Hello there,
Here I have a question for all of you and please do not kill me if you heard it before.
What if I have a religious character (lets say a priest) who is being rewarded directly with something like a summon, being sent to her by her god to support her, which I would realize by giving my summon a reskin to something suitable. Would I need the permission of the responsible DM for something like this as I really do not want to metagame a deity as it is kind of the same as receiving a holy artefact from a deity. D:

Well you will need to request the reskin anyways, so I'd say getting the RP verifies goes hand-in-hand with the DC request.

That I have planned.. but I don't want to pretend that Im the fav <3 servant of my lord so that he would give me something awsome like holy support without having it verified..

Yes, in this instance, obviously, request it.
There's only one bit of wiggle room, ever: a PC can claim something came from a deity, since they work in mysterious and symbolic ways, but that never means it actually did, or that if it did come from a deity, that it actually came from the deity you think it came from.

My priestly character thinks he is the chosen of his goddess... if he is, I dont know that up to dm's to decide. The fact is if your a level 30 cleric your deity at least has a liking for you.
