We could be, but just like every other faction, membership fluxuates over time. We certainly aren't at our all time high.

First of all you need an avatar and thus i dug one up.

ShortSlasher = Short slasher = Somebody slashing people up who is short. Then i realised that in 'Friday the 13:Th' The main character (The slashing murderer) Is rather short. And while you probably play an evil naughty slashing banite this Avatar will fit you like a glove.

@ The topic - I think the banites have been the biggest faction on amia, Honestly. Just remember back during Bane's keep how many members you had then , and how many you have now probably.

I also heard a rumour that there's quite a lot of Swedes in the Faction. :idea:

You were in the faction before! Just swelling the Swedish plague... The Banites are generally a big faction though.

They were very quiet before they had a keep and after the keep got destroyed and really only swelled up again after an event I won't discuss so the Banites don't get metagamed. So yes, trends, like pretty much every faction in existence.

Publix charges high prices for all manner of groceries and products that you can get for anywhere from 50% to 75% cheaper at a store _right beside it_. In other words do what HoA did to honor the ones that held the title of "Apocalypse" or others that have since died that deserve honorable mention. Set up the equivelent for Banites in the Church of Bane forum. That way it will only be available to Banites.

lol nice pic!...scent yep can smell them from here lol j/k name tags? Nope it's the green and black attack that makes them readily known, or the fist of bane on there cloaks.

It's not the names I associate with Banites, it's the green and black that they wear, or as Greyweaver said, the cloaks (though the cloaks are somewhat less common). Guessing that someone is a Banite or accusing them based on visual cues is not metagaming.

Why all the OOC recruiting? To me it seems like the Banites are ICly laying pretty low but are grabbing players in an OOC manner, this is just speculation of course but to me this screams. "Make a Banite and join us so we can keep our faction alive"

We're not the only faction that has OOC advertised that the faction is around. We do not recruit OOCly. We recruit ICly. We advertise OOCly. Big difference.

Advertising a faction OOCly and recruiting for a faction OOCly are pretty much the same thing anyways, you catch peoples interest and they try their hardest to get accepted into this "new" faction. I'm not trying to grief or anything if that's how I'm coming across.

This thread's purpose is the same purpose as any other recruitment thread. To let people know that we're out there, and if it is difficult for them to find us, then we can arrange something to help the faction actually grow, and through that, the Serverwide RP that we will one day hope to generate, from having a faction large enough to make a successful impact.

Quitting a faction and then trolling them in their own thread is pretty fucking scummy, Draco. I'm disappointed.

I'm not trying to troll them, I'd actually love make a character to join the faction again if there wasn't conflicting interest. Was just commenting on advertising/recruiting in an OOC manner as opposed to doing it IC. I know Banites ICly are one of the most hated people in the world and it makes spreading that interest all the harder having the whole world against you. But that's what makes you mighty, spreading fear and converting others ICly and those damned "goody goody" paladins be damned. Take from my post what you will, I meant no offense.

Just a minor suggestion, Short? Why not lock this one and put up a new one? Might streamline it a bit and prevent a lot of the "Jesus, X pages? Hell with that." syndrome.

I'd rather not see the boards get cluttered with multiple threads. It's a peeve of mine, and I've seen enough of it around.

What about asking a DM about pruning the clutter from the thread?
