So there is this article about stupidest monsters of DnD, and it is quite amusing, I probably guess that some of you have already seen it, but either way, here it is:
CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF VERY STUPID MONSTERS.
remember to check out the sequel article

The Flumph, yet more evidence of the existence of the FSM? I must inform the clerics. May you all be touched by his noodly appendage. Ramen.

Though their stats may not be anything to laugh at... the concept behind some of the D&D creations is rather retarded.

The most hilarious thing is that I have the vast majority of these books around and thought little of these obviously absurd monsters while leafing through old copies of the 1st edition Monster Manuals. Alright, the Wolf in Sheep's Clothing is just too ridiculous not to point at and laugh. It makes me wonder if Gary Gygax saw that entry on the editing floor and just said " Meh, it'll fill a page." I think I'm going to go back and read more up on that Flumph. Why oh why is it lawful good?

The Amian version would have a badger on top of it.

Clearly the author had access to the Fiend Folio. However, he neglected to mention the Adherer (a sticky mummy), the Garbug (a flying lobster/mosquito), the Goldbug (which looks like a gold piece), and the Nilbog (a spatiotemporally reversed goblin that is healed on taking damage and damaged by cures). How could he!
