Pretty sure I've asked this before, but.. Where would it be possible to find an Amethyst Dragon? And would that information be available IC? (Not asking where, as that is metagaming.)

Nowhere on the server currently supports the proper habitat for an Amethyst Dragon.

Alright, now the question simply remains: What is the habitat suitable for an Amethyst dragon? I heard Plane of Air, or up on mountains. But that may be untrue.

According to the FR Atlas (using my ruler), Ruathym is ~120 miles at its greatest extent. And according to the map, Amia is ~50% larger. It also puts Wiltun ~360 miles away

Question, are powerful wizards/sorcerers prone to have unnaturally long lifespans or is that usually done through bizarre rituals and stuff.
As an example, Halastar Blackcloak lived around 1,100 years before his death and he wasn't a lich as far as I know.

Still a good question though. Elminster, Khelben, The Simbul, and many other notable mages all had long lifespans. Granted, they are probably beyond your average level thirty wizard, but it's a good question. Can mages on Amia artificially extend their lifespan, through assumed magery or DM supervised rituals?

Those named specifically owe their lifespans to being Chosen of Mystra, not any specific feat of mortal magery.

Could have sworn there were a handful of long-lived mages that sort of segued into undeath/lichdom by simply being really freaking old and their life-maintaining spells corrupting them.

I too gotta say I recall something about mages living longer by flavor. I'm sure since they're human, supposedly they have to have the same lifespan, but we all know it's classic fantasy theme for wizards and such to be elder and wise and live a few centuries.
I can't recall which off the top of my head, but I'm almost 100% that it was put in as flavor somewhere. There are a few human mages, non-chosen that have lived several centuries IIRC, so it's not something I'd chalk up to only chosen having the benefit of.

A question on the drow language: Does Drow have formal and informal versions of its second person pronouns (e.g. you and thee respectively)? I only ask because I occasioned upon a conundrum.
Naturally my drow would punish any male (within reasonable rank, at any rate ... not going to pull down the Ul'Faeruk) that spoke to her rudely, and lower ranked males would no doubt be punished for speaking informally, including using words like 'thou'. However, while it may be informal in English, what if there is no equivalent in drow? Am I to ignore the English, or presume that there was a long drow phrase with similar connotations.

When talking in (language): status I tend to assume my personal character is talking as it would befit a (race) to speak, but with Common (English) subs to make it easier for us to read. In relation to this subject though. Poetry/Song in Racial Language - just because it rhymes in English would it still make sense in the different Racial language?

Tieflings.
The -2Charisma They have - Does it represent Plain uglyness, Or is it a way to make people avoid making sorcerers or Paladins or Cha based clerics?
Real Question Does Tiefling Sorcerers exist?
Because i have the impression Sorcerous powers hail from Draconic nature; (To a majority)

-2 CHA is from the general sense of evil and wrongness they exude, though ti can also represent ugliness, since they tend to have scales, hooves, horns, etc. They're generally unpleasant in both appearance and the feeling they give off.
As for tiefling sorcerers, there's plenty of them, especially if they have demon heritage. Demons tend to cast as arcane casters and devils as divine, IIRC. Their descendents would have a natural touch of magic in them, regardless, I'd think.

Question: Do Sun Elves tend towards archery or do they consider that to be a mundane way to be and any 'proper' sun elf would learn magic and wield the weave?

Archery is held in high respect by most elven cultures, IIRL. Maybe not as high as the Art, I guess. But that's why Arcane Archer is so prestigious in elven armies, they blend two of the Quessir's loves, magic and bows.
So it could vary from elf to elf, just like any sentiment, but I'd say they would tend to it just as much as any other race of elf. They wouldn't have any particular reason to look down on it, but how your sunny-boy views it could be whatever fits him.

From what I understand of Sun Elves, they tend toward melee combat a bit more than most other, along with the Wood and Aquatic Elves. So yeah, I could see them being heavy into swords and bows.

Part lore question part DM preference question.
Palemasters: In our setting, are palemasters considered to be the super-specialized "authorities" on necromancy, or are they simply mages that have used necromancy to enhance them self physically? Are level 30 mages with the proper specializations and epic summon spells considered equals in terms of knowledge to a 10/20 PM build, but minus the physical augmentation? Or would staff members prefer to see the dedicated necromancer take the prestige class?

In my personal opinion, a pale master would have a greater intimacy with and understanding of the intricacies of necromancy, both through study and personal experience. A mage who specialized in necromancy might know quite a bit about it, but I'd think a PM would be have a much stronger, almost instinctual bond with the necromantic school.

Unfortunately in NWN, the 30 wizard is a better necromancer in every way possible than the 10/20, but as far as street cred and requests are concerned I will hold the palemaster in higher regard.

