Is it possible to create a sequence macro that like ...Auto-casts my buffs while i go and pee?

Because i'm seriously tired of spamming myself as a wizard. Is it possible on nwn?

There are Spell Sequencer properties on items, though I'm unsure if they're actually available here on this server.

Spell Sequencers are ungodly broken and will never be on Amia.

If you're really fast with button combos and portrait clicking, you have a 1-2 minute window while your character casts. Run, Forrest, run!

Yups. Hotbars and memorize where your spells are on the radial. It may be tiring but that's the price you and your fingers pay for astronomical power.

Consider it your somatic component

You need the feat: still spell, then you can cast them without clicking!

also, logitec g11's and higher are really nice for that, im sure there are software macro programs too that you could use.

I consider that borderline cheating, though.

Your wizard should go and pee while you go and pee.

Why would something that queues your spells for casting be in any way cheating? It dosnt do it any faster then i could do by hand, it just saves me wearing the paint off my mouse and key board worse then i already have.

Ok, now i got interesting again.

Because i think it's due to the fact that you shouldn't use programs to do the actions for you.

You can already do this with a gamming keyboard. It does however create more problems than it solves on occasion however. Besides, if you can't just "//AFK, I need to pee", and casting all those buff is too much work, perhaps another class is more appropriate.

use of any third party program to perform actions within game , is a stipulation given by almost every online game ever. Blizzard bans from Diablo 2 servers if you do something as simple as use a tool to upscale resolution.

That is an argument for why it is widely considered cheating, not for why it is cheating. If Amia's staff considers this behaviour cheating, it would probably be a good idea to lock this thread, rather than risk encouraging the behaviour.

Oh please. My post isn't encouragement at all. IT's a statement that it's banned everywhere else so you probably shouldn't do it here either, considering we also ban the use of third party tools to modify your character.

I suggest you start wearing the pain off your mouse, Xenos.

I wasn't implying that your post encouraged it, but that the continuation of this thread does.

You can already line up your buffs in a neat line on your quickbar ready to be mashed. I tend to agree that there aren't enough quickbars in NWN, but if you want to speed up buffing try just using the spells you actually need to survive. You don't need an industrial strength hair-drying buff, it's nice and handy yes but not strictly required.

Just FYI : we banned people using macros and bots before. I think "way too lame" is a proper reason for a ban.

Just to be clear, does that include the programable keys on a G11? G15 as they can not be used to 'bot' but merely to simplify tasks such as casting your walking buffs when you log into the server after a reset, Putting in a body of text so you don't use up spell slots for the provided text macro's in game , etc

You seem to be talking strictly about macros that play the entire game for you, but I wanted to clarify

Bump. Is this allowed? The allowed number of characters for text macros in NWN is abysmally low. Can we use macro programs to, say, assign hotkeys for changing between pre-written descriptions?

I was wondering about macro's in a slightly different sense, can you get the emote wand animations into the quickslots with the text macro? normal sit down doesn't stay sitting, and it would be nice to skip the "puts hands out, *uses a special item*" bit.

Don't use the rest menu to sit, just use the emote wand. It lasts forever. And ignore the putting your hands out animation. It's just something that needs to happen, but in the game world, doesn't.
