There is a way you can get a Greater Tome of Mystra without having to fight a boss or get it from a DM event. Those of you who know what I'm talking about, if you've been trying to get one, stop immediately. It is a bug, and exploitation of it is grounds for banning. We can tell if you have, btw.

again, there was no book -that- powerful there, I said "all the books you could ever want" and that -is- the...treasure? heck if I know if theres a real problem here...

The pile is only supposed to release -one- book per player, based on a random roll.

oh....can we say that the RP of me giving mask and velsharoon temple alot of menial books still stands for now? (no magic books we're exchanged RPly, I shall ditch all but the edible raise one myself, and the ones I had before I went there.)

I shall inform the player I sneaked in there with to ditch the excess books aswell, I am sorry for any rule breaking, I assumed the treasure we found was an infinate pile of sub standard books >_>

ed: pm'ed peeves everyone I know who might have already gotten in there, decided to keep one book that contains vague info about spell components for RP, every other book except the ones I had before I went in there is now in the bin in dale.

Anyone who I see with a suspect Mystran Tome which is proven to come from that source will lose the book and a whole lot of other shit. You'd better start ditching them pronto, and shame on you for actually abusing it.

so I got a drow book, and a druid book from there... Neither of them anything more than mere books... Do I need to trash them, and go back after the bug is fixed, or what. What should I do DM people types?

I'd only be concerned about the Greater Tome of Mystra myself. All the others are available elsewhere in the module on merchants or from loot.

I don't know what more I can say, it was a bug after all, one assumes that is the treasure. I hope everyone involved see's this and bin's what they have, far as i'm concerned I stayed IC, though fair enough I would have gone back for more magic books had I not seen this. thus why I posted in the first place, I thought -that- was the treasure, it is a damn hard place to survive after all. maybe i'm thinking too pnp -_-