When defenders retaliated, the dragon's tail destroyed an idol of Bhaelros which summoned an aspect of the god, riding an enslaved Brass dragon. The city's defenders managed to bring down the manifestation of the god and his mount but this only enraged him further and rained lightning bolts down constantly upon the city from that moment and throughout the next year. el Persakhal has been trying desperately to regain the favour of Bhaelros but his reign has been severely weakened and several of Calimshan's other cities have managed to regain a lot of independance

To my knowledge, Syl-Pasha Ralan reigns until the Second ear of Skyfire during the Spellplague, wherein Memnon and Calim are released from their prisons and begin their war anew. 90% of all humans in Calimshan are revealed to have been air and fire genasi in disguise and they immediately rally to their respective genies and begin a war. Humans and all nongenasi are immedately enslaved, a status that remians to this day. Calimshan is ruled by brutal genasi pashas of various power. Seriously. I'm not lying. 90% of Claimshani humans are actually Genasi. Fucking retarded. I'm sorry for starting a 4e war. ~ EDIT: Quote: Government
The government of Calimshan is composed of a hierarchal government. The largest of these governments is located in Calimport the capital. Each city models its system after the imperfect system of the capital city. At the head of each hierarchy is a Pasha. The Syl-Pasha Ralan el Pesarkhal is the supreme ruler who is located in the grand palace in Calimport and he will never take audience, not even for a deity. The Grand-Vizier might listen to important matters, but this is one of the greatest flaws of the Calimshan government. Like the Syl-Pasha, the neighboring Pashas divy power to thier Sultans. The Sultans divy power to a single Vizier who handles law and order. The Sultan or Prince also gives magistrates the power to handle civil matters such as water, roads, or structures. Inside the cities corruption is rampant and the real power is said to be in the hands of organized crime factions. Outside of the cities are the warlords and bandits who asert dominion of the areas hoping to become sultans themselves or just content with rape and pillaging what they find in a harsh desert land. Quote: History [edit] Post-Spellplague
As of 1479 DR, the land of Calimshan has been ripped asunder by the events known as the Second Era of Skyfire. After the Spellplague, the Calimemnon Crystal, prison of the efreet Memnon and the djinn Calim, shattered. The released creatures resumed their hostilities that dated back to the First Era of Skyfire (c. -6500 DR).[2]
In the wake of the return of Calim and Memnon, many of the residents of Calimshan, presumed to be human, cast off their long held disguises and revealed themselves to be genasi. These descendants of the elemental powers pledged themselves to either fire or air, took over the cities of Memnon and Calimport respectively, and joined the war between the efreets and djinns.[2]
The Second Era of Skyfire lasted until 1450 DR (the Year of Holy Thunder) when both Memnon and Calim were banished back to Elemental Chaos by an unknown event. They left in their wake a devastated Calimshan, torn by the remaining genasi warlords. The genasi of Calimshan are notorious for their treatment of humans as slaves and their constant fighting across the Calim Desert.[2]
The events of the Second Era of Skyfire left the metropolis of Suldolphor a blasted ruin where rogue djinn and efreets still clash. The last bastion of order in the region lies in the last human controlled city, the fortress of Almraiven. Once an intellectual center and center of magical research, Almraiven weathered the Spellplague and resisted its own genasi uprising. Currently, the WeavePasha protects the city from the ravages of the war that rages across the rest of the land, but his powers are waning.[2]

Humans and all nongenasi are immedately enslaved, a status that remians to this day. Calimshan is ruled by brutal genasi pashas of various power. Seriously. I'm not lying. 90% of Claimshani humans are actually Genasi. [removed] retarded.

Well then. 1) What's the source of the first quote, if I might inquire? 2) ..er. are we going with the whole.. "All them genasi" idea as cannon? ..arguably if they were "revealed to be" that means they were all along.. because it seems a might silly to me.

Both quotes are from the Forgotten Realms Wiki. Both quotes also happen post spellplague and so are more for your own edification and curiosity than use on Amia.
On Amia, as far as I am aware, humans are simply humans, un Calimshan.

Gorthod, if feytouched are elves, who don't quite dream but instead go into reverie, and fey are the reason elves go into reverie, well ...

Yurell wrote: A question on the drow language: Does Drow have formal and informal versions of its second person pronouns (e.g. you and thee respectively)? I only ask because I occasioned upon a conundrum.
Naturally my drow would punish any male (within reasonable rank, at any rate ... not going to pull down the Ul'Faeruk) that spoke to her rudely, and lower ranked males would no doubt be punished for speaking informally, including using words like 'thou'. However, while it may be informal in English, what if there is no equivalent in drow? Am I to ignore the English, or presume that there was a long drow phrase with similar connotations. Wikipedia comes up trumps here: Modern English is comparatively rare among the languages of Europe in that it lacks a T–V pronoun distinction. In earlier versions of English, thou/thee was used as a T-form for singular second person, while ye/you marked the V-form. However, use of the thou forms became stigmatised and they disappeared from speech, leading to the situation where the original V-form, you, became the only second person pronoun and thou/thee are considered archaic. Ironically to a modern English speaker unaware of the origin of the distinction, the use of thou (for example in prayer), originally a sign of intimacy, now has connotations of formality due to its archaic appearance.I am certain that the person using the word was doing so to sound "olde worldy", rather than to be rude. I think if you punished someone for the incorrect usage of an archaic pronoun, you would end up with a lot of very confused males.

You are of course entitled to your own opinion Tormak. I find using a word when you don't know what it means and then ignoring the fact that it could be construed as offensive to someone who does know what it means (such as someone in a position of authority being referred to as if they were a commoner when class distinctions do matter) to be distasteful. If I didn't know what 'whore' meant, and called you a son of one, you would rightly be upset (if you disagree with that example, I could go find an archaic word for you).
And since we're Rping our characters, I know my character would get upset at being referred to informally - I wouldn't mind being referred to in such an informal way OOC, feel free to use 'thy' in reference to me if you wish. But IC it's my character's opinion on the matter that matters.
