I recently made a Drow on Amia B named Maltlaraum, and I was surprised to find the starting area for the Drow was empty of PCs. Does anyone want to come visit L'Obsul and play with me?

l'bsol has always been unpopular spot for drow rp. So its always pretty empty. The drow settlement edonil is in a state of decline cause no one can come to an agreement to how that township should be govern in terms of Drow Tradations. This has frustrated a major poartion of players into inactivity.

I'll keep an eye out for your drow. My Priestess has been grabbing drow and going on "outings". The last one was quite fun and entertaining. Look for Tinnerai, Ussen d'Vhid and Qos'Yutsu - all Drow houses and last names of drow characters. If you see me log in shoot me a Tell Cheers - Fierene Havenstar

Well, it seems I've come to the Drow community at an inopportune time. Nevertheless, I would like to extend an invitation to any who want to roll up a new Drow in L'Obsul and roam with me through the Underdark. We can leave politics, OOCly and ICly, up to the Drow in Edonil and just have some good adventuring fun. My only request is that we do not leave the Underdark.

It's quite on topic Tyvm. Edonil has only brought split to the underdark and it's the very reason why L'obsul is so scarsly populated by 'any' underdark race nowadays.
It should be brought up over and over, That there's more PC's than just the Drow in the underdark. You have problems finding Drow to RP with in L'obsul, Then my advice is to broaden your PC's interaction span and copulate a little with the Kobold / Goblin / Hobgoblin / Ogrillion / Duergar population in the area. You'll gain more by socializing with the current residents rather than ask for new drow to make the same ultrinnan mistake all over.

I don't have the time to make an alt, but my established Drow may be interested in dealing with yours. To that end, there are some fliers about the area that imply there is a merchant about who may be interested in taking on another able body for paid tasks. If that's not your style, I understand! The offer's there.

When I said the starting area for the Drow was empty in my original post, I meant it was empty. In three days, the only PC I've run into is one kobold in L'Obsul. I would compare this to the three to five kobolds you see running around Cordor every day, not to mention the plethora of other PCs in that starting city. That said, if anyone wants to roll up a non-Drow Underdark inhabitant I did not meant to exclude them from my adventuring party. They are welcome to join in the gang. LetumLux, as for your offer, I do not really see my Cave Stalker/Tunnel Fighter character being too interested in gems. But, like above, perhaps if there is a Duergar in the group--or a kobold/goblin interested in shiny objects--you could recruit them.

My honest opinion would be to simply keep levelling up your Drowsie in the meantime considering how most of the places in the Underdark are very hard to go through, especially depending on your build type (being Rogue's the hardest to start with, in my opinion). I'm more than likely saying that it's best to wait for a Drow character to come on at a random time and see if you can sneak some RP with them into both your times in the server - that way it doesn't feel so dull and planned out. Or just hunt for any other single underdarkling in the whole area, so that way you might be able to get some extra special RP in and learn more about the other races down there. It's not that I'm against this threat, I was merely adding onto the topic. But to be quiet fair, I lost all interest in Edonil even if I do think the place is certainly a nice place to be but just a bit too... un-Ultrinnan. I miss dat place. 3: Have fun in Edonil while you're there, though! I'm sure there'll be a few players to come at the most random of times, depending mostly on the timezone you're currently in because otherwise if you're like us UK folk, then you might have to wait 'til six in the afternoon for anyone to appear. >.>

Don't let the negative folks pull you down. Underdark RP has markedly slipped across the board. Some just enjoy blaming the drow for all of it any chance that comes up. Nature of drow lol, be prepared for it. I'm on sporatically generally evenings EST. Conflict has always sparked creativity and RP among drow players. A conflict is most definetly in the works

I have also been about playing Ra'mora in her Merchent Role and I've been visiting other cities lately to increase her wealth and item selection. In my travels I have also notice alot of players have abandoned the underdark by converting there characters to heretics or simply rolling up surfacers. If your about I'm sure Ra'mora is willing to sell you some good stuff!
Oh as for the Ultranna Comments. Make no mistake edonil does not compair in the slightest to the amazing history of the old drow city. What damages the fun are players unwilling to place them selves all on the same page in terms of what should be considered as amia drow traditions and what shouldnt be. There was a time when that city had 6 thriving houses and more secret meetings and social interaction that would blow your mind.

