How do I get the Amia heads to appear when making a new character? They are in my override and no luck.

did you make sure that they are actually in your override folder itself and not in a sub-folder under overrides called "heads"? I know that has happened to many players.

Some of them are in a number range that won't show up on creation, so you'd need to poke a DM in game to have it changed by them. Find the number in the Rules & Lore forum and just give them that. It's easy and takes 5 seconds once you have their attention.

Heck, I still can't see the bulk of the heads we have in game. And that is -with- only the new override installed.

Some of them won't be shown on the char selection thingy. You got to go into the toolset and view them there, then look at the head number for the race you want and ask a DM ingame to set it to that number.

I got it sorted out, but I didn't like taking up a DMs time to do it. Maybe move this thread to the improvements suggestion area? Seems to be that it would be a simple matter to have an NPC in the maintenance room that can set your head for you, especially now that we have that handy reference chart. I think I recall Amia having something similar before, but I'm not sure where it went. Possibly make it so that it only works if you are under level 5 to avoid people changing them around all the time.

Some head are not really meant for pcs to have and the argument in the past has been that it could be heavily abused if players could change heads at will if memory serves me right.

There is a head changer in the game but you need a DM to take you there. Not really a huge hassle.

I can see that, with some of the weirder heads on the chart. It can't just have a note saying "Don't be a douche."? Heh.

Nah. I can definetly see some people takng the Darth Sion head for their Pale Master, or Mephistopheles head for their Tiefling, things that are vaguely justifyable, but really...eh. Perhaps if that was put back, but programmed to bypass head number this and head number that?

The test server headchanger was programmed to do just that - bypass the weird and not so justifyable heada. It worked flawless... I find it strange to remove such a gem!

Because we want control over who takes the abnormal head, i.e. Darth Sion and Mephistopheles.

You did not read my response. I just said the test server headchanger skipped those heads.

I think the DM reliant headchanging is relatively painless to a cyclic changer thingy, so long as your patient. Its much better then: Clicking...clicking...clicking...clicking...missing the head you wanted...!
