing to curry favor with a rival) realizes his or her state.

Moonweed isn't in any sourcebook I can find. I think it was just a name made up, myself. *shrug* However....page 96 of the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting -does- have two herbs that are used as contraceptives in Faerun: cassil and narraroot. Herb, Cassil:Cassil is a small shrub similar to a mustard plant. Its seeds are ground into a fine, tasteless powder that suppresses male fertility. Men who want to avoid fathering children use this herb. A male humanoid who eats about a teaspoon of cassil is rendered infertile for a period of 3d4 days, although it requires about an hour before the herb takes effect.
Stories abound of disloyal courtiers dosing their kings or lords in order to prevent the conception of a royal heir. Using either the Heal skill or Profession (herbalist), the effects can be detected with a DC 15 check and countered with a DC 20 check. Herb, Narraroot:Narraroot is a black, woody tuber with a licorice-like flavor. Shavings steeped in hot water make a strong tea that renders a woman infertile for d4+2 days. Chewed raw, the root tastes unpleasant, but the effects are more potent, lasting 2d4+4 days. Women who do not wish to become pregnant use narraroot. Using either the Heal skill or Profession (herbalist), the effects can be detected with a DC 15 check and countered with a DC 20 check.