That said, I get what you are saying about spontaneous RP, timezones, and availability; however, what I wanted to do with this thread, other than trying to round up some players to roll up new PCs, was mostly to coordinate where and when people are logged onto Amia so that I know if I have to "wait 'til six in the afternoon for anyone to appear." GolbezLunar, it'd be fun to meet up, but my character is probably too low-level to afford anything yours is selling. And, just so we are all clear, the cry for an adventuring group is not exactly meant to fill L'Obsul with PCs. It is a need for four to six people to fill a party with me to adventure with me in the Underdark, because, as Tysonm1 and others have pointed out to me, the Underdark is dangerous. I do not think anyone, OOCly or ICly, would ever try to wander it on their own. Be they Drow / Kobold / Goblin / Hobgoblin / Ogrillion / Duergar / etc. Of course, the group would also provide RP opportunities that are not available to those of a different level than my PC.

It's a serious question Bravo21. I have no idea what h/she meant with amia drow traditions; And i do not want to make assumptions because that would probably upset the drow playerbase.
But by all means, Troll away Bravo21.

But by all means, Troll away Bravo21. Ya started by bashing the topic. Which makes you a troll instead of a concearned player. Be constructive and help people better their RP rather than tear down the RP that you yourself are not even involved with.

Well, I am going to have to ask that this thread be put back on topic about L'Obsul. Do not turn this into your own personal debate thread about Edonil, and whatever sore feelings you have for it. All I want to know is whether or not people are interested in running an adventuring troupe out of L'Obsul. That is all. Please take any arguments about Edonil to PMs or a separate thread.

Just as a thought If you are trying to find some people to roll up some new UD characters to adventure with you then might I suggest posting something in the "General Discussion" as well? There is quite a large portion of the player base that do not even bother to check the UD forum but who might be willing to join up with you.

I'm joining you ito! I play most evenings US MST. PM me your details on time zone and we can see if meeting up will be possible. Some of us have to work a real job... (definition of real job up for grabs...) Drow character name: Baltana Azuviir - - - the Azuviir part should be considered OOC info because I'm looking to change it to a real house on server if there is one I can join - - - was looking at 2nd ed sourcebook and accidentally chose the one typoed house name and then additionally remembered I shouldn't use a house name but a surname so that's what it is right now, an OOC surname - house name was actually supposed to be "Zauviir" grrrr, damn misprint

I'm very tempted to start shoving glowing coals into old wounds with this thread. Svensk briefly mentioned a point (and much more politely then I usually do I might add) that I've been bashing into skulls for the last two years.

Don't use people's threads as a soapbox for your complaints. It is disrespectful to say the least.
Edit, response to below: Doesn't matter, no one really cares and it interferes with the goal of this thread.

Its a good thing I don't complain then. I just point out the obvious.
[edit] Anyways.
L'Obsul is the best staging ground for what the original poster is trying to achieve. Better then Edonil anyway in that its more accessible by those who don't have knife ears.

You are welcome to roll up your own non-Drow and join us, Galenson. But, please, do not tell others what or how to play. Be a leader, not a complainer. Be the change you wish to see.
I have opened the floor to non-Drow PCs by posting in the General Discussion section as well as clarifying my intent with replies to Svensk. The fact that no non-Drow as of yet has replied with an interested post leaves me to believe that they are all either too high level, like Selvec Darkon, or they are kobolds and goblins who start in Cordor like everyone else.
That said, bevic and Fierene Havenstar have recently rolled up goblins in the Underdark to help me because of the lack of players, but because they have many other things on their plate I do not want to rely on them regularly for company.

Again, I must ask everyone to please stop trolling in my thread. If you have any interest in helping me at all then by all means post in here with a character (preferably low-level) and the times I can find you online. If you've nothing to contribute except your own personal whining then by all means go make another thread in which you can bash the Underdark in any way you wish.
I repeat: This thread is not your own personal platform with which to advertise your personal thoughts or opinions on why the Underdark is good or bad. It is my thread about finding or creating a very small playerbase with which to level and RP in L'Obsul. If you want to join, wonderful. I will accept characters of any Underdark race provided they are in my level range and wish to hunt on Amia B.
If not, I wish you a good day, and please leave my thread alone. Or I will have to call TormakSaber here to moderate like he did in the General Discussion section.

Moldering thread, but useful as a platform. I'm currently a lvl 22 ECL Drow cleric, I'm just probing the waters to see who is within my range out there, and when they play.
