As the ruling stands for the moment, kex is forced chaotic neutral. Kex is a earth genasi who has a very strict code of conduct everything he says and does is by this code. A ruling has changed him from lawful neutral 70 points to chaotic. I will not argue my case..a dm said a ruling i know the consequences for defying a dm, besides i sent my defense in a pm :D. My question is am i forced to rp this dramatic change in his core values opinions thoughts and beliefs. Or is this merely a mechanics thing i can ignore and rp as i always have?

If you want to change it to another alignment, then you should RP in that particular direction.
Then make a request in the appropriate forum to change the alignment back.
That's my understanding of how it works here.

In my opinion, and im sorry if this is rule breaking, i was never rping chaotic at all. i do not know what i can do short of things that can not happen because of rp i can do to prove more so that im lawful

Well really depends on DM discretion in these cases.
If you summon undead, you get evil points.
If you side with a group of known bad guys, you get evil points.
If you break the law knowingly, you get chaotic points.

The only thing you can do is to RP back to the alignment of your choice.
Help apprehend a criminal or something.

Broke no laws violated no honor codes yeti m chaotic, i sided with a group that asured kex he would never have to violate his code they treated him with nothing but respect while the goodies treat him with nothing but disrespect so he figured them honorable. but this is risking violating a dm ruling thats not what im debating. I need to know if the dm forced shift effects personality and choices.

It does not. Else you can never get back on the right track, right?
